Yoongi's POV-

"And you're sure." I say slowly as I pinch the bridge of my nose.

"There's no other explanation, Yoongs. They were supposed to be here last night. It's almost eleven now and we haven't seen or heard from anyone."

"They're just... gone?"

"We aren't sure. Hi and some soldiers left to go back to the city a while ago. They are going to see if they can find them." Yeol says as he runs a hand through his hair.

"We don't know how or if this is actually the case, and there's not really any way to find out for sure, but we assume she got to them." Hyuk says with a clenched jaw.

Fucking Irene.

Every goddamn time we think we have the upper hand she pulls some shit like this that reminds us just how dangerous she is. How much power she holds.

"What now?" I ask with a frown.

"Chanyeol, Hi, a few soldiers and myself were able to get quite a bit done as far as listening to the voice lessons. We have the file that Hi was able to complete as well as one I've done. Those were sent to the District Attorney in Daegu this morning.

"Chanyeol and the guys we asked to help made some progress on two of the other files as well that I should be able to finish and send later today. Chanyeol should be good to leave with the three of you whenever you're ready." Hyuk answers.

"What were they supposed to be bringing again?" I ask. "Besides the phone, I mean."

"The blood samples and pictures of the room. If Irene got a hold of the cellphone that's one thing, but the other things are all we have as far as physical evidence to connect Jinyoung to that room. To show that he didn't die where he was found but was moved there." Hyuk says, voice full of frustration. "I want to be able to get justice for him too, but without those things that becomes basically impossible. It would just be our word against hers."

After Hyuk speaks there's a pause in the conversation. Only now do we realize that there is no longer music being played from the room we had left Kook and Taehyung in.

We were originally planning to let them finish the song they'd begun to sing when Yeol and Hyuk showed up and then all sit down to talk about this, but after that song was over they almost immediately started another.

After they'd done that we thought it'd be fine to let them enjoy their time for a few more minutes.

Yeol and Hyuk ultimately decided the news of Hyuk's friends being missing was better kept between the three of us for now anyway, the other two having enough on their minds as it is, so we stepped out into the hallway to talk.

When the door to the room swings open, Kook peaks his head out first, followed by Taehyung.

Both of their faces are red, sweat visible on their necks and foreheads, and no longer sporting their wigs or other accessories.

They both flash me content smiles and I try to do the same in return, but I know it probably looks forced. But that's because it is.

"Everything okay?" Kook asks, moving his eyes from me to Hyuk.

"Yes, we just came to get the three of you." Hyuk says before showing a more believable smile. "Your Grandfather is ready."

"Could we," Taehyung begins before glancing up at Kook. "Can we shower first? We kinda got carried away with the karaoke. Also, I was a mess the last time the General saw me. I'd like to be at least a little more presentable this time."

"I put the laundry in the dryer quite a while ago. It should be done by now." I say before turning my attention to Hyuk. "Do you think he'll be okay to wait?"

He surprisingly lets out a quiet chuckle before answering.

"It's very uncommon for people to keep a General waiting. Especially when they are the ones requesting the meeting." He shakes his head in amusement before looking down at his watch. "Will noon work? That gives you almost an hour to shower and do whatever else you need done."

"Alright. I think I know how to get to the laundry room from here, but after that I have no idea how to get to our rooms." I say before taking steps towards the two at the door. "Are you ready to go? Got everything put back in its place?"

Taehyung scoffs before saying, "Yes Eomma. We've cleaned up our toys like the good boys we are."

Good boys.

He's mocking me, but the words cause an unexpected chill to run down my spine. I'm quite taken back by the sudden feeling.

"G-good." I mumble and turn back to Hyuk quickly as I can feel my cheeks warming. "Do you know where the soldier guy is that showed us here? Or could you take us to the room before you go to the General's office?"

"I think I can probably take you." Yeol speaks up.

"You know you're way around now?" I ask skeptically.

