47-Metaphorically Speaking
It's still Tuesday for me hehe so here's another update 😏
༻✦༺
Anakin's POV
"Anakin!" Obi-Wan shouted for my help.
I leaned against the wall and shook my head while I took a bite from the biscuit that Ahsoka gave me when we returned. She said I had a habit of being famished after missions, and she's not wrong, "Nope, I'm not helping." I spoke with my mouth semi-full as Obi-Wan continued holding (y/n) back from attacking Mace. I honestly think he should let her so what she wants, Mace deserves it, especially after the condition we found Cal in.. that poor child.
He's in the medical bay right now and Ahsoka is currently by his side, so at least he's not alone while we're in here. And I'm sure Ahsoka's going to stay there until he's finally released. Which shouldn't be more than a few days, they gave him all the nutrients he was lacking, and his wounds were bandaged and medicated before they reached infection. He's mostly there just to be monitored now, he was a strong kid.
And the connection him and (y/n) shared was something I truly admired. I believe if he chooses to stay in the order after this, it'll be specifically for her, that kid would follow her into hell if he could; metaphorically speaking.
"He could have died!" My fiancé shouted in a rage as she fought against Obi-Wan's hold, he looked like he was finally about to give up from the exhaustion.
"Want one?" I held the extra biscuit I had down to Yoda who was standing next to me; casually watching the events take place just as I was.
He nodded immediately and accepted it from my hand, "Hungry I am. Long day it has been."
"You two are the worst!"
My future father-in-law and I both took a bite at the same time while continuing to watch the entertaining events unfold.
(y/n)'s POV
I growled in annoyance as Kenobi pulled me closer to him so I wouldn't rip Mace a new asshole, "Let go of me Obi-Wan or Satine won't have a single thing to play with on your next visit." I mumbled my threat so only he could hear me.
His eyes widened and he immediately released his hold, "Anakin do you have anymore?" He walked towards Anakin nonchalantly to save his manhood.
Smart choice Obi-Wan, smart choice.
I turned my head to glare angrily at Mace who was eyeing me like I was insane, "You have too much anger you-"
I raised my hand and sealed his mouth shut, "I don't want to hear your shit." I stepped closer to him while he began to breathe heavily through his nose. A few of the council members shifted uncomfortably in their seats due to my frowned upon actions, "Throwing me to slavers is something I can get over, it's me and I can handle my own just fine. But Cal? He's a fucking kid Windu." I released my hold so he could now open his mouth, but I instantly used my raised hand to slap him across his face.
Shocked gasps echoed in the room, except for a single 'nice' coming from Anakin. Mace turned his head to look at me in surprise, but also deep anger, "How dare-"
I slapped him again, but harder, "I have every right to be angry without any repercussions," I snapped, "My padawan is in a hospital bed after being tortured because of you, you're lucky a few slaps is all I gave you." I spoke through gritted teeth. I was doing my absolute best to remain in control, I can't exactly snap his neck in front of the council, even though that's exactly what I would like to do, "You know, he thought you gave him that necklace because you actually liked him? He thought you were being nice, but it turns out you were being a deceiving snake." I went to slap him again, but this time he caught my wrist and squeezed it painfully.
I gave him no reaction to the pain and continued staring him down. He held no guilt in his eyes for what happened to Cal. The other council members who were involved do, they all even apologized the second I stepped into the door. That doesn't mean I forgive them, but at least they knew what they did was wrong. Which is why I decided to ignore them and focus all my rage on Windu, because unlike them, he held no responsibility. He believes what he did was right, since all the slaves are now free and Cal was still alive.
"Let go of her or I'll break your hand." Anakin spoke up from next to me. I turned my gaze to my right to see his angered expression, I didn't even hear him get closer.
Windu's narrowed eyes shifted between Anakin and I, before finally letting me go, "From now on," I rubbed my wrist that was slightly red from his grip, "The only orders or assignments that Cal and I will be accepting, have to come from Master Yoda or Master Kenobi directly." I dropped my hand down as I eyed the council with a disappointed glare, "I understand that not all of you were involved and that some of you are even remorseful. But that doesn't change how I feel; I no longer have trust in this council."
I didn't allow anyone else to say anything, and that's because I didn't care what they had to say. I turned on my heels and left the room with Anakin following behind me.
I took a deep breath as soon as I reached the hallways to help calm myself down. I plan to go see if Cal is awake yet, and I didn't want him to feel any negative energy right now, "Yoda is motioning to have Windu removed from the council." My fiancé broke our silence as we walked together side by side towards the medical bay.
I nodded slowly without looking up at him, "I hope he is removed, but that still doesn't feel like it's enough," I sighed while my eyes began to water at the memory of finding Cal, bloody and weak, "He's lucky Cal is alive, or I probably would've killed him."
"I know," Anakin placed his hand on my shoulder for comfort. Usually his touch had a calming affect on me, but lately it hasn't been working like it used to. There are just some things even he can't fix, "And I would have helped you hide the body." He joked to lighten my mood.
I was still upset, but I couldn't help the smile that broke free. I glanced up to meet his eyes that were already focused on me, "I don't know how you do, but you still manage to make me smile in the worst situations."
