When Kari woke up the next day she rushed out happily after changing into her casual clothing and skid to a stop upon seeing Palutena in the kitchen. Kari sniffed the air and let out a giggle. Palutena heard Kari's giggle and chuckled happily. She flipped the skillet she was holding, causing a pancake to go into the air and flip then land back into the skillet. Pit then walked in and smiled at Kari and Palutena. When everyone dispersed to do their own things Pit confronted Palutena to ask her a few questions.

"Lady Palutena, I have a question..."

"What is it Pit?" Palutena smiled happily at Pit as they walked to her temple. Pit gulped and scratched the back of his head as he spoke.

"A-about Kari... Why did you have me bring her here? Well, technically the centurions, and why does she have these abilities and what is going on?" Pit looked up to see Palutena's expression. The goddess of light sighed and walked on ahead.

"You'll find out soon, Pit." She replied and entered her temple room. Pit blinked in both shock and confusion. He then sighed and then went to do his own thing.

Hours later Pit and Kari were sent out on a mission to stop the underworld army from tearing down a spiritual monument of sorts in London. This monument was dedicated to a god/goddess and it was rumored among the gods and goddesses to hide some kind of power. Medusa must have ordered the underworld army to do this to get a hold of this rumored power! Was this what she was after this whole time? Pit and Kari landed and began to fight off the Underworld forces quickly while the few people in this particular area screamed and kept away from the area. The two soon heard a few gun shots from above as Dark Pit flew in from above and landed with them.

"Hey." Dark Pit huffed and Pit and Kari looked at him confused. "What? I was bored so I thought I'd help. That... And Viridi told me to..." Dark Pit huffed. Kari looked at Pit a little confused.

"Vi-ree-dee?" She asked after she slashed a Monoeye in half and it vanished in a puff of purple smoke as Pit began to explain.

"Viridi is the goddess of nature and has apparently taken Pitto in." He sighed and Kari blinked then nodded. Dark Pit huffed upon hearing "Pitto" and grumbled then began to attack some of the Underworld troops. Kari and Pit doing the same. When it seemed like it was all over, a shadowy figure appeared and approached them with a laugh. Kari stared at him for a moment then realized who it was.

"Y---You're that guy from Paris! The one asking about the museum!" She called in shock. The teen chuckled. His hair was no longer just black and he now had green and red streaks in it and his sort of rabbit tail style ponytail now had two snakes sprouting from it. He wore a tunic that resembled Medusa's in the sense that it was long and flowing yet his feet were still shown to reveal his dark blue sandals. His tunic was dark gray with bits of venom purple here and there and the tip of the slanted end seemed to disappear into a black shadow. He had a serpent tattoo coiled around his left arm with the head of the serpent towards his shoulder. His eyes were now we're snake like and his pupils were now slits like an angry snake.

"Hello again." The teen chuckled as he gave a smug look and crossed his arms. Everyone looked at him with narrowed eyes. "Oh, my bad. You don't know my name huh? Whatever, I guess I could tell you. The name's Serpendes (Sir-pen-deez) and you know my parents very well, therefore I know you very well." Serpendes pointed at Pit. "You are Pit." Then Dark Pit now. "Pitto is your name. And the human-" He pointed at Kari, ignoring Dark Pit's growl. "You are Kari, correct? I don't really know you as well as the angels but that is your name I'm guessing." He asked and Kari nodded slowly. Pit stepped forward with his guard up.

"Who are your parents, exactly." He growled and Serpendes gasped with wide eyes.

"Why, Pitty-pat, Palutena's pretty little pet, you should know by now!" He called, answering Pit's question with his reaction. Pit blinked in shock.

"Medusa and Hades... But, I thought they hated each other." The angel gulped, not liking the thought of Medusa and Hades having a son. Kari blinked and stared while Dark Pit began to speak.

"Geez, who knew those two could have a kid." He huffed in slight disgust. "Anyway, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be back in the Underworld with your mommy and daddy training or something like that?"

"Boy, you have a lot to learn." Serpendes huffed and then snapped his fingers and shadow versions of himself appeared next to him. Kari grumbled and began to fight the shadow Serpendes's with Pit and Dark Pit. (Kat: Serpendes's... I'm sure that's correct...)

Hours went by and everyone was tired from fighting for so long. Serpendes hissed then began to smash at the monument as hard as he could along with a few of his shadow selves. Kari was on the ground, face first as she began to wheeze. Pit helped her to a safer spot while Dark Pit went to stop Serpendes. But he was too late and the monument exploded, releasing the power it once held into the world in the form of a glowing golden orb. It hovered in place then began to dart around the place quickly.

It then rammed into Kari's forehead once she was standing on her feet then ricocheted off her forehead and into a wall then up into the sky then it vanished. Serpendes growled as it got away. He then looked at the three in front of him. Pit was helping Kari back to her feet while Dark Pit just glared at Serpendes in anger. The teen then backed away into the shadow of a building then vanished. Kari let out a groan as she held her forehead and sat up.

"Easy, Snowflake." Dark Pit huffed, using a nickname since he did not know her name, and helped Kari stand as well as Pit. Kari blinked and looked at Dark Pit with confusion. "Cuz of your hair." He said and rolled his eyes in annoyance. Kari nodded and gave a light chuckle.

"Uh, it's Kari." She told him while Pit grumbled to himself as He and Kari were brought back to Skyworld by Palutena and Dark Pit went back to Viridi's palace. Now that the rumored power was released, everything will begin to change. The tables will turn one way or the other very soon.