"I've been actually paying attention during our walks with Hi. I think I can manage." Yeol says with a lazy smile.

"Lead the way then Mr Park." I smirk, gesturing in front of me with my arm outstretched.

"Will do Mr Min." Yeol says, flashing his dimply smile as he steps around me in the direction of the laundry room, myself following close behind before Kook and Taehyung join me on either side.

"Is everything okay?" Kook asks from my right.

I pause momentarily before saying, "Hyuk hasn't been able to get ahold of his friend that was coming from the city. The cell service is shit on the drive here though. I'm sure they'll reach out as soon as they can." I say in an even tone as I try to downplay the seriousness of it as to not worry them.

"Weren't they supposed to be here last night?" Taehyung asks.

I nod slowly. "They were, but they could have been delayed or the plan changed." I say before changing the subject. "You two really did work up a sweat in there. I didn't take you for such dedicated karaoke performers."

"I'm offended you didn't know we were performers. Especially since I am a recording artist like yourself."

"Ah, of course. How could I forget." I say with an amused laugh, remembering how Namjoon complained for weeks about Taehyung letting his singing on Namjoon's song with Jin go straight to his head.

"I deeply apologize." I tease as I bow my head.

We walk in silence for a few beats, Kook taking my hand in his as he moves a little closer, before Taehyung asks another one of his out of the blue questions.

"Had you ever heard Koo sing before I played that recording for you?"

"He heard me sing today." Kook rolls his eyes playfully.

"We yell/sang trot songs and Psy. That's not real singing." Taehyung retorts before turning to me. "I'll rephrase. Have you heard him sing seriously before?"

"No, but he has his reasons." I say, giving Kook's hand a squeeze to reassure him that I remember his reasoning behind his hesitation to sing around me. He gives me a small smile, which I return before he narrows his eyes at Taehyung.

"I'm not like you and Jimin. I don't just go around singing and dancing for the hell of it."

"So, you've never shown him your song?!" Taehyung gasps dramatically.

I crash my brows together as I look over at Taehyung. "His song?"

"Yeah! He has a song. A song he wrote."

"Shut up Tae." Kook says in a lowered voice through gritted teeth.

I snap my head to Kook with wide eyes. "What song?"

"Hyung, it's so cute." Taehyung gushes, bringing my attention back to him. "He wrote it for Chim, Namjoon and I. It's a song about how much he loves us. His Hyungs."

Namjoon? He's never mentioned anything about a song when he's talked about Kook's singing with me before. Strange.

"Would you let me listen to it?" I ask, looking back at Kook with a hopeful, excited smile.

His voice is so pure and his tone so light. Truly beautiful. I want to hear anything and everything he's willing to sing for me.

"It's nothing. Tae is just being dramatic!" Kook rushes out with blushing cheeks. "I-it's nothing. Honest. Can we please just-"

"We're here." Yeol says as he stops at the door to the laundry room. "Leave poor Jungkook alone and go get your clothes." He chuckles as he opens the door for us.

"Oh thank God." Kook exhales in relief as he rushes into the room.

"You don't even know what dryer our stuff is in." I laugh as I walk into the room as well with Taehyung just behind me.

"Yeah Koo, you don't even know." He giggles.

"Taehyung, neither do you." I point out teasingly with a quirked brow.

"Hey!" He scoffs. "I'm on your side."

"I'm starting to think this newfound alliance between you both might isn't so ideal if you're going to gain up on me like this." Kook pouts.

"Lighten up Koo. You love me. Remember, I make you begin." Taehyung winks.

"Asshole." Kook growls with a frown as he glares at Taehyung.

"I have the song on my laptop Hyung. I can play it for you any time you'd like." Taehyung grins at me, disregarding Kook's insult as well as his stare.

"Oh my fucking God." Kook groans as he leans his head on his arms over a washer.

"Stop, it's a great song. Be proud of your talents." Taehyung grins.

"Please shut up Tae." Kook groans.

I laugh at their bickering as I walk over to the dryer and start getting our clothes and towels pulled out.

