The statements made in SoT aren't only sad. Some of them are truly inspiring and could give you power. That's the topic for this section, enjoy!

"If I'd only see black and white, I'd turn crazy. Being positive doesn't necessarily mean that things turn out to be fine... I think it rather means that YOU will be fine, no matter how things turn out to be."

I think this one is inspiring mostly because it tells you that, even if everything goes wrong, you can handle it. You can deal with it, and you will be okay. Never give up, even if it all falls apart, but keep going. There isn't only good and bad in things, not only black and white... but in everything that happens, there's something good, even if it appears to be bad.

"The most important thing is that we've proven ourselves. Not to others... but to ourselves. Trying to prove that you're the best sometimes is an insult."

I suppose this quote gave Chris a lot of personality right there. He claims that it isn't important to show others what you can do, but rather that you show it to yourself. Because if you know what you're capable of and how strong you are, it doesn't matter what others think about it or how strong they are as long as you have confidence in yourself and your abilities. Because if you try demonstrating that you're better than everyone around you, you might depict yourself as arrogant and insult and degrade others who harness their own strength.

"I can't affort to show fear towards my rivals. I respect every opponent, but I fear none."

It may seem like a quote of no depth at all, but that is actually not the case because it can be used metaphorical. This basically says that you should never be afraid of the challenges that you come across in life. You should not diminish them, but you should not fear them either. Challenges come and go in life, and regardless if how hard they turn out to be, never be afraid.

"You can only think in a positive way when you detach yourself from negativity."

That's right. No matter what happens in your life, if you keep looking at the bad things only, you can never be happy. But when you start looking for the good, the positive things, even if there appear to be none, you can actually handle everything. When you keep to degrade and speak ill of everything, you end up being outright down. Look for the good, not the bad.

Before we move on to number one, here are some honorable mentions of quotes that are inspiring, but not on my favorites list:

- "Don't give up. The beginning is always the hardest, so let's keep going 'til the bitter end. And it won't end here. When you're thinking of giving up, try to think of the reason why you held on so long... and when you can't control what's happening, challenge yourself in trying to control how you respond to what's happening."

Mari basically tells you that there's no reason for you to give up at any point. If you try finding a purpose or a reason for everything you do, there's no need of abandoning it. And even if it isn't quite going as planned, you still have the power to turn things for the greater in your favor if you try hard enough.

- "Everyone can give up. It'd the easiest thing in the world to do. But holding it together when everyone else would expect you'd fall apart, that's true strength. Because it doesn't come from the things you can do, but from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't. You know, dounts can kill more dreams that failure ever could. When you fail, you try again. When you doubt, you wouldn't even try at all."

Here, Laslow reminds you that growth isn't only temporary. You grow with the battles you fight and the choices you make. And the rougher it gets, the harder it will be to win but if you end up victorious, you definitely come out stronger than before. So don't run away from your battles, don't doubt your capabilities- find a way to deal with them and don't be discouraged by a throwback. Some things just don't work out the very first time. But keep trying to find out what you can't do, until you find a way how to do it.

Probably one of Laslow's nost memorable quotes of all. It means to never give up without having tried. Because if you never tried, you'll never know if you're capable to succeed.
