Chapter 16

Jeez I can still remember making this story some four years ago and thinking it was going to be an absolute bust.
Well around two edits and en entire rewrite later and I've hit 100K reads twice in a month 😅.

I cannot express how much I love y'all and your support for this story. Thank you!

—————<Location Unknown>—————

A portal opened in the throne room of a very powerful being, but said being did nothing to stop the six figures that came out. All six soldiers bowed respectfully in front of said being but the leader looked a bit conflicted about whatever it was that was on their mind.

"Why weren't we told that Earth was going to get caught up in another war?" The leader spoke after a minute of silence, "Or that Percy was still alive?"

"Who is this Percy you're taking about?" The goddess on the throne asked curiously, "Oh wait is that the hero from the stories you tell the others as motivation?"

"Yes, do you know what happened to him? Why he has changed so much, and why the gods are against the very hero that has saved them so many times?" The leader asked and Chaos was silent and still for a moment, probably asking someone she knew about this new info.

"Now I do," she said slightly confused, "I don't know why but this event seems to have been hidden from my intervention."

"What do you mean?" One of the other cloaked people from the side stepped forwards. Her musical voice making the very air around her him and dance.

"There was another war that happened on Earth due to the Titans and the Dark side of Gaea's personality," the goddess paused, "apparently she branded him as a traitor and killed someone called Annabeth, but the gods seemed to see through her ploy as they destroyed her not moments after this supposed revelation."

"Not soon after this hero was taken in chains and tried along with the healing god, Apollo, for his crimes. Apollo was sent to Earth as a mortal and this Percy was...cursed and killed. Sent to Tartarus to forever remain a monster, but my son seems to have seen something in him as he is now the champion and successor of Tartarus." The goddess moved to get up from her throne but one of the other cloaked people, a make this time, spoke.

"We just were at Olympus and Annabeth was very much alive, but Percy, if that was Percy, he's changed." The goddess looked at them and hummed.

"Lady Chaos we know that the gods have been stupid lately but could they actually go this far as to believe some random Primordial that had just woken up and framed their best hero as a spy?" Another female cloaked person asked.

"There must be something else going on here," Chaos sighed, "Silver and Sundrop I want to both to investigate this thoroughly. Alpha and the rest of you need to train harder. I fear that my husband may be planning something again...

The Primordial sat back down in her chair and leaned her head into her hands as a sigh escaped her lips. The two mentioned immediately departed and the four that stayed, Alpha still up front paused thinking.

"What do we need to train for now?" Alpha asked, "he can't actually be thinking about destroying a planet, angering one of his daughters severely, and collapsing the universe just because you and him are fighting again. Can he?" The only answer he got was another sigh from the Primordial of Chaos herself.

"Sadly I think that he's lost a bit more sense than usual this time." She said and Alpha stood there confused for a moment before moving to leave, but Chaos stopped him for a moment longer.

"You know that you're going to have to go back and warn my grandchildren about this. It's unavoidable and we very well may lose if they don't pull themselves back together." She said and Alpha nodded in agreement. He'd go back, even if he now wanted to tear apart most of the gods himself for what they did to a friend.

It's been a month since then and we still haven't found Percy again, or Annabeth. Alpha sighed and hit the Chaos bag again. The bag was designed to redirect back a certain amount of the total force exerted upon it depending on the setting that it has been put on. Alpha was currently hitting the thing at half his power with the setting put to return 75% of that total power. It was a way for him to clear his mind and the pain it caused was something else that he could focus on other than the things bothering him.

"Are you going to punch that all day or would you like a sparring partner?" It was Silver. She's been standing at the door for about five minutes now just watching and even though Alpha knew, he didn't mind. She was a scout, like Glamour, and with her quick reactions and spot on marksmanship she was the best of the two.

Alpha stopped hitting the bag and looked at her with an irritated expression: one part of his mind wanted to take her offer, but the other part of his mind didn't want his ass handed to him once again by the former Huntress.

"I'll be at the arena if you want to," she said and walked away, not caring whether he followed or not. She knew he'd follow, the four of them have been together for almost three hundred years now, in Chaos years, and she knew how he thought and what he needed.