"Don't be embarrassed Koo. It was a little cringey at the time, but I know Chim and I came to really appreciate the message. I'd imagine Namjoon feels the same." Taehyung smiles as he walks over to Kook, wraps his arms around his waist and rests his head on his back. "It really is a beautiful song. And I bet Hyung would help you make it even better with a backing track that isn't all staticky like the one that guy made for you."

"It's a produced song?" I gasp in surprise, stopping my movement as I look at him with excitement.

"Produced is hardly the right word to use. It's a generic beat that came from some wannabe producer classmate who knew how to use GarageBand." Taehyung shrugs.

"Hey!" Kook huffs as he lifts his head and shoots Taehyung a dirty look.

"I'm sorry, but it's true. That doesn't take away from the words though." Taehyung says with a large, bright smile.

"Can we please just get back to the room so I can shower. I'm about to die from embarrassment."

"Yes love. Let's each grab a few things, then we can carry them to the room and fold them later." I say, gathering some clothes in my arms as I kick the door to the dryer shut.

He doesn't say anything else, instead rushing to the pile of clothes, gathering what was left to take and rushing out the door.

"Come on Chanyeol." I hear him call out eagerly.

I begin to laugh again and Taehyung does as well as we walk out of the room after Yeol.

"Maybe you two getting along isn't such a good thing." Yeol laughs.

"No going back now. Right Hyung?" Taehyung says, nudging my arms with his as he looks at me expectantly.

"Undecided." I say with a crooked smile.

"Oh... Okay." He mumbles with a pout.

It was a joke, but his fallen expression makes me realize he doesn't take it as such so I quickly backtrack. "I'm kidding Taehyung. You're right. No going back."

His face immediately brightens as he presses himself against my side, throwing an arm around my shoulders.

Within a few minutes we are back at Kook and Taehyung's room.

Kook is the first one in, throwing the clothes on the bed before rifling through the pile for something to change into then rushing into the bathroom, shutting the door quickly behind him. And all of this just to avoid talking about his song.

It all happened so fast Taehyung and I just stood wide eyed staring at the closed door before turning to each other.

"Anyway," I blink a few times as I bring my attention back to the clothes to look for the clothes I had worn here. "I think I'll shower in Yeol and my room."

"Okay." Taehyung sighs as he sits down on the bed.

"Is that alright? Or would you rather me stay here?" I ask, searching his face closely.

He shakes his head. "No. Playing games and having fun with you and Koo really made me feel better. A lot better. I think, at least for now, I'm okay." He says with a small smile. "Thank you for offering though."

"Of course. I'll only be a few minutes and then I will come back here when I'm finished."

"Okay." He answers before he lets out a yawn.

"Okay, I'll see you in a bit and we can leave together."

...

"I'm sorry we were mean." I sigh as I continue to try to keep up with his long strides.

"Oh, come on Koo. He didn't even do anything. Be mad at me, not him." Taehyung says over his shoulder.

"I am mad at you, Tae." He says shortly as we follow Yeol and Taehyung around another corner into yet another hallway.

"I won't bring it up again. I promise." I say as I reach for his hand and I'm mildly surprised when he doesn't hesitate to intertwine our fingers together.

He takes a deep breath and says, "You know I'm hesitant to sing in front of you in general, let alone an original song. It's cheesy anyway. I was like, fifteen when I wrote it. The lyrics are embarrassing."

"Sorry, I know you're mad at me and I don't mean to make it worse by interjecting," Taehyung cuts in to the conversation, turning his head slightly to us as he continues walking next to Yeol.

"But I'd like to reiterate my opinion that the words are beautiful. And even more so because you wrote them from your heart. Like I said before, Chim and I originally blushed like crazy and cringed a little, but the song is really touching."

"Alright, enough about the song." Kook huffs.

When I hear him struggle to clear his throat after speaking I peak over at him to see that his cheeks are showing a light dusting of pink.

