45-Betrayal

TW: Blood

Anakin's POV
I told Obi-Wan that I would remain calm.

Well.. I didn't.

"Anakin, no!" My former Master held onto me while I tried to lunge at Mace with rage in my eyes. I had every intention of ripping him in half. How dare he; how fucking dare he put (y/n) and Cal in harms way for the sake of information.

I struggled against Obi-Wan's grip while some of the council members eyed my actions with disappointment. Mostly because half of them knew about this horrible plan already, and agreed that it was a good idea. The other half claims they didn't know about the plan, probably because Mace knew they wouldn't agree, which included; Plo Koon, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Kit Fisto, and Aayla Secura, who had replaced Shaak Ti's seat. Not to mention Obi-Wan and Yoda. Speaking of Yoda; he isn't here either, he was gone by the time we got here.

"What the hell is the matter with you people?" I shouted and my voice echoed in the room. I can't think of a single time where I've been this enraged before. Now I have to go after them and get them out of whatever horrible situation they were thrown in.

Mace stood up from his chair with an expression that showed he was irritated with me, "You need to calm down Skywalker," He spoke to me in a threatening tone, which only made me fight against Obi-Wan even more, "This has been a well thought out plan. I gave Padawan Kestis a tracker, so as soon as (y/l/n) and him are moved to the location with the other slaves, we will follow and release them all. They will both be returned home soon."

I pushed Obi-Wan off of me and stepped towards Mace with a slightly more calm demeanor, but I was still shaking from trying to control my anger, "Well thought out?" I laughed humorlessly, "You placed my best friend and a child in the hands of slavers." I shook my head in disbelief, of course he wouldn't understand the gravity of the situation. He doesn't know what being a slave is like, what horrible things slavers will do to exhibit dominance, "You have no idea the kind of tortures that could be happening to them right now. You could have at least told her about your plan so they would be prepared, but you let them walk into a trap."

Why didn't they just trust her to get the information herself? Why did they have to hand them over like this?

It felt like a betrayal.

He raised a brow, "Best friend?" He scoffed with an eye roll, "I thought you two hated each other."

The fact that that's all he got from what I said, truly shows you the kind of emotionless bastard he is.

I stepped closer to him with a menacing glare, "No, you I hate." I growled through gritted teeth, before shooting my glance around the room at the other leering Jedi, "Is this seriously the Jedi way? Using your friends, people who trust you, as fucking bait?"

I could tell my words caused a few of them to feel guilty, but of course, that didn't include the one who was standing in front of me.

"It was for the greater good, we are now about to learn the location of the missing Togru-"

I raised my fist and aimed it right for him, but to my annoyance, Obi-Wan used the force to stop me. I know he was only doing it because of the amount of trouble I would get in if I really did hit him, but it seriously ticked me off, "Enough," He growled as he waved two fingers and I was pushed a few feet away from Mace with the force, "Mace, what you did was wrong," Obi-Wan scolded him with a stern tone, " You should have never gone over the heads of me or Grandmaster Yoda with this."

Mace groaned, "You wouldn't have agree-"

"For good reason!" My former Master snapped while he cut him off, causing a few surprised gasps to fill the room, mine included, it was strange not seeing him be so.. calm. He sighed heavily as he composed himself after his short outburst, "This will be dealt with by Grandmaster Yoda himself when we return." He turned around and walked towards me, "Let's go."

(y/n)'s POV
All I could hear in this dark, small room was the sound of dripping echoing in my ears.

I hung, chained to a wall while I watched as each red drop hit a small puddle that was formed at my feet. I kept my eyes on it, so I could count each drop to occupy my mind from what was really happening.

The puddle was my own blood. It's not as bad as it sounds, I've dealt with worse. I may only have a few bruises, a busted lip, and a broken nose; hence the blood. But I didn't feel much pain, the drugs in my veins were still present, making everything around me fuzzy and disoriented.

"I hate disobedience." The man with a baton like object that rested on his shoulder walked towards me, stepping in my puddle.

He placed the baton under my chin and lifted my gaze to look at him. I smiled weakly, "And I hate the smell of your god awful breath, you know toothbrushes are a thing right?"

He eyes widened with anger as he pulled the baton from under my chin and lifted it above his head, ready to strike me. I closed my eyes and waited for the impact, only for it to never come. All I heard was the sound of a body hitting the floor and then, a wonderful voice, "Have to provoke him did you?"

I smiled and opened my eyes when I knew exactly who it was, "Well someone had to tell him," I slowly lifted my gaze to see Master Yoda standing in the doorway with his cane resting under his palms. The man who was responsible for my conditioning was laying unconscious on the floor, "And your timing is excellent as always Dad, although I would have preferred ten minutes ago before my nose was broken." I teased as I always did in situations like this, it makes me feel a little better.