Alpha sighed again before going to follow her, he honestly didn't know why she didn't just take the leadership position, instead letting the male, him, have that job even though she's been alive longer and has more experience. Nonetheless he followed her to the arena where she stood on the far side waiting with a staff in hand. Great, it was going to be one of those days.

She stood there with her Chaos Wood staff, yes 'her'—she was the only person able to wield such a staff. And she stood there looking at Alpha with a grin, he frowned and picked up a Silver sword. The dam staff wasn't able to be cut through by anything, normal or supernatural. At least not any that they've found yet and even if it was somehow the thing could just repair itself as long as all of the pieces touched each other.

Alpha stepped onto the mat and barely gave her a chance to talk as he shot towards her in an attempt to catch her off guard. She didn't seem worried in the slightest, and the tip of the staff pushed the point of his sword away and off course while she sidestepped and brought the other end sweeping down to take out his legs. Alpha fell forwards into a practiced roll and turned just in time to block the staff as it came towards his head.

"You're thinking about Percy and that Annie girl again aren't you?" She said and Alpha just huffed and pushed her staff away to get some distance between them. Even though he had a sword and with her longer reach distance wasn't something that should be allowed lightly.

"We haven't found them since that day in the Olympian Throne room and Percy looked so angry. I've never seen him like that, not even when I was on the wrong side and tried to kill him." Alpha sighed, "And I haven't seen Annabeth in so long, but I know that she's also angry at what they've done. I want to try and help them both, but..."

"We can't do anything about it," Silver said setting her staff on the ground beside her lightly. "You know that we can't just go looking for the two of them. As much as I want to see Percy myself and apologize to him, I can't and the Annie girl is smart. She'll be able to beat some sense into him, even if she needs our help to do so."

"I just hope that he doesn't end up on the wrong side like I did," Alpha said, "he's been used by the gods and the Fates so many times that his loyalty might be near enough to shattering and cause him to bring down Olympus and possibly the rest of Earth."

"I know, I only realized it after he took the sky for my former patron goddess back then, but it seems that the legend is true. His Loyalty did become his downfall, even if he still walks among the living I don't imagine he's very happy with most of the gods for betraying him." Silver said, "Are you cooled off enough to focus...I see you are." Silver blocked the swing of Alphas sword as it came in much faster and more focused than before.

"Let's continue shall we," she grinned and proceeded to challenge her leaders fighting skills.

Lady Chaos was stressed:

First a few years ago her favorite demigod mortal was killed by the very people that she called her own children, and to make matters worse they cursed him while being cursed themselves by Gaea in her last moments. That curse made the entire universe unable to stop the events that played out after the war and no one would be able to recall what happened that day unless they were there themselves or had a way to see what happened in the past.

Secondly, her husband was throwing a fit again. He's already taken over fifteen star systems and was aiming for the entire Galaxy as he made his way to earth. Thanks to her teams efforts he's been halted from taking over the Milkyway entirely but that wasn't going to stop him for long and the attacks that the humans had to deal with recently have only proven that.

It's so ironic how Order needs chaos to achieve what he wants and Chaos needs order to achieve peace.

Now this supposed hero was not only her strongest first child's full successor and was now able to come to meetings of the council by himself. But Tartarus had somehow found a way to keep her from contacting him about said successor. It frustrated her to no end that one of her own children was ignoring her because of what was going on and she couldn't do anything about it with any ounce of her bottomless power.

"Maybe it has to do with this Percy that I can't contact my child, I guess it's time I meet him face to face about this subject." Chaos sighed and opened a portal. She wasn't going to be gone that long so the others didn't need to know of her absence...everything should be perfectly fine.

Thanks for reading and again I am amazed to see so many people reading this book. I didn't think I would make it this far with it and even though I absolutely suck at keeping to deadlines right now it's something I'll have to learn how to do.

Anyways sorry I took last week off, I wanted to get a little bit ahead on my update schedule so you won't see a chapter till the following Tuesday, or rather till this Tuesday just so I am not stressed out with updating and keeping y'all readin'.

I also wanted to change the years they've been under Chaos Time to be 3000 so that Tartarus years and Choas years were only set apart by a factor of ten when compared to Earth years, but I still don't know about that one

See y'all later!