"Cute." I say with an adoration. "You don't blush often, but you look cute."

He turns to me with a sweet smile. "I've been thinking the same thing about you. Tae makes you blush every five seconds and it's adorable! You pout your already pouty lips even more and it makes me want to pinch your cheeks and give you many many kisses." He says before wrinkling his nose with an even bigger smile.

"How does he do that? I hardly ever blush."

"It's Tae. He can charm anyone. Hell, even Irene ended up falling for him. And that was after he showed up to her house uninvited and called her a bad host." He giggles.

I laugh along with him as we continue to follow Yeol and Taehyung around another corner where finally the familiar wooden doors come into view with two soldiers standing guard.

"Can you please let the General know we're here?"

Before the soldier can even turn around the door is opened to reveal the smiling man.

"Hello, please come in." He says, stepping aside to let us past but Yeol stays in his spot.

"Actually, this is mostly between you three. I think I'll go back to the room and try to get a little rest while you talk if that's okay."

"Of course." The General nods. "Thank you for all of your help Chanyeol."

"Of course." Yeol says cheerfully before bowing and turning back to walk around the three of us to go back the way we came.

We file through the open door, standing to the side awkwardly, waiting for permission or direction on where to sit from the General.

"It's very good to see the two of you again." The General says as he shakes Taehyung's and then my hand, before pulling Kook into a hug.

"And always nice to see you Jungkook." He says before pulling away to look at him. "I'm so sorry I didn't jump in yesterday when you were here. Your mother's behavior honestly stunned me to the point where I was frozen in my spot."

"Thank you for saying that." He says quietly, glancing at me, meeting my eyes momentarily before looking back at the General.

"Let's get started, shall we." He says as he gestures to three chairs that are sat in front of his desk. "We have much to discuss."

We shuffle over to the chairs, Kook sitting in the middle with myself on his left and Taehyung on his right while the General takes a seat behind his desk.

"It is my understanding that you may be ready to leave the base. Is that correct?" He asks, looking at Taehyung.

"Yes. The three of us are going together." Taehyung says with absolution, his tone making me smile. "And Chanyeol." He adds.

"Have you decided where you would like to go?"

"I'd like to go back to Deagu."

The General hums as he rests his elbows on the arms of his chair with his fingers interlocked. "Alright. We'll get a place arranged-"

"He already has a place." Kook interjects.

"Jungkook." The General begins to chuckle. "You really need to work on your interrupting."

"Sorry." Kook says meekly.

The General smiles at Kook before he looks back at Taehyung, dawning a more serious expression as he speaks. "Would that place be your Grandmother's home, your parent's or Yoongi's? Or perhaps your cousin's farm."

My eyes widen at the mention of my place in Deagu. No one besides my parents know about it. Not Yeol, Namjoon, Hobi. Not even Irene.

And Kook and Taehyung only heard about it today. I look over at Kook and Taehyung and they seem to be just as surprised as I am.

"As you know, we have been very... involved, with what's been going on with Jungkook. Because of this, and I don't mean to alarm you, but we know quite a lot about those closest to him. Which most definitely includes the two of you."

"That's scary." I mumble.

"I'm just trying to be transparent. And I only bring this up because, if you will remember Taehyung, I told you that wherever you chose to go we would provide protection. This is because all of the information we have access to we have to assume she does as well.

"We will try to keep where you are going hidden but who is to say that she won't somehow be tipped off by one of her many contacts and will try to follow or track you.

"We have to make sure you are somewhere she doesn't know about and Daegu is not going to be an easy place to hide you in. Especially when not only Taehyung but Yoongi both have ties there."

I hear Taehyung begin to sniffle as he says, "Please. I just want to go somewhere I feel safe and familiar with, and that's Daegu. I don't want to go anywhere else."

The General lets out a deep breath as he leans back in his chair. "You're set on that being the place."

