Chapter 50

Percy was having a blast

...other than the times he was thrown around through buildings or having to regrow severed limbs that is.

It seemed that Order had gotten his free-will back, or at least partially as his strikes were clearer and they had much more finesse in them. A testament to the primordial's age and skill, but he was still being pushed back...slowly.

Percy could tell that Luke was getting tired, he was too after all and they'd been fighting for a while, or it seemed like it'd been a while with all that had happened so far. Percy snuck a glance around the battle-field at the collapsed buildings, destroyed cars, ripped up and cratered ground, and empty sky.

That made him mad. It wasn't that Annabeth or the other warriors had shown up yet; He was mad that the so called 'gods' of Olympus hadn't come down to defend their monument. That pissed him off and he was sure that Luke had noticed but was deciding to stay silent about it.

They had a moment to rest when Percy punched Order in the chest with a Spiky Chain-wrapped fist, causing the other immortal to go flying off into the distance...collapsing countless more buildings in their area of destruction.

"Man. Do you really have to destroy every last building still standing?" Alpha breathed and Percy looked at him with a fang-filled grin.

"Of course. I don't really have to worry about hurting any mortals because this entire battle's sorta been in a separate reality." Percy said and Alpha gaped at him quizzically.

"What do you mean?"

Percy stretched his arms above his head, his ears flicking as he did so and looked around. "I learned a few things about energy manipulation from dad after I'd taken over his dimension, and while I can't really effect entire planets yet, or keep people from seeing the effected area. I can still reflect an entire city and basically turn it into a separate reality for fighting...or destroying things." Alpha was silent for a moment. He stood straight and looked around.

"You mean that since you appeared you made this entire area into a parallel realm before even starting to fight?" He got a nod and sighed putting a hand on his face. "Man you're too powerful."

"Maybe now..."

"No you've always been strangely powerful Percy. No other child of Poseidon, former or not, has ever been able to do the things you have before and since you turned into a god it seems that you really don't seem to follow the logical rules of the universe." Alpha sighed, "Whatever...Having a mental breakdown can wait. What should we need to do about him?"

Order was just starting to appear in the distance, coming in at a high speed, faster than anyone other than a Warrior or other primordial could perceive.

"How about we immobilize him and get Chaos down here to talk sense into the guy." Percy said, "Nothing else it working." Another sigh answered him and the two leapt back into combat.

They both rushed Order from different angles, and yet no matter which direction they came from the other immortal managed to block it: front or side? Blocked by the sword; Behind? Blocked by either a blast of light or a thin stream of energy; Even impossible angles where Order was defending against an attack, leaving another side open to attack was blocked. Eventually an arrow struck the Primordial in the thigh and Percy stepped forwards and cut off an arm at the shoulder. Sure it would heal given enough time, but Percy didn't plan on giving the being the time to focus on healing, and neither did any of the other warriors.

"You will not defeat me. I have been around for eons longer than your godly parents have even thought their first words." Order said, and despite missing an arm he was still managing to give all four of them a hard time. Percy and Alpha struck at the same time -- with Percy's sword aiming for the neck and Alpha's aiming to cut off the other arm when Order blocked -- but both were blocked, again.

Suddenly the thin point of a new sword poked out of the primordial's chest, speared through the heart from behind by Glamour. However she withdrew her sword and disappeared as fast as she'd appeared and that caused Order to growl out loudly in frustration. Turning into a roar of rage as Alpha cut off a leg at the knee and an arrow speared itself into the bicep of the remaining arm. Order sensed that they were up to something and used a blast of white energy to both distract everyone and teleport away to a safe distance. His arm and leg started to regrow at an astounding pace and he tore the arrow out of his arm.

He was fully healed by the time everyone breathed their second breathe.

"You aren't trying to kill me anymore." Order observed and everyone's eyes hardened as he brandished two swords, each growing longer than a claymore and Order stabbed both into the ground, waiting. "If you won't take this seriously then I'll just make you come to me."

Percy growled in irritation and the two warriors present looked at each other with doubt and worry. Silver watched from the edges of the rubble and decided to make the first move. She used her bow like a mad guitarist. The string being pulled back more than a hundred times a second, with each release sending a flurry of arrows towards the primordial, until the sky was literally raining down arrows upon Order. He just stood there oblivious until the last moment.

His movements were slow and deliberate, only one claymore was pulled from the ground, occasionally swiping and blasting thousands of arrows into pieces in a moment, and as soon as it started, it stopped and the claymore was sheathed back down into it's slot in the ground. The broken pieces of arrows and silver light scattered around him like a graveyard of archers, and Percy took that as his cue. Leaving behind the other two in their shock and rushing towards the man in a streak of red light, as soon as he got in range as a blast of energy rushed past him, followed by countless others as Percy meticulously made his way closer.

