2-Princess
I laid there in bed, staring up at the ceiling.
Plotting a murder.
The incessant banging has yet to stop, it's been going on for about an hour. It probably wouldn't be too bad, if the wall where my bed is against, wasn't the same wall that was being hit. So of course, it's causing my headboard to rattle, "That's it." I threw my blanket off of me and jumped out of bed. I marched next door and banged on his door, "Open up you pretentious ass!" I shouted. People in the hallways were giving out chuckles as they passed.
His door slid open, revealing his shirtless self. He was dripping with sweat, his hair was clinging to his forward and he looked down at me like I was an annoying inconvenience, "What?" He asked harshly as he leaned in his doorway, taking a sip of the water he had in his hand.
I sighed heavily, "Must you do that right now? I'm trying to sleep." I snapped through gritted teeth.
He smiled a smug grin, "Oh I'm sorry, does the little Princess need her beauty sleep?" He responded in a sarcastic tone.
I rolled my eyes, "Don't call me that." I folded my arms across my chest as I let out an irritated sigh.
He tilted his head to the side, still holding his annoying grin, "Why not? You used to love it."
Flashback (Age: You-7 Anakin-9)
"What's your name?" I walked over and sat criss-cross in front of a little blonde boy. I've noticed him here for the past few days. He was always alone and he always looked so sad.
He looked up to me with surprise, like he didn't expect anyone to come and talk to him, "I'm Anakin." He responded in a shy tone, his blue eyes quickly looked away from me in a nervous manner.
I smiled at him and held out my hand, "That's a nice name Anakin, I'm (y/n)."
He looked back up to me and I saw him almost smile. He reached his hand over and grasped it in mine, "Nice to meet you (y/n). You're training to be a Jedi too?" He asked as he tilted his head, his eyes scanning my face curiously.
I giggled as I looked down to my obvious Jedi clothing, "Of course I am, what else would I be?" I grabbed onto my tunic to show him what I was wearing, in case he just didn't notice.
He finally smiled, it was a beautiful smile, "You're just too pretty to be a Jedi, being a princess would suit you better." He blushed and looked down away from my gaze.
I smiled brightly, flattered by his compliment, "You think so?"
He looked back up to me, cheeks still red, "Definitely."
My eyes darted down to our hands that were still connected, he eyed it too. But neither of us let go.
Flashback ends
I looked away from him and sighed, "Key words Skywalker, 'used to.' Now shut up so I can sleep, or I'll scar up your other eye." I snapped and turned to walk back to my room.
"You know, you never apologized for that."
I turned to face him, "And I never will." I smiled and walked back into my room to finally get sleep.
~*~•~*~
I woke up to an annoying tapping sound. My first instinct was to blame Skywalker, but I quickly realized that that's not the direction the tapping was coming from. I sat up in my bed and scanned my room, there was nothing I could see that would be the cause.
I stepped out of bed quietly and followed the sound, which led to my bathroom. I turned the light on and saw that my sink was slightly on, the water droplets were tapping along the metal of the drain. I grabbed the faucet and turned it off, how I left it on and never noticed till now, was strange. But then again, my mind was occupied earlier by a certain obnoxious Jedi.
I walked back to bed and tried to fall asleep again, but then the tapping came back. I shot up and looked towards my dark bathroom, my heart was beating rapidly as I scanned the darkness. I felt something now, something I didn't feel before. I reached over slowly to grab my lightsaber that I had left on my night stand. But to my horror, it wasn't there. My eyes darted to the stand to find it empty, I know I left it right here. I looked back to the bathroom and screamed when I was startled by red eyes, glaring back at me.
Suddenly, my door slid open and Anakin rushed in with his lightsaber in hand, "What happened?" He asked with urgency. I looked to him then back to the bathroom. But to my shock, there was nothing there. Did I actually see anything; was I dreaming and didn't realize it?
I shook my head when I looked to him, "I thought I saw something." I turned my gaze back to the bathroom, which he noticed. He walked over to it and turned my light on.
He looked around for a moment and I saw him pick something up off the sink,"There's nothing here." He sighed as he turned the light back off. My eyes were fixed on what he held in his hand, "You're suppose to keep this on your stand." He rolled his eyes and placed my lightsaber next to me. I eyed it confused, I know I didn't leave it in there. In fact, I was just in there less than five minutes ago and it wasn't there.
I shook my head, I must be more tired than I thought, "You can get out. I'm not some damsel in distress who needs you." I waved my hand so my door opened again.
He snorted through his nose and turned to leave, "Just keep it down Princess, I'm trying to sleep." He mocked me from earlier and left the room. But not before I flipped him the bird, which earned me an amused chuckle from him.
The first thing I did when he left, was stand up and close my bathroom door. Wether it was a dream or not, I was still feeling incredibly unsettled.
~*~•~*~
"Focused you are not." Master Yoda scolded me. I was breathing heavily, we had been sparring for almost two hours. This was my punishment for running off yesterday. I may not be his padawan anymore, but he's made it very clear that he will never stop being my Master. He was kind of like the father I never had. He's the one who found me and brought me here when I was two, well at least that's what he told me.
I sighed as I retracted the blade, "I'm sorry Master, I had a hard time sleeping last night." I admitted, I kept nothing from him. He's even the only one who knows why I have such a distaste for pirates. But that wasn't really my choice, he's the one who found me that day.
"Mm wish to talk about it do you?" He questioned as he also retracted his blade and placed it in his robe.
I shook my head, "There's not much to talk about. I thought I saw something that wasn't really there and it just left me feeling uneasy." I sighed heavily as I sat on the floor with my legs laid out in front of me, I used my hands to balance myself behind me.