Taehyung nods quickly as Kook turns to him and says, "What if we went to Busan instead, Tae. We know that the terrorist people don't know about me and my mother. And I don't think Irene even knows where my house is."

"She does know where your house is love. Remember when I told you about your medical record? About her sending it? It had your home address listed in the patient contact information."

He groans in frustration as he leans forward, placing his elbows on his knees. "So then, there's no where? No where that Tae might feel comfortable and is safe?"

"What about security?" Taehyung asks. "Won't there be security people around to watch out for us wherever we go?"

"I was planning on sending some people, yes." The General nods. "But the girl has proven that she can get through and overcome nearly any safety precaution."

"That's not necessarily true. We've never had a security detail. Not a professional one at least." I say before looking over at Taehyung. "We had the people Yeol recommended to keep an eye on my date with Kook, but other than that we haven't ever really had anyone."

"That's true." Taehyung says with a nod: "And if it's your people General, I'm sure they'd be much more adept and trustworthy than whoever we would be able to find."

"That may be the case, but that still wouldn't make me feel comfortable in letting you stay in places that can be linked to you so easily. I might consider Deagu, but we need to find something on the outskirts of the city."

Suddenly a thought comes to mind and I quickly voice it.

"What about Biseulsan?" I ask looking over at Taehyung.

"Biseulsan? You want to go to the forest?" Taehyung asks, skepticism written all over his face. "You can't live in it. And there aren't houses just readily available around there. All the people that do live there have lived there for generations."

"Well, that's not necessarily the case." I move my attention from Taehyung to the General. "Taehyung is right, the people who live there for the most part have lived there for generations. It is very uncommon for there to be open housing, but if you know the right people as well as have the money-"

"You're not suggesting to buy someone out of their house, right?" Kook asks with a raised brow.

"I don't know if I feel comfortable with that." Taehyung says quickly.

"No." I shake my head as I answer quickly. "No, I would not do that. There are newer properties available to select people that aren't listed anywhere. It's also not public knowledge that they exist. You have to be well connected to even know about them.

"I like to invest in property. I have the connections with high value realtors to know about these homes. It would be secluded and far out of the way. And if you could hide our whereabouts like you've been hiding everything else that goes on General, I don't doubt that we could go there and not be discovered."

"Doesn't the girl have the same connections you do?" He asks with a raised brow.

"She was never really interested in real estate. Didn't understand the value of it and thought I was just wasting my money."

"But she does know that it's not uncommon for you to buy homes or apartments?" The General asks.

I purse my lips as I tilt my head. "Now that I think about it, she told one of her friends to talk to me about realtor recommendations. I gave her friend a name but told them that I didn't even know if the person still worked because it had been so long since I'd bought anything new. That was about a year and a half ago.

"And until I purchased that second apartment in our building for Kook, it had been about three years since I bought a new place that I didn't move into myself. Irene was aware that I only bought that second apartment for my assistant to live in. And I have been debating selling it anyway.

"Now I'm leaning more towards doing so because if I do it could reaffirm to her that I'm not much in the investment business anymore because if I was, I would be keeping it."

"What if you move and she sees you or finds out?" Kook questions. "She'll want to know where you've gone."

I purse my lips as I think about his question. It's true. She keeps tabs on me. She'll notice if I move and she'll want to know where I'm moving to so she can tell her spies to start posting up somewhere new.

Realistically, against Kook or Taehyung's wishes, I don't have to move with them. At least not fully.

"We can discuss the details more privately, but I may have to live in both places."

Taehyung and Kook both look at me with puzzled expressions before Taehyung asks, "Both places?"

"As to not raise suspicion. If I completely move she will know it. If I'm out of town on the weekends or seemingly go to work and don't get home until the following evening she will probably just think I'm busy. It's not uncommon for me to sleep at the company."

"It's all so fucking complicated." Kook grumbles under his breath as he rubs his left temple.

"But... we were supposed to all be together." Taehyung pouts.

"It'll be okay. We'll make it work." I say to which he nods with a sigh.

