Exchange 

Brian drove all the way to a lake to meet his boss and do the exchange.

He takes her out of the trunk of the car and lays her on the cold, hard ground. She is still tied up.

Her eyes flutter open. She didn't even realize she fell asleep in the trunk. She is so exhausted she doesn't even remember the ride.

The sound of a car's motor running jolts her fully awake.

Suddenly, a figure comes in to her view. "Did anyone see you?" He asks.

"No." Brian replies simply.

"Good." His boss says as he walks closer to Faith. She shakes with fear.

"I've missed you, Faith." He says as he kneels down next to her. "Did you miss me?"

Faith shakes her head slightly.

"ANSWER ME!" He shouts, kicking her in the ribs.

Faith's memories of her torture just over two years ago all flash before her eyes, overlapping each other to create her own personal horror movie.

But it's not a movie. It's her life.

Tears flood to Faith's eyes as she stares at Brian.

She loved him. She thought he was good. She thought he was the one who was going to support her for the rest of her life. He seemed to love her despite all of her problems.

She now sees that she was wrong about him.

Brian's face is plastered with guilt. He only did this because his family was threatened.

When Calum escaped his mental hospital where he was serving three life sentences, he stalked Faith for weeks.

He learned her daily schedule. He learned where she lived, worked, and where all of her friends live and work.

He followed her boyfriend and when it was time, he approached him.

Calum threatened to kill everyone he loved, including Faith, if he did not deliver her to this very location on this night.

Brian, loving his family and Faith, agreed. He knows her father is a retired police officer and he would be able to help.

Brian did not think this through at all. He never meant to kidnap Faith and hand her over to a psychopath who is obsessed with her. He only meant to protect his family.

Calum lifts Faith and drags her to the car, propping her up so she can see everything going on.

"You did well, Brian." Calum holds his hand out for Brian to shake.

Calum latches on to Brian's hand, keeping him close. He then reaches in to his pocket and grabs his gun. He lifts it to Brian's head and pulls the trigger.

Brian's body collapses next to Faith's legs.

She screams and cries under the tape. Despite his recent actions, Faith does love Brian. He made her happy. She never wanted to see him dead, even if he did kidnap her.

He stares at her with his motionless eyes. Faith folds herself over, falling on to the ground and smashing her head in to the dirt.

Calum kneels beside her and sighs. "He knew too much. I couldn't let him live."He says, picking her up and pulling her in for a hug. "Besides, did you really want a boyfriend who would do this kind of a thing to you? He's a monster! I took care of the problem for you."

Faith wishes the tape was off of her mouth so she could tell him who the real monster is. Out of the three of them, Calum is definitely the worst. In Faith's eyes at least.

In Calum's, Brian was a huge problem he could only solve by eliminating him from the picture completely.

Calum lifts faith and throws her in to the trunk of his stolen car. He smiles before slamming it shut and drives away.

He has big plans for her.
