~PJ's Pov~

My eyes opened and I looked around, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.
"Right. I fell asleep..." I muttered, groaning.

I checked my phone, seeing a notification.
'I'm going your house tomorrow and we're visiting (y/n)'

That was a text from Undyne from yesterday. Suddenly, I heard a knock on my door.

I ignored it, keeping quiet.
"PJ?" Undyne's voice resonated from the door.

I walked over and opened it.
"Jeez, you look aweful," She noticed, coming inside. I sighed, rubbing my eyes.
"Haven't been able to get much sleep, ya know? And, when I have, I usually pass out from crying," I informed Undyne.

Her eyes widened and she lyt a hand on my shoulder.
"We're seeing (y/n), right now," Undyne demanded, making me nod.
"Alright," I grabbed my girlfriend's brush and painted a portal to Undertale.

Once there, I walked straight over to the rainbow haired girl.

I sudden squeak caught my attention.
"G-good, you're-you're here,"
"What do you mean, 'good we're here'," I asked, holding (y/n)'s hand tightly.
"W-wait here," Alphys rushed upstairs to get something, then came back, holding a mini screen-like object.

I raised an eyebrow, asking what it was.
"I-I made this so th-that we can see w-what (y/n)  is d-doing," She explained. I stood up out of my seat.
"How long does it take to start?" I asked quickly.
"A-about a minute,"

I let out a sigh of relief.

A minute later, the screen turned on and I saw (y/n) and two others, a boy and a girl, hiding in a cave, the boy asleep on her lap and her hand petting his hair. From what I could tell, he was around eleven or so years old.
"We should get some sleep now, huh?" The other girl asked. (Y/n) nodded and grinned.
"One of us should keep watch, though. Ya know, make sure nothing kills us," She said.
"I'll-"
"I'll keep watch first, Natasha. Here, Liam's fast asleep," She cut the other girl, Natasha, off, handing her the tired boy, Liam, to her.
"Be careful. You know that-"
"A death here is a death in the real world. See ya, get some sleep. I'll wake ya in a while," (Y/n) left the cave, a sword and bow becoming formed as she mumbled something under her breath.

"Good - she's not in any danger. Alphys, do you have any other of these?" I asked eagerly.
"S-sadly, no. But, I-I created this app that'll l-let you see w-what's on this s-screen,"

Alphys took my phone, did something on it, then handed it back to me.
"J-just click here," She said, then did the same with Undyne's phone.

I clicked onto the app and saw what (y/n) was doing.

When I saw that she was training, also known as slashing at a tree.

There was suddenly a low, predatory growl, making me alarmed. Apparently, (y/n) heard it too because she stiffed and covered her nose and mouth, entered the cave and woke up Natasha and Liam and pointed to her hand covering her nose and mouth.

They widened their eyes, nodded and did the same. (Y/n) then created a translucent wall, a wall where they could see out, but nothing could see in. She created one more wall and uncovered her mouth, letting out a deep breath, thebothr two copying her.
"Alright, we can talk, but it can't be any louder than a whisper," She said in a hushed voice.
"Right," Natasha whispered.
"(Y/n)," Liam walked over to (y/n) and stood next to her.
"Yeah?" (Y/n) asked him.
"It doesn't sound like a demon," He spoke once henheard the same gutteral growl.

(N/n) looked at him confused as Natasha and Liam locked eyes. Natasha's eyes widened and she ran out.
"It's a Demon-Vampire Hybrid!" She exclaimed, running out with her sword.

Liam and (y/n) followed behind. All of them muttered an incantatation under their breath and a weapon appeared.

Natasha had a scyth, (y/n) brought out dual wielding swords and Liam brouth out a gun. From the looks of things, it had a silencer on it.
"Why'd you run out?!" (Y/n) exclaimed, getting into her fighting stance.

"Because," Natasha put one leg forward and the other back, holding her acuthe as if it was a sword, the handle part so long, it almost touched the ground. "Demon-Vampire Hybrids have the strongest sense of smell and can turn into shadows! Using that tactic to sneak up on someone or something gives them the upper hand!"
"How are we going to find it if it's in shadow form?" (Y/n) asked, tightening her grip on her swords.
"Look at the shadow that's out of place," Natasha whispered and Liam and (y/n) both nodded.

Five seconds later, (y/n) charged at one of the shadows. She stabbed at the shadow on the ground, making it create a hissing-like growl (don't ask, idefk) and move to behind her and become solid.
"Behind you!" Liam warned, charging and slashing at the hybrid.

The hybrid kicked (y/n) in the back, making her hit her head on the tree, when it moved to her side. The impact knocked (y/n) out.

I gritted my teeth, trying not to make any noise.
"(Y/N)!!" Natasha yelled, throwing her scythe like a boomerang.

The scythe stabbed the hybrid and killed it. Not a second to lose, Natasha and Liam ran straight to (y/n). Her eyes opened slowly and she smiled, blood running down her head.
"You're bleeding!" Liam noticed.
"I'm fine. Look," She mumbled something again and a wile of liquid appeared. She drank a sip and glowed, then healed.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
"Shouldn't we go home now?" Undyne asked me, putting a hand on my shoulder. I nodded.
"Right. Thanks Al,"
"N-no p-problem,"

With that, I painted a portal and we went back home, being able to watch (y/n) progress through the mindscape.