"What do you think?" Kook asks, keeping his fingers to his rumple as he looks at the General.

"I think it sounds like a good option. If Yoongi can provide the contact information, I can have my guys look into it to confirm it on the security side."

"It might be risky, but I think it'd be better if I made the call. They take the privacy of their buyers extremely serious and my contact is a friend. If I request information she should give it to me no questions asked."

"Alright. Get a walkthrough scheduled or a copy of the floor plan or whatever they will allow for us to be able to assess the property, then reach out to me. I'll have Yonjun get you an untraceable cell phone." He says as he sits up taller in his seat.

"Why is a secure place so important?" Taehyung asks quietly. "Why aren't body guards and stuff enough."

"We are going to try to put her in jail. Make her answer for as many if not all of the heinous things she done. She's not going to go quietly. We expect there to be direct retaliation, with you three most likely as the targets, and we want to be prepared for them.

"Now then," He continues, "You will be able to leave the base today of course, but it may take a week or two to get housing accommodations finalized. I'll try to make it happen as fast as possible, but I'm also not going to cut any corners. Will you be okay to go back to the city until everything is in place, Taehyung?"

The three of us look at him, waiting for his answer.

He has his bottom lip tucked tightly between his teeth with his eyes cast down to his lap.

He slowly begins to nod before he looks over at me. "Can I stay with you and Koo? I don't want to go to my apartment. I don't want to be alone."

"Of course you can." I say with a smile.

"Okay. Thank you." He says before taking a deep breath and looking at the General. "We can for sure leave today?"

"Yes. Within the hour if you're ready."

"That would be great." Taehyung says as he scoots to the edge of his seat.

"I'm the only one with stuff to pack so we can leave as soon as I get all my stuff packed away." Kook says as he places his hands on the arms of the chair and moves to stand up.

"Before we end our talk, I would really like to clear something up. If that's alright." The General says, a bit of hesitation apparent in his voice.

Taehyung and Kook sit back in their chairs as he continues on.

"It's mostly directed at Jungkook, but it concerns you as well. I'm not sure if he has told either of you about what's happened between him, my daughter and myself. With her keeping some personal information about Jungkook from me."

I furrow my brows as I look over at Kook. "Another secret? And she kept it from her father?"

"Yes." He exhales, looking back at the General. "You said before that you understood why she kept it from you. Is that what you want to talk about?"

"Yes. I owe you an explanation. But before I get into that, I want you to know that I'm not the same person I used to be. I regret that I didn't have a change of heart until so much later in my life. Until it was long passed when I had the chance to right my wrongs."

"Koo, what is he talking about?" Taehyung asks quietly, but his voice is still heard by me. I'm wondering the same thing.

"My mother kept my sexuality from him. She never told him I was gay."

"She did it because as far as she knew, I would not accept you for it." He says before taking a shaky breath in. "My older brother was my hero. He was my idol and I wanted to be just like him, but I cut off all ties with him after he came out as gay.

"I didn't-" He pauses as he clears his throat before continuing. "I couldn't understand. And I didn't try to. My parents told me that he was just rebelling against them. Against our family. That he was dishonoring us.

"Our family cut him off and I went along with it. Not only went along with it, but agreed with it. I thought what he was doing was wrong and the punishment fit the crime."

I flinch at the word choice. Crime.
Sexuality isn't a crime. And you definitely shouldn't be punished for feeling love in a way that's contrary to what closed minded people think is acceptable.

"He tried to reconnect with me for years, but I never allowed him back into my life. When our parents passed away, my mother first then my father a few years later, he unexpectedly came to both funerals.

"It was unexpected because from the time he was disowned to when they died, my parents had not spoken to him. At least as far as I knew.

"It wasn't until my mother passed away that your mother actually saw my brother. I had never planned on her meeting him, and I didn't introduce her at either funeral, but she knew about him. She knew how I felt about him because she had heard me say for years how I didn't support him or anyone with that lifestyle."