He was just about to get within range of Order when the being grinned, his eyes flashing dangerously and Percy was blasted with two incredibly powerful beams of light. Destruction has been pulled out and was blocking both blades but even with their path blocked their power still made his claws dig furrows through the concrete as he was pushed back. Percy was just about to disengage and drop to the ground when the beams stopped, and Percy dropped to a knee breathing hard looking up to see that his sword was glowing with a red energy and the other two had engaged the primordial. Alpha was going full assault and Glamour was trying to sneak in with quick retreating strikes but neither was making any progress as the primordial just moved with minimal effort to dodge or making them retreat with his own occasional punches and kicks.

Percy's entire body was badly burned, slowly healing, but all of his skin had become blistered and almost black with most of the fur on his arms, legs, and ears having been incinerated. He stood slowly, and noticed that one of his ears had actually been incinerated and was slowly growing back, his hearing correcting as it did. He looked at the warriors fighting for all they had but whatever style of combat the Primordial was using was just too much to contend against it seemed.

Percy looked behind them towards the sky and he saw the small dot of two ships headed towards them in the distance, one was the familiar one that he'd seen after fighting the Avengers, but the one next to it was unfamiliar and Percy hoped that they either had something to help or stayed away as to not get in the way. He turned back to the two fighting and dashed forwards to join the fray. He waited till they were disengaged before jumping to his side with a portal open, and then he temporarily went into his godly form and struck at the motionless primordial.

Order let the wave of power wash over his form harmlessly, impressed as it had cracked several sections of his armor and even shattered his gauntlets and a portion of his helmet, but he raised a newly-formed gauntlet-covered arm and blocked the sword coming from above. He sensed an arrow and the rapier coming towards his head from behind in parallel and used a little energy to knock the arrow off course and tilt his head. The rapier's point went just past his eyes before the entire thing disappeared, as with the presence from behind him and he stewed silently in annoyance, impressed with the skill these demi-primordials and the newly crowned primordial's prowess.

Their power was stronger than his when he first formed in an empty universe, first meeting his brother Void for the first time and his wife Chaos. His memory of touching her hands for the first time was still fresh in his memory and the feelings as their powers birthed the universe was something he would never forget, but in their consummation with each other they'd forgotten about Void and he became Lost. Order heard the small childish voice in his mind, pressing him into attacking, and killing all those around him, but he was in control now and for as long as he was in control he would let nothing stop him from atoning for his mistakes.

Chaos didn't know. She'd never met Void before and Order mistakenly did his best to keep it so, but in his pride and lust for her he forgot about the bond they'd made through their many adventures through the void together. Void showed him the farthest reaches of space, and he showed him the first Star-cores, and Order in turn taught him how to control his powers.

And that was why this must be done, Earth had to be destroyed to bring back Void. His brother had been alone and lost for so long in the farthest reaches of reality that they only way of getting him back was by breaking it

-----------------

Something had changed in the few moments since Order had taken back control of his body. Alpha noticed it, and he knew the rest of his team --including Percy, temporarily -- had noticed it as well, but since that had happened they could so much as touch the guy. Every strike was blocked, and everything else they threw at the guy also failed.

Alpha could sense the other three of his team coming in, slowly, far too slow if they wanted to actually have a chance of incapacitating the guy before something bad happened to the planet. As the guy stood he there was a pillar of energy extending from beneath him towards the center of the planet, and those swords were the key to stopping it. Every time one had been pulled out the stream of energy reaching downwards had stopped for a moment, resuming only once the sword was put back in it's spot, and Alpha was sure that Percy had noticed this as well.

Well either that or the guy had actually lost his mind, just rushing in like a madman possessed.

Alpha dashed in and joined Percy once again as the chains and swords encircled the primordial, trying to strike him from every direction, letting in arrows and Glamour with occasional shifts and cracks in it's form, but not even that had gotten Order from taking both swords from the ground to attack of defend. That is until Percy did something stupid and genius.

He threw both swords at the other Primordial's face and two long daggers appeared in his hands. Alpha, and the others watched in shock as the Primordial stilled and pulled out both weapons for the first time, blocking the swords with one and blocking the knives with the gauntlets of his hand and striking back with it in the same motion. Percy's chains had fallen to the ground, slack and Alpha took that chance to take both an arm and a leg on the same side and he noticed Glamour appear next to him. Stabbing her rapier into the side of Order's chest, the tip barely penetrating through to the other side before letting go and jumping back.

A loud boom pushed Alpha back and sent Order flying, and he realized that Glamour had let go of her sword because she'd seen Percy's strike coming. Alpha noticed that it reappeared in her hand a moment after the strike and she checked it for a moment. Scowling when the tip fell off and sighing.

