The next day when Kari woke up, she got dressed after her shower then went to go eat with Lady Palutena and Pit with a yawn. Lady Palutena smiled at Kari as she sat down.

"Sleep well?" She asked with a chuckle and Kari nodded.

"Yeh..." Kari blinked and rubbed her eye as she began to eat. "Thank you for the food." She said as she swallowed a bite of food. Lady Palutena smiled at her then sat down with the two and began to eat. When they were finished eating Kari and Pit were sent out on another mission.

"Where are we going now, Lady Palutena?" Pit asked while Kari shot down a few monoeyes.

"You are going towards another old city." Lady Palutena replied and Pit frowned.

"More ruins..." He sounded upset while Lady Palutena chuckled.

"Don't worry Pit, it should not take you long. The staff I was telling you about is near by... Hopefully." Lady Palutena stated, slightly nervous.

"Wait, why did you say that?" Pit gulped and Kari looked at Pit and shot down some more monoeyes.

"Well, you see this staff has another half that are constantly warping to get back to each other. If that happens... Well, let's not let that happen." Lady Palutena stated with a small smile and Pit nodded his head and the two started to land.

"... Roman ruins..." Kari stated with a huff and then looked at Pit who was a slightly ahead of her. Kari ran up to stay close as they got closer to the treasure.

"Come on. This way." Pit stated and Kari nodded. The two were nearing the end when they came across a horde of monsters. Kari blinked and got ready to fight as well as Pit.

"I really just want this to be a walk in the park once... Well, walk in the ruins in our case." Kari frowned then attacked using close combat while Pit covered her using ranged attacks. When they were finally reaching the end of the battle the ground shook and everyone froze. Pit and Kari looked around and saw a big three headed dog. Pit went wide eyed.

"WHAT IS A CERBERUS DOING HERE?!!" He yelled out and Lady Palutena chimed in.

"Uh, Hades must've let his dog out for a little walk." She sighed and Pit looked at Kari, who was shivering. He then looked at the Cerberus and sighed. It went to attack and Pit shot one of its eyes. It growled and then went to attack again, this time to the frozen Kari.

"KARI MOVE!!!" Pit yelled, trying to go and help her but Kari was knocked away and out of sight, through a big hole that was in the roof. Pit widened his eyes as he lost sight of Kari. He growled and killed the beast then went to find her. But she was not in the ruins at all. "Where is she? Lady Palutena do you see her?" Pit gulped and looked around again. Lady Palutena sighed.

"I see her, she's fine." She replied to Pit and then pointed him in the right direction.

Kari groaned and looked around as she sat up, rubbing her head in slight pain.

"How did I survive that?" Kari asked and looked around, soon seeing a shadowy figure that looked like Pit. She stood up then started to walk towards him. "Huh, Pit, hey! Sorry about that but I was a little freaked out by... That giant... Three, headed... Dog..." Kari slowed down to a stop as she noticed it was not Pit.

"And who are you?" The boy asked with an annoyed tone. Kari gulped. "Wait, you said Pit... You think I'm that annoying Pit-stain?" He huffed and crossed his arms.

"Well, I did for a moment..." Kari stammered and took a step back.

"Well I'm not Pit. I'm his double, Dark Pit." Kari blinked and took another step back while Dark Pit started to approach her. Once he was close enough he grabbed her chin and stared her in the eyes. "... What would Pit and Palutena want with a human girl like you?" He stated with narrow eyes and a small frown.

"I-I-I dunno." Kari stammered with a small shiver going up her spine. Soon an angry voice was heard.

"PITTOO!!!!" It was Pit. Kari blinked and looked behind her to see the angel rushing at them. Dark Pit growled.

"I told you not to call me that!!" He replied in anger and grabbed Kari and aimed his gun at her head. Kari shivered and Pit skid to a stop. "Now, take a few steps back." Pit growled and took two steps back, still having his guard up. Dark Pit smirked then spread his black wings and flew up, leaving Kari behind as he got away. Pit went to Kari and looked at her, seeing if she was hurt.

"Are you ok, did he hurt you?" He asked and Kari shook her head.

"I'm fine. I'm not hurt, honest." She smiled and Pit sighed in relief. Lady Palutena then took them back to Skyworld. Kari sighed and wandered around since there was not much else to do because Pit was talking with Lady Palutena. Kari frowned and went to the edge of Skyworld to see the earth below. She smiled widely at the beauty below Skyworld's garden. She got on her hands and knees and peered down more, getting too close to the edge.

"Hey Kari wanna-- KARI!" Pit called and startled Kari, sending her over the edge with yelp. Kari screamed and Pit was about to go after when he saw Kari's scarf ends begin to glow and change shape. She then zoomed up and landed back onto Skyworld sitting, still screaming. Pit went to her and calmed her down. "Kari, hey. You're ok. What's up with your scarf?" Kari stopped screaming and blinked then noticed her scarf ends were now wing shapes! They were also swaying slightly like a bird.

"Wha-what just---" Kari stammered and began to shiver. "Did-did I just f-fly?"

"Y-yeah." Pit said calmly and Lady Palutena walked up and sighed lightly, watching the two with a small smile.

"Kari, Pit it's time to eat." She called and the two looked at the goddess of light then nodded then began to walk towards her. "She's almost exactly like her..." Lady Palutena thought then glanced at Kari for a moment before leading the two to go eat. "Yet... At the same time... She's completely different..." The three ate and then Kari went to have some fun while Pit stayed near by in case Kari fell off of Skyworld again, while Palutena watched over the whole world. Palutena soon told Pit to help Kari hone her skills until she could help her.

"Ok," Pit started with an unsure tone. "S-so uh.... Lets see." He scratched the back of his head then hummed. "You did that thing with your scarf when you were in danger of falling to your death... And the same thing happened when you were attacked by Thanatos the first time we went on a mission..." Pit said in a lie tone so only he could hear. He then sighed as he saw a connection in the two events but did not like it. He knew that Kari's known abilities would only appear when she was in danger. This made things a little more difficult. He sighed and decided just to train Kari in hand to hand combat while he and Palutena figured this out at another time.

Hours later and Kari was once again doing her own thing while Pit was out and about, running errands for Palutena while the goddess of light watched over the world.