"My brother passed away eight years ago. And it took him passing for me to realize how foolish and wrong I had been. For me to finally open my eyes and reevaluate myself, my feelings and my beliefs."

He sweeps another tear away as he says, "I didn't get to tell him I loved him before he died. He died thinking his little brother hated him, and I will never be able to tell him otherwise. To tell him that I was wrong. That I didn't hate him, I just didn't want to open my mind and my heart to try to understand."

He sweeps a fallen tear away as he looks at Kook with sorrow filled eyes.

"I sincerely hope you know that you are my family and I love you. I am so ashamed of how narrow minded I was. That I was such a bigot. I am ashamed that I didn't have this epiphany sooner because if I had, I could have tried to talk to my brother. Told him how much I loved him and how sorry I am for all the wasted years when we could have still been best friends."

He purses his lips and takes a deep breath before turning his attention to me.

"And Yoongi. I've already expressed my appreciation to Taehyung, but I'd like to thank you as well. I am well aware of how much you have done for Jungkook. How deeply you care for him and how lucky he was to have come across someone like you. And I do not believe for one second what my daughter said to Jungkook."

When he says this I hear Kook take a sharp inhale, sounding as if the air got knocked out of his lungs. The sound immediately drawing my teary eyes to him.

He lets out a sob as he brings his hands up to cover his face as he begins to cry. Taehyung and I stand up at the same time as we rush to comfort him.

"Koo, it's okay." Taehyung says softly as he starts to rub circles on his back and rests his cheek against the crown of Kook's head.

I kneel in front of him, placing both hands on his left knee as I rub my thumbs over his leg.

He continues to sob for a several more seconds before he takes his hands away from his face and locks his eyes with mine.

"At first, I tried to convince myself that she didn't mean it. That she was just being hysterical, but the look in her eyes. The tone of her voice..." He trails off as his tears continue to fall before he looks up at his Grandfather. "Once something like that is said it can't be taken back. It can't be unheard."

"Give her time, Jungkook. Sooner or later-" the General begins but is cut off.

"I don't know if she deserves for me to wait for sooner or later. To wait for her to not be so delusional! I don't care if she were to burst in the door right now, swearing she had come to her senses, that she's sorry and didn't mean a word of it. I wouldn't care because I know she'd be lying.

"No matter how badly she may try to convince me that is was just said it in the heat of the moment, I know that's not true. She didn't just say it to hurt me, she believes it. Believes this is his fault. And I don't think I can forgive her for that."

"Jungkook," the General says, voice full of concern as he stands up from his desk.

Kook wipes his eyes before he takes my hands off of his knees, keeping them in his as he stands is both up.

"It isn't true. I love you so much. I know it isn't true." He whispers breathily against my shoulder as he hugs me tightly.

I wrap my arms around him as well and we stay like that for a few seconds before he pulls away and looks at the General.

"If we are done her I would like to go and pack." He asks with shaky breaths, trying to keep himself together.

The General studies his features with sad eyes before he nods, "I will meet you all by the front exit. The one you came I when you arrived."

"Okay. I will try not to keep you waiting." Kook says before bowing.

After he is stood up straight he strides towards the door and leaves the room.

"Thank you very much sir. I'll get that phone from Hyuk." I say as I offer a short bow as well and step aside to wait for Taehyung.

"Thank you, General." He says with a bow.

Once we are both out in the hall we walk in sync in the direction Kook and the soldier are walking up ahead.

"You remember our deal?" Taehyung asks quietly.

I gulp down the lump in my throat, shaking my head as he grabs my hand in his and gives it a light squeeze.

"I-I won't blame myself." I stammer.

"And I won't blame myself either. Yes, that was the deal." He says softly.

I nod but don't say anything further, only sniffling.

He looks over at me for a moment before he slowly brings my hand up, placing a soft kiss on the back of it.

He then lowers it and picks up his pace, pulling me up the hallway to catch up with Kook so we can get back to their room and pack.
