Chapter Seven
~(y/n)'s Pov~
I smile brightly as I introduced Jake to PJ.
"Now tell me how you got here!" I whined to PJ, who laughed and pet my head.
"I'll tell you soon," I puffed my cheeks out, pouting.
"Meanie," I mumbled, pouting. PJ blushed, chuckling lightly.
He then scooped me up into his arms, bridal style, and took me away.
"PJ?! Where are we going?!" I whined, clinging on to my fast moving boyfriend for dear life.
"You'll see,"
We ended up by a small lake, surrounded by beautiful flowers.
"Woah!" I breathed, looking around with stars in my eyes. "This is beautiful!"
"It's where I woke up," PJ told me. I blushed and walked over to him.
Looking him in the eyes, he and I started blushing. I then lightly kissed his lips.
"I'm glad you're here,"
"I wanted to protect you, so I had to come," He told me, brushing a strand of hair behind my ear.
Smiling, I hugged him, putting my head against his chest.
"Hey, (y/n)?"
"Yeah?"
"Wanna tell me about who Leoni is?"
"Um. I saved her, and she started calling me mommy. I guess that means that you're daddy now, huh?" She told, elbowing me gently, smirking. I blushed, my mind thinking... let's just say 'things'. "Let's go back to the camp now, alright?" I nodded and she grabbed my hand, pretty much dragging me back.
When we got back, Leoni was sitting there, waiting with a white, fluffy wolf keeping her warm. She was petting it, smiling happily. From the corner of my eye, I saw (y/n) smiling gently in content.
"Hey, Leoni," She greeted, diverting the five year-old's attention from the wolf, to my girlfriend.
"Mommy!" She exclaimed, running to (y/n). They hugged each other.
Smiling, I watched as the wolf faded into magic particles.
"PJ! Join us!" My cheerful girlfriend called. Leoni grinned.
"C'mon, daddy!"
I was surprised, and my face must've showed that because (y/n) laughed, pulling me into the hug. I grinned, hugging the two girls.
"We're one happy family!" (Y/n) exclaimed happily. I then smiled, nodding.
"Yeah!" I lifted Leoni on my shoulders, making her laugh.
~One month after entering the Mindscape~
~(y/n)'s Pov~
I snuck through some alley ways, trying to find my way back to the camp.
Taking a right, I peaked around the corner, then went left. After that, I went straight, ignoring the demons that were roaming this city.
I remember when we found this place. We were happy to find civilization, but, we knew this wouldn't be human civilization.
~Flashback~
"Mommy! Look! A city!" Leoni shouted, pointing to a large, spiraling building in the distance.
"Civilization!" Jake cheered.
We kept walking, then, before we were visible from the city, I stopped everyone.
"Hold on," I told them.
"What is it?" PJ asked, concerned. I narrowed my eyes and took out my bow. Pointing an arrow through it, I activated the circle that always showed up. It allowed me to zoom in and out by using my magic.
"I knew it," I said, seeing a humanized demon. "Demon city. If we're entering, we have to be cautious and, just so everyone is aware, we're going to be in danger every second that we stay there," I warned everyone. They nodded and we hugged each other.
"We'll look out for each other,"
"Yeah, we'll hell each other out, no matter what. Besides, we might find some people in hiding,"
And we did. A small group of humans had made some shelter in an abandoned underground facility.
"Hello?" I remember myself calling out. I remember getting pinned down.
"Who are you?! Are you a spy?!"
"Gah!" I chocked out.
PJ rushed over straight away and pushed the woman off of me, making her hit the wall. PJ hugged me tightly, kissing my cheek.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks," I then returned my gaze to the woman, easily in her twenties, who was standing up, now having her hand wrapped in fire, the embers flicking around her, as if daring us to come closer to its wielder.
"Who are you, and why are you here?" She asked, glaring at us.
"We're people that got sucked in here. Just like you, I assume," PJ spoke as Al of us nodded.
"Now. Why are you here?" She asked, the fire now consuming her arms.
"We were looking for some shelter and we found this place," I stated calmly, giving off a dangerous aura. She flinched a little, but it was barely noticeable. Narrowing her eyes, I saw her widen her eyes lightly.
"Follow me for second,"
Her sudden change in attitude after looking at me perplexed all of us, but we did as told, making sure to watch each other's backs.
We walked behind this woman as she led us down a long corridor, then we made a few twists and turns, eventually finding a door. She covered the number pad and typed something in. Once the door opened, she beckoned us inside.
She grinned and turned to us, then pointed at five people sitting around small fire, talking and warming themselves up.
I smiled at the sight.
"Hey, I'm back! And I brought survivors!" The woman announces, making everyone turn and look. Another man, around the same age as the woman, widened his eyes when he saw me. He then shook his head and smiled. "Oh! I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Brooklyn Haness! The man over there is Devon Reiston, the two girls over there are Fugax Illinoise and Layla Borough. The two boys over there are Mike Zekken and Jack Allens!" She chirped happily. All of us nodded and greeted each other.
"I'm (y/n) (l/n)! This is PaperJam, or PJ, this is Leoni, this is Jake, this is Natasha and, finally, this is Liam," I introduced us all. They nodded and smiled at us.
"What magic do you all have?" Mike asked us.
"If we show ours, will you show yours?" I asked, to which they nodded. I summoned my weapons. "These were created for me when I entered this world, but I can use my magic which is creation magic, but my brush is still in the Real World,"
"My magic is the same as (y/n)'s, she taught," PJ grinned as he snuck a hand around my waist, making me blush rainbow.
"My magic lets me summon things!" Leoni grinned broadly.
"I have transformation magic, but I prefer to call ot Memory Transformation Magic," Jake announced.
"Me and Liam both have Code Magic," Natasha said.
"Code magic? Isn't that similar to what Error does?" I asked. Liam shook his head.
"No. Error just codes stuff. His magic is his strings. He summons strings, but he codes in his void. We can code anywhere and hack into any living being, then change its coding by using magic. If our magic was different, we would only be able to use coding in a place with a computer,"
Nodding, I said, "Okaaayyy,"
"So, mind telling us what you were doing in the city?" Layla asked us, folding her arms.
~End of Flashback~
And that's how we got to where we are now, recounting our story to them.
After exchanging info, we all ate some food, drank some tea, water, juice, etc.
"Hey, could we join your group?" Jake asked suddenly.
"Um. It's up to Devon and Brooklyn, really," Mike said, shrugging and looking at the two.
"We'll talk about it in a different room," Said Brooklyn, grabbing his hand and walking off into another room. I watched them leave the room in curiosity.
