Chapter Three

Opening my eyes, I groaned.
"(Y/n)? Can you hear me?" I heard Natasha's voice ask next to me.
"Huh?" I mumbled underneath my breath, looking at her.
"Thank God you're okay!" Liam shouted, hugging me tightly. I felt something wet on my shoulder and only then did I notice he was crying.
"I'm sorry for almost dying," I apologized. "I need to be more careful,"
"Damn right, you do!" Natasha told me, pointing down at me. With a little bit of an angry face.

(Yes yes ik. FairyTail :3)

"Haha. Yeah, whatever," I got up, wincing a little at the pain in my head.
"You okay?" Liam asked quietly and worriedly.
"I'm fine," I answered him. He nodded, but still looked worried. "Anyway, if this happens when there's just one of those things, imagine what'd happen when we have to fight something like an army!" I exclaimed.
"Right. We should probably set up a training ground or something like that," Natasha announced. "Can you still use your creation magic?"
"Not sure. Let me see," I closed my eyes and put my hand out in front of me, focusing all of my magic onto my hand.

I thought about a phone. Three seconds later, a phone appeared on my hand.
"My creation magic is still usable," I grinned and made two more phones, then gave Liam and Natasha one, keeping the third one for myself. "For communication,"
"Right. We should head out now," Natasha said, grabbing Liam's hand and looking at me. I nodded and we walked to the entrance of the cave, hugging the wall.
"All clear," Liam whispered and we left.

The scenery was kind of nice. Tgere was one pathway surrounded by lots of grass. There was only a small amount of flowers and they were a black, fading out into a navy blue.
"Let's stick around the path, but keep it in view," I said, crouching down and walking to some talk grass I spotted.

The two behind me followed and we heard some rustling from a bush, making us all stop.

I drew my double blades, Liam, his gun, and Natasha, her scythe. We got onto our stances, ready to fight.

After a few seconds, a young girl, around five years old, fell out of the bush onto her stomach, arms outstretched. When her eyes opened, she had tears in her eyes and ran to us. When she did, she clung onto me as of her life depended on it.
"What's wrong?" I asked gently.

All the young child did, was point into the darkness of the bushes. There were just two piercing, red eyes glaring out at us
"M-monster..." She stuttered, whispering and burying her face into my clothes. Her brunette hair falling down her back.

We redies our weapons as the demon came back out and grinned, then charged at us. I picked up the little girl and jumped up as it struck the ground where I had previously stood. A tiny crater was revealed after the smoke had cleared.
"Stay here," I commanded the girl, putting her onto a branch. She clung to the tree tightly and watched the fight progress.

I slashed at the demon and it dodged, but Liam shot a bullet at it and Natasha slashed at it with her scythe. Not being able to dodge them all at once, the demon got hit multiple times. It seemed now that only one more hit and it'd be dead.
"Hey, over here!" Natasha called and nodded at Liam. I caught on to what she was doing.
"No, over here!" I called at the Demon.
"No, here!"

We kept shouting at it and getting it confused, giving Liam enough time to load his gun, lock on and find an opening for a weak spot, then shoot. When he did, the Demon turned into ash and left something behind.
"Hey, what's that?" Liam asked curiously, walking over.
"Before we find out, one second," I walked over to the tree and held my arms out. "Let yourself fall! I'll catch you!"
"Promise?" The girl called down unsurely. I nodded, smiling. She still seemed hesitant, but let herself drop. I caught the child and put her on the ground.
"What's your name?" I asked her.
"I'm Leoni!" She said happily, her golden eyes shining brightly.
"Well, Leoni, I'm (y/n)," I introduced myself. Leoni had a lot trouble pronouncing it. "If you can't say it, call me whatever you want,"
"Um.. Mommy,"
"Huh? Did you just call me-"
"Mommy!"
"Haha! That's right, I'm mommy!" I lifted her up into the air, making her giggle.
"You're good with kids," Natasha noticed.
"I was a kid once, ya know. Also, I visit a universe with kids a lot,"
"Yeah. I know," Natasha laughed, then looked at Leoni. "I'm Natasha, can you say that?"
"Na...Ti, Na...Ta...Shi, Na...Shi, Nashi, Nashi!" Leoni exclaimed happily.
"I'm Liam,"
"Big Brother!"
"I guess you are old enough be her older brother," I teased, ruffling his hair as I walked to the objects lying on the ash. Leoni wore a black, long-sleeved sweater with gray, horizontal lines and a white, frilly skirt.

It appeared to be two pieces of silver and four of gold.
"Why do we need that stuff?" Natasha asked, watching me put it in my bag.
"We may need it later," I answered and looked at Leoni, who smiled up at me. "She's gonna need different clothes,"
"Yeah, a skirt doesn't seem very apropriate for this place," Natasha said. Leoni whined, but didn't argue.
"How about, a black hoodie and black leggings?" I asked Leoni. Her eyes lit up and she nodded eagerly, making me chuckle.

I made her the clothes and she grinned up at me. Now, she would be more camouflaged in the dark.
"We need to move," Natasha stated and we did.

Our surroundings had changed to a forest.
"We need to be careful, it's becoming night and there could be something lurking around every tree," I whispered to everyone.
"Mommy?" Leoni asked quietly and nervously. "I don't like the dark..."
"Leoni, it'll be okay. Mommy's here to protect you," I said gently. She nodded and took my hand.

I led everyone through the forest and we eventually came upon a camp.
"Why is there a camp here?" Liam asked.
"Not sure, but we need to be careful. It could be a camp of Monsters," Natasha answered him.
"Right,"

I made a telescope and peeked through the lens, looking into the tent. Through the little unzipped part of it, I could see a human girl and boy. The boy looked around six, making me pretty sure the woman is his mother.
"It's just a mother and her son," I said, putting the 'scope down and looking everyone. "Human," I added.
"We should probably talk to them,"

Everyone agreed with Liam and we went to the camp.

The woman suddenly stopped and unzipped the tent, then lunged out, pinning me to the ground, arms around my neck.
"MOMMY!"
"(Y/N)!"