"At least that's better than the whole thing shattering," he heard her mutter softly and there was a rush of wind and a streak of silver in the distance as both Percy and Silver dashed towards Order to sever his remaining limbs.

That was the plan they'd come up with anyways: They would all work together to sever Order's limbs, and then they would call Chaos down to exorcize Order of whatever was Possessing him. It wasn't that well built of a plan but Alpha was sure that it would work, even when the others were doubtful of it he persuaded them into at least trying it until they relented and agreed. If there was no other way then they knew that one of them might have to sacrifice themselves in order to destroy Order's body completely and hopefully Percy would be able to wrestle control of the souls and separate them before Order reformed his body.

Alpha and Glamour dashed forwards to check on the situation and they found that Order had indeed been unable to stop both Silver, who was admittedly a better close-combat fighter than he was, and Percy from severing his remaining limbs. Alpha still found it strange that Percy's body changed and made him grow wolf ears, a tail, and rearrange his limbs into that of a digitigrade bipedal man half covered in fur but he didn't think more about it as it seemed to make Percy fight better.

It also seemed like the changes were slow and reverted back after a while...

"Alpha, Glamour come!" Silver yelled and the two made a quick portal and appeared by her side to channel power into Order and keep him from regenerating. "Alpha thee hast' the best connection to our lady, call upon her name to caste the afflicted of their plague."
(I'm probably really bad at mimicking her Old English so please forgive me X_X)

"Alright. Chaos...Mother please come down and join us in battle." Alpha said and Percy looked at him with a frown as a dark purple portal opened up next to them all.

"You could've done that this entire time but we had to deal with this wack-job?"

"No." Alpha shook his head, "Calling her to a battle-field takes too much time and power to use when in combat, and it takes at least three of us to be connected to the other in order to channel the minimum amount of needed power. It's like using portals when fighting, sure they let you get a surprise attack in, but they're extremely costly and super hard to do continuously."

Percy looked away with a mix between growl and huff leaving his lungs and Alpha looked at him flatly.

"Don't tell me you can..."

"Just focus on your stupid summoning ritual Luke." Percy walked off and sat on a nearby column of rubble.

"How about you come and help us instead of sitting off to the side there." Alpha growled back and Percy's fur bristled and his returned growl was fearsome and almost made Luke lost control.

"Don't tell me what to do. I worked with you once to help put that punk down, but I'm not helping any further than necessary. And I wouldn't be able to anyways." Percy let a whisp of power generate from the tips of his claws, the red manifestation of energy caused the three of them to shudder. "Unless you want the three of you to feel how Red Silver effects other's bodies?" Alpha and the others were silent and one of Percy's ears twitched slightly. "Plus it seems like we're going to be getting reinforcements anyways...How long does it usually take to stabilize of portal for Chaos?"

"About three minutes with all six of us, but ten if it's just three..." Alpha sighed and the other two grit their teeth in frustration.

"At least the time span had lessened from when we first learned to do it," Glamour tried and Alpha sighed dejectedly, admitting, "Yeah. It did used to be twice as long so we've improved somewhat."

Percy looked at the three in shock, and noticed that Order seemed to be regaining consciousness. He stood up and prepared to help the three of them, but the limbless thrashing did nothing to free Order from their grasp, or was it Lost.

"YOU WILL NEVER KEEP ME CHAINED FOREVER!" They howled, "ONCE I GET OUT I'LL..." Percy put a plate of formed red silver around the primordial's mouth and the curses turned into screams of pain.

"Did thee have to silence the blasphemous with Silver Pain?" Silver said and Percy smirked.

"No, but every time they start swearing and cursing of the things they do when they get free, and every time it's just as annoying as the last."

She just looked at Percy with a sigh, "Plus it only stays hot for like, ten minutes, so that should keep him nice and cooperative until you're done." Order started thrashing harder and they had to put more pressure, and power to keep him down. "...okay, moderately cooperative."

The three of them just glared at Percy in return but redirected their gazes to the shadows flying by overhead. "They're finally here it seems." Percy said what everyone present thought, watching the ships starting to land.

Second chapter that's been scheduled for next Tuesday. Hopefully it's decent of any mistakes...I am trying my hardest to finish this, but not seem like it's rushed...or going too slow.

Please tell me how I'm doing so far.

I'm trying to get back into describing fight-scenes more since I'll more than likely have to be doing so greatly in the future: for other stories and just in general. So please tell me how that's progressed as well.

I hope you enjoyed and I'll hopefully have others written and scheduled by the time this is published...hell the book will hopefully be finished by then so I can look towards working on my other main projects.
