Change of plans, I'm going to drag out this story a little longer. It's just going to be happy scenes from now on yay:) ~aurum autumn
The rest of the days, we tour Sydney more and eat and shop a lot. Mayumi takes me shopping in the shopping centres while the guys just stay home and talk or something. I don't know what they did.
I call Haruto every night to let him know I'm okay and everything. My parents trust Haruto to look after me.
Yuki called me too, to ask me to go to Shinjuku with her to shop, but I told her I was in Australia. Somehow, I find myself liking Yuki more the closer I get to her. She appears annoying when you first meet her, but she's just hyper. It's her.
On the last day, Tora takes a look around the house and sighs. "Uh, we should probably clean up."
I want to ask where his servants are, because I thought they'd be here, but he answers my question before I can ask. "The servants are in Japan only, so we should start."
We jump to our feet and look around. The house is okay. It's just a little messier. And some plates and cups we used aren't washed.
Maki takes charge. He's cool when he does that. "Tora, you clean up the kitchen. (Y/N), you do the living room and dining room if you can. Mayumi and I will do the second level."
Mayumi grins at me and follows Maki upstairs like an obedient dog.
I wet a cloth and start wiping the table in the dining room immediately. I notice Tora hanging around still, though, which kind of irritates me. I turn around and glare at him, waving my cloth around. "Go and clean."
Tora's face reddens slightly and he bites his lip. "Uh-"
Then I realise what the problem is. He doesn't know how to clean. He's probably never done it before.
I put my cloth down and march him to the kitchen. Then I point out how to put the soap on the sponge and clean the dishes and wipe them dry.
Tora nods, looking the most embarrassed I've ever seen him. I leave him and continue cleaning the other rooms. Seriously though, he got the easiest job, washing dishes and throwing out some of the food in the fridge.
I still can't believe he doesn't know how to do housework! What the heck? Seems like he isn't so perfect after all. I wonder if he can even cook.
I sweep up the floor and mop it as well, all in two hours. By the time I'm done, Tora is done washing the dishes.
He calls me over. "Don't tell them," he warns.
I laugh. "Maki doesn't know?"
Tora shrugs. "Some things I don't tell him."
"Fine."

I know it's stupid, but every time I leave a country I say goodbye to everything. As I stare out of the plane window at Sydney, I think of all the places we visited and all the fun we had. I can see other planes taking off. Soon we'll leave too. I quietly say goodbye to everything.
Mayumi's eyes are closed and she's muttering to herself , probably saying goodbye too. To any other person though it looks like she's meditating.
----
Soon, we land in Japan. I feel the normal air pressure in my ears before my ears pop. Wow. Everything feels so loud suddenly.
I grab my carry-on bag and leave the plane. When I get past the administration stuff, I see some familiar people by the baggage claim.
I start running towards them immediately, excited to see if it's really my family. My actual family.
It is.
My parents hug me tightly. "You're all grown up now!" They exclaim in English. Living in America for so long has changed them too.
"How long are you staying?" I ask the normal question.
My mother's eyes brighten with tears. "Oh, honey, we're staying forever. Our business in America is over. We can stay in Japan with you now."
Haruto is standing at the side, proudly looking at me. I run to hug him too.
"Besides, our son's getting married to the lovely girl. We have to be here," my father adds.
By this time, Maki, Mayumi and Tora have reached us. They say polite hellos to my parents. I see them watching Tora. Haruto may have told them about Tora and me.
I'm too busy talking with my parents about our trip to notice my luggage. Then I feel a nudge and Tora pushes my luggage to me gently. "Here."
"Thanks," I reply and continue talking. I hear him sigh in exasperation.
Mayumi's talking too. She's known my family forever.
Finally, we head home. My parents just can't stop talking about how grown up we all are now. I feel slightly annoyed when I think of them never being here for me as I was in Miyabigaoka and all, but since they're here, I'll just forget it. At least my parents are still living. At that thought, I glance at Tora, he's politely chatting to Haruto now.
He seems the perfect gentleman, though. I know my dad was impressed at his manners. I just hope they'll accept him. For the time being, anyway. I don't know what will happen to us in the future, but I want to treasure every moment with him and with my family and friends while it lasts.