He shrugged with a smile of his own as he dropped his hand down as we turned a corner towards Cal's room, "I just do my best to keep you happy Princess."
I glanced down the empty hallways to make sure no one was looking, before grabbing his arm to halt his movements. He furrowed his brows at my actions, "Well you're doing a wonderful job," I got on my toes to quickly kiss him on the lips. I felt him smiling as he cupped my face and kissed me back.

"Another one?" Cal chuckled as a droid walked in and set another gift near his bed side, "I didn't realize I was so popular." He smiled narcissistically. I laughed with an eye roll, it was nice to see him feeling better.
Ahsoka grabbed the present for him and her eyes narrowed when she read who it was from, "It says it's from the Council." She held it out to Cal whose entire happy demeanor fell in less than a second. He took it from her grasp and threw it aggressively towards the wall where we heard a crash from inside of it.
Ahsoka and Anakin eyed him with solemn expression, knowing Cal was still hurt from practically being betrayed by people he thought he could trust.
I on the other hand, felt angry. Not at him or his actions, but angry that they took this kid; a good kid who was always happy, optimistic, and filled with love, and cracked his whole spirit.
It's going to take a fucking miracle for Cal or I to forgive any of them.
Ahsoka placed a hand on his shoulder and his expression softened, but not as much as she probably hoped it would, "The audacity they have to send me anything." He mumbled as he laid his head back on his pillow and closed his eyes.
I stepped up to his bed side and placed my hand in his. His eyes opened quickly and met mine, now his emotions softened completely, "Nothing like that will ever happen to you again, I promise." I squeezed his hand.
There was a time where I never wanted a Padawan, but now that I have him, I grew a forbidden attachment. I now see why Master Yoda reacts the way he does when it comes to me, if he loves me even a fraction of how much I love this kid, then I completely understand his feelings.
He smiled and gave me a nod, "Nothing like that will ever happen to either of us again." He squeezed my hand back.
Ahsoka sighed from the other side of the bed, "Why don't we ever have moments like this Skyguy?" She glanced up at him and I held in a laugh when I released my hold on Cal.
He shrugged nonchalantly and I could already tell but the smirk growing on his features, that he was going to say something mean, "Because you're annoying Snips." Her jaw dropped and she attempted to punch him on the arm. He laughed and maneuvered his way away from her hit.
Little do they know, they do have moments such as this. It's just expressed differently within their bickering and playful fights. I know Anakin would do the same for her as I would for Cal. We both have come so far when it comes to our Padawans. We went from trying to ship them away in packages to becoming inseparable.
Ahsoka huffed as she crossed her arms, "I guess since I'm so annoying, I won't give you the present I got for you while you were away."
Anakin's expression dropped and he looked regretful, "You got me a present?"
She shrugged with a smirk that mirrored his own, "Not anymore." She spoke in a teasing voice as she began to leave the room.
"Wait Ahsoka I'm sorry!"He quickly followed behind her eagerly, "Tell me what it is!"
I shook my head at them with a laugh before giving my attention back to Cal, "So, how are you feeling?" I called a chair to scoot up behind me and took a seat by his bed.
He sat up a little to get more comfortable, "I'm fine Master, I'd much rather talk about something happy and exciting, like how you're getting married in three days." He nudged my shoulder with a smile and my eyes widened, I had completely forgotten that it was in three days.
Anakin's POV
Ahsoka turned around and held up a hand to stop me the second we were out of ear shot from Cal's room, "Of course I'm gonna give it to you Skyguy." She rolled her eyes playfully before pulling something out of her pocket and holding it out to me, "I just didn't want to hand it to you in front of (y/n)."
I furrowed my brows as I took it from her palm, "A USB drive?" I twisted it around in my fingers to get a better look at it, "Why are you giving me this?" I asked confusedly; turning my gaze back to meet hers for an explanation.
"That," She pointed to it with a proud smile on her features, "Has everything that is currently on the Chancellors computer." She revealed and my eyes widened with shock, but also excitement.
No wonder she didn't put up a fight when I told her she had to stay here, she had a devious plan of her own. I shot her a proud grin, "This is amazing snips, no one saw you thought right?" I questioned with worry; I love that she did this for me, but I don't want her safety to be at risk for this. We still don't know the whole truth, or what we may be dealing with.
She crossed her arms over her chest with a cocky smirk, "Nope, I was practically invisible."
"Good, do you know what's in this?" I asked as I glanced down the hallways to see if anyone could be possibly eavesdropping. When I saw no one, I placed the drive securely in my pocket.
She shook her head, "No, I just downloaded everything quickly and gout out, I wasn't sure how long the meeting was going to last. So I'm not really sure if there's anything of value."
I placed a hand on her shoulder with a grateful smile, "Thank you, I know you're trusting me blindly and I appreciate it more than you know."
She nodded with a smile of her own, "I'll always trust your judgement Master."
"See snips," I gripped her shoulder and pulled her into a side hug; which she returned by wrapping her arm around my back to hug me back, "We have moments too."

Don't worry, the Mace Windu drama isn't over just yet. 😉 I just couldn't have her beat his ass or kill him.. in front of the entire council, that's not very realistic IMO.