He eyed me curiously, "Tell me." He instructed.
"I saw-"
"Master Yoda and (y/n) how funny it is to see you here." Obi-Wan walked into the room, and to my annoyance, Anakin was right behind him. He held a scowl when he saw me.
I rolled my eyes, this is definitely another attempt to get us near each other. They swear that we're too stupid to notice.
"Ah yes funny it is." Master Yoda responded and he smiled. Anakin snorted, catching on just as I have.
Obi-Wan looked to me with a grin, "Too tired; or would you like to spar with Anakin?"
I shook my head as I jumped up to leave the room, "Nope I'm good."
"Pussy."
I stopped immediately. I turned to the source of the voice, "What did you just call me?" I questioned in disbelief.
Anakin smirked, "Nothing Princess."
Oh I know what he called me, "Get your lightsaber ready." I demanded as I stepped back onto the mat.
Obi-Wan and Yoda were watching us in amusement, "Five credits on mine." Obi-Wan wagered. Yoda nodded in agreement with his bet. They have the right idea.
Anakin stood on the mat in-front of me, his weapon already in his hand, "Before we start, let's make this interesting." I smirked, this is my chance.
He eyed me curiously, "What are you suggesting?" He swung his lightsaber in a circle causing the blue light to dance in the air.
"If I win, you put that damn punching bag somewhere where it doesn't hit my wall." I bargained.
He nodded in agreement, "Fair, but if I win, I want you to tell me the real reason you came to my rescue yesterday."
I paused for a moment, now I'm rethinking this whole thing.
He noticed my hesitation and smirked, "Does someone not believe in herself?"
I sighed, I just need to make sure I win, "Of course I do." I spoke confidently as I got into my stance. As if to catch me off guard, he advanced towards me. I parried all of his attacks, my purple blade clashed roughly against his blue one.
"Did you get your beauty sleep?" He mocked as our lightsabers were held over out heads, the blades seared together. His forehead was dripping sweat due to the heat of the blades being so close.
I chuckled, "Yes I did," I eyed him up on down, "But it appears you didn't." I teased causing him to roll his eyes. We stood there like we were in a draw, our eyes burning into each other with so much loathing.
"Back." Master Yoda instructed and Anakin and I broke away and stepped away from each other, "Again."
We went back into it. I was doing twists and turns as I did my best to deflect his shot, I was working on the defensive side. Hoping he would tire himself out and make a mistake, thus sealing my inevitable victory.
But of course, he knew thats what I was doing. He knew me too well.
He brought his lightsaber up near my head, where I caught it with mine. He took this opportunity of us being close and hooked his leg behind my knee, pulling it harshly so I dropped down to the floor. He kicked my lightsaber away from me and held his to my neck, "I win." He smirked.
I glared up at him angrily, what a cheap shot that was, "That'll be five credits Master Yoda." I heard Obi-Wan speak up with a cheerful tone.
I called my lightsaber to my hand and stood up, but instead of staying, I left quickly.
I could hear Anakin rushing behind me, "Hey a deal is a deal." He snapped as he stopped in front of my path.
I let out a heavy sight, "Deal is off." I pushed past him but he grabbed my arm to spin me around.
"No, you know damn well that if you won, I would have kept my word, now you need to."
I sighed again, he's right, "Follow me." I instructed him and he looked at me confused, but followed as I made my way to my room. I waved the door open and gestured for him to come inside.
He was a little reluctant, "You're not going murder me are you?"
I chuckled, "No, of course not," I smiled and he entered the room, "Well at least not today." I added when I closed the door behind us and flicked the light on, "Don't ever tell anyone what I'm about to tell you."
He turned to face me, "I won't, just get on with it."
"I didn't go for you, I went because of the pirates, the one I recognized on the hologram to be exact." I revealed.
He looked at me confused, "What; do you have like a pirate fetish or something?"
I exhaled through my nose in annoyance, "No you idiot. Do you remember five years ago when I disappeared for a month?" I hope he did but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't, we weren't even on speaking terms.
He looked away from me and to the floor for a moment, before looking back up to me, "Yes."
"Well it was my very first mission on my own, I was undercover among the pirates," I began to take off my shirt and he looked at me like I had three heads, "Relax, I'm just showing you something," I rolled my eyes as I pulled it over my head. I was still in a training bra so there wasn't much he could see, "They found out who I was, someone betrayed me." I admitted when I spun around and showed him my back. It was covered in scars, "I was tortured for two days before Master Yoda came to find me. Then I spent three weeks in recovery, but everyone thought I was just on an assignment. I didn't want anyone to know what really happened." I placed my shirt back over my head and turned around to face him, "That pirate on the hologram, he was one of them." So I ran away on a vengeance high. Even though it wasn't the Jedi way, I didn't care.
He looked at me with an expression I couldn't read, like he didn't know what to say. Finally after a few moments he spoke, "I thought only morons get caught by pirates?"
I shook my head, "I wasn't caught,I was handed over. There's a difference between that and just being plain careless." Like thats really the thing that matters right now. But of course he doesn't care, he only ever cares about himself. He's made that very clear. I waved my hand to open my door, "There, I kept my word, now you can go." I walked away toward my bathroom but he came over and gripped my wrist.
I looked up at him annoyed, but my expression relaxed when I saw his calm face. He didn't say anything to me at first. He just eyed my face curiously, like the day we first met, "Was there any other reason?" He asked and I was surprise by his question, what other reason would there even be?
I blinked a few times before speaking, "Um no." I shrugged.
"Okay then," He let go of my wrist and his cocky demeanor returned, "See you later Princess." He turned around and left the room.