He shook his head with a sigh as he waved his hand. The chains that were wrapped around my wrists released me, and I dropped onto the floor with a pained groan, "Alright are you?" He asked with concern. I dizzily looked up to see him already standing in front of me with his claws raised towards my face.

"I'll be better when we get Cal." I had to stay strong for him, I refuse to rest until I have him back.

He nodded in understanding as his claws touched my nose gently, "First, hold still you must. Practicing healing, I have been."

Before I had a chance to respond. My brows furrowed as I watched a small yellow light appear from his hand. Suddenly, the pain on my nose intensified, but only for a moment, then it dissipated.

I brought my hand up in surprise, to feel that my nose was no longer broken. I smiled at him in wonder, "Thank you."

He smiled back with a proud nod, "Learned for you I did."

"Now is not the time to make me cry." I stood up and pushed away the sweet emotions his kind words gave me, "I need to find my Padawan."

"Skywalker and Kenobi are on their way to him." He informed me, which only confused me.

"What do you mean, he's not here?" I asked with panic in my voice, where could they have taken him?

He shook his head with a sigh, "No, gone with the other slaves he is. Felt you here I did, but Cal, I did not."

My eyes widened with worry, "But how are they supposed to know where he is the? I wasn't able to find out anythin-"

He held his hand up to stop me from speaking, he held a somber look in his eyes which made me nervous, "Much to tell you, I have."

Anakin's POV
Ryloth.

We should have known. It was a disgusting planet, not to mention it's covered in sand, which I hate.

"Are you sure Master Yoda has (y/n)?" I asked as we followed the tracking device that we know was placed on Cal.

We stood on top of a cliff and looked down as we watched a line of slaves be lead into a building that was built into another cliff. My first thought is that they're probably using them for some kind of mining.

He nodded as he laid on the floor and placed a pair of binoculars over his eyes. How he can just lay there in the sand is beyond me, it's going to get all over him and he's going to drag it everywhere. He better dust himself off before getting back on my ship, "Yes Anakin, you're not the only person who cares for her you know. He left as soon as he found out the truth, they may even already be on their way here."

I tapped my foot on the ground impatiently, "How do they know where we are?"

He brought the binoculars down and turned to look up at me, "(y/n) has a tracker planted on your ship."

I stopped my tapping and my eyes widened with realization, "So that's how she always found me when I'd get in trouble on missions." And she had the galls to tell me that it was because she could, and I quote, 'smell the stupidity from across the galaxy'.

I chuckled at the sound of her voice in my head, force I love that woman. Even when she was being an ass back then, I always loved her. And it's nice to know that she cared enough about me to do something like that, even though she pretended that she didn't.

He lightly laughed as he shook his head and looked forward; placing the binoculars back over his eyes, "You two were always pure entertainment. And I also just found Cal," He responded proudly as he stood up and held the binoculars towards me.

I pushed them away, "I don't need those to see him Obi-Wan." I gestured downwards to the line of slaves while giving him a bored look, "He's literally the only ginger, he sticks out like a sore thumb."

Obi-Wan furrowed his brows as he looked down and saw the one little fire-haired person that looked out of place, "Oh," He tossed the binoculars away with a sigh, "I don't like you when you're a smart ass."

"It's a shame that he's a smart ass about ninety percent of the time then." I heard a familiar voice form behind me that instantly made me smile. I spun around to see my fiancé walking  towards us with Master Yoda slowly following next to her, "Try to keep up old man." She teased him and he glared up at her, but I could see a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

I quickly rushed over to her and pulled her into a tight hug. A breathed out a sigh of relief as soon as I held her in my arms, "I'm so happy you're okay."

She hugged me back as she leaned her head in the crook of my neck, "Me too, but no celebrating until I have my Padawan." She pulled away from the embrace and looked around me curiously, "Where's Ahsoka?" She asked when her eyes met mine again.

"The temple," She wasn't very happy with my demand, but I was afraid of the conditions (y/n) or Cal would be in and I wanted to protect her from that. "I didn't want her here."

She nodded in understanding, "I don't want Cal here either, we need to get him out safely." She moved away from me and looked down the cliff, "So what's the plan?" She asked without taking her eyes off of the metal door that just closed and locked the slaves inside. The place looked to be heavily guarded. We didn't expect it to be like this, which is why we came alone, but back up is already on its way.

I stood next to her and put her hand in mine to help
calm her anxiety that I could feel she had over the situation, "First; we wait for the 501st and the 419th."
