I screamed as loud as my lungs would let me. My insides felt like they were on fire. Those insides now wanted to be my outsides...

Suddenly the shock stopped.

The searing pain ceased and I was out of breath.

"What's wrong with me..."

Aphmau whispered and dropped the remote. She ran over and slid on her knees so she could look in my eyes.

"Garroth?! Oh no...what have I done?!" She whispered to herself as she started taking off the handcuffs and wires that held me to the chair. I fell out and into her arms.

"Oh no..." She slung one of my arms over her body and held my stomach, "I'm taking you somewhere. But please be quiet..." I managed to nod my head as she slid open the door.

A P H M A U

I glanced from side to side checking the hallways.

All clear.

I let Garroth slide to the ground as I let go of him gently. I grabbed the bow I had equipped and set an arrow on its quiver.

(I think that's the right terminology)

I quietly shot each camera, breaking them before they could see me. I then slipped Garroths arm over my shoulders again and made my way down the hallway.

I kept our backs to the wall as I heard voices around the corner, they faded and I ran as fast as I could to my bedroom. I finally arrived safely and locked the door, after setting Garroth on my bed.

I removed his shirt and looked at his wounds.

Their worst then I thought....what came over me?!

I walked into my bathroom and took a first aid kit. I started to treat his burns cause by me. As I started to apply the medication, I warm hand grabbed my wrist. I looked to see Garroth gritting his teeth as he struggled to restrain my wrist.

"Garroth let me help!"

"N-no...I des-erve this f-for what i-i did to yo-u"

"Garroth don't be ridiculous!"

"P-please...let me suffer"

"Garroth! I don't give a d**** about what you "deserve" I am healing you!"

"A-Aphmau..."

I clenched my jaw and balled my fists on my lap.

"Garroth....I'm so sorry, it was like someone took over me, all I could see was evil and think evil thoughts, I don't know what happened but....I don't think it was me controlling my mind and actions...when you left I was heartbroken but...I think that left me vulnerable to something, I don't know what but..."

"Shhh" he gingerly placed a soft hand on my leg, "j-just-"

"Aphmau? I'm back from the mission an-"

"Not right now Laurence, I need to be alone...I'll talk to you later"

"Yeah but-"

"Laurence, please"

"But Gar-"

"Laurence"

"Fine, I'll leave. But if you're not out of your room in two hours I'm coming in"

"Ok..."

I heard Laurences steady footsteps become faint as they grew further away. I held Garroths hand and inhaled slowly.

"I can't keep you here..."

I opened a chest that was under my bed and pulled out some potions. I read the small label that hung off the neck of the slender vile.

Potion of invisibility: 10:00 minutes

"This is as good as its gonna get..." I mumbled.

Thankfully the potion was a splash potion, I used it on Garroth and I and we left without anyone noticing. I ran into the thick forest and found the small cabin I had been searching for.

The cabin was inside of a tree so it was really like a tree that was hollowed out to be a home.

I knocked and waited impatiently for an answer.

"Aphmau?"

Her blond hair was tucked neatly behind her long pointed ears and a sweet green hat rested on top of her head. She wore brown shorts and a simple green top. Her blue eyes held curiosity and concern, I could understand why. I only come here ever so often when I'm in desperate need of help.

"Zoey-"

"Who's this?!" She gasped while helping me with Garroth. We carried him inside and layed him on one of the beds that scattered throughout the elves home.

"His name is Garroth"

"This is gonna be interesting..."

"What?"
