Chapter Four
I held onto her wrists as she glared down at me.
"Who are you?! Are you here to kill us too?! Well," She tightened her grip, making me cough and choke even more as I grit my teeth. "I won't let you!"
"GET OFF OF MY MOMMY!!" Leoni yelled, pushing her off of me and going to my aid.
"Thank you, Leoni," I rubbed my neck, wincing. 'That's definately gonna leave some marks'
From the side of us, the woman began laughing crazily.
"You really ARE here to kill us!" She laughed maniacally. The woman started to get up, but Natasha pointed her sword at the woman's neck.
"Get down, you crazy fucker," Natasha hissed, glaring down at her.
Like that
The woman put her hands up and sat down, still grinning crazily.
"Ohoho! You wanna savor our fear, THEN kill us, huh?! Hahahah!" She cackled crazily.
"Shut up!" Natasha shouted at her, bringing the sword closer to the woman's neck.
I stood up and looked at the scared boy in the tent.
"You're scaring your son!" I shouted at the crazy woman, then nodded at Natasha and she let her sword down, putting it into her sheath.
"I'm not! I'm keeping him safe from you crazy killers!" She said, so crazily, it sounded as if she was out of breath and trying to rush her speech before the next time she ran out of oxygen.
"Killers?" I asked, ignoring the fact that she just called us crazy.
The woman stood up and I felt Leoni hug my side.
"Mommy," She muttered quietly. I stroked her hair, keeping my eyes locked with the woman's.
"First, we need your name so that we can start talking," Natasha demanded, holding the handle of her sword.
"Fine! I guess you gotta know the name of your next victim!" She ranted.
"The only people we've seen so far is us, Leoni and you two,"
"Yeah, right. Like i believe that," She rolled her eyes. "I'm Marie, this is Jake," Marie pointed at her scared son.
"(Y/n),"
"Natasha,"
"Liam,"
"L-leoni,"
~PJ's Pov~
I was on the phone with Lyra.
"Can you do it?" I asked eagerly. There was some silence, and I could pretty much hear her frown.
"Yes... But it'll be a very painful procedure, PJ. Are you sure you still want to do this?" She told me.
"I don't care! Lyra, just tell me what I need to do, how and when," I told her, determined to go through with my plan.
"Alright," She said, then explained what I needed to do.
After a few minutes, I hung up, thanking her for the help. I opened the app that let me see (y/n) and watched her hold a small girl with short brown hair. I became confused as to who she was.
They all exchanged names, the unfamiliar woman with an attitude.
"We wanted to talk to you to see if you knew anything we didn't know about this place," Natasha explained. Marie and Jake looked at each other and nodded.
"We don't know anything about the world itself, but more so the monsters," Jake said. I nodded and Natasha grinned, looking at me with a look I recognized. The more we know about the monsters, the easier it'll be to kill them.
"We know a lot about this world, but barely anything about the monsters and creatures," Liam told the mother and son. They nodded.
"Who should explain first, then?" I asked, holding Leoni in my lap.
"We will, since the monsters seem like the more important aspect than the world itself," Jake said.
"That's true,"
"Alright, so, when fighting the monsters," Jake began, handing his mother a potion. "We noticed they each have a weak spot. Or a blind spot that you can attack and kill it instantaneously. Some of them have and invisible third eye at the back on the head, but it's extremely weak so you can destroy it. Anyway, every monster has different magic, strength and mind. They have orders like humans, but they speak in their own... 'Language'... Per se," The level of smartness this boy has shocks me immensely. "So, the bigger the monster is, or powerful, the higher it is in its ranks," The mother had now laid down next to him and closed her eyes, listening to our conversation.
"Before you carry on, can I ask you something, Jake?" I asked the six year old boy in front of me. He nodded. "How are you so smart? I don't mean it in a rude way, it's just you're so young,"
"Well," He scratched the nape of his neck. "It's my magic. Illusion magic, or, as some people prefer to call it, transformation magic. I can take the shape of any form, even that of my younger self, as long as I remember exactly how I look,"
"So.. How old are you?"
"Sixteen - seventeen in a week,"
"So you're around my age. I'm seventeen, eighteen in about two months," I told him. "Why do you want to take the appearance of your younger self, wouldn't it use up your magic?"
"Yeah, ya know what? I'm gonna go back to normal. One sec," There was a puff of smoke and a second later, he looked ten years older.
"You look so familiar, have we met before?" I asked him, my eyes becoming slits. He seemed to start sweating, then sighed in defeat.
"Y-yeah. You most likely don't remember me since we were a few years younger kids, but we were friends," He reminded me. Memories flooded me.
"Oh my God! I remember now! Undertale! And you lived on the surface, went underground in only one of the resets and I helped you escape Error, and we were friends since. I thought you died!" I exclaimed, hugging him tightly. Jake hugged back, smiling brightly.
Once we parted, we grinned.
"Anyway, carry on," I said and we all listened intently.
"Anyway, the bigger the monster, the higher it is in its ranks. Some monsters can give the illusion that they're humans,"
"Waot, seriously?!" Liam exclaimed. Jake nodded.
"How are we supposed to know who's a monster and who isn't?" I asked.
"Easy. Just look at their hair or their hand. They always have red tips and this black marking on their hands," He answered. "That's it. Could you explain about the actual Mindscape now?"
After explaining everything about the world, it was pretty dark out.
"Hey, could we crash here for tonight?" I asked. Jake nodded, smiling.
"Sure,"
