We're back with another mixed list. Here, we'll be talking about cute character relationships that are NOT based on love in form of... you know. Love. Like family relations or intimate friendships. Anyhow, let's get started.

#5 Mari and Jacky

Now this rela isn't basically cute, but it is worth being mentioned because of how far they are ready to go. Mari was always the one of both who kept Jacky walk forward and encourage her, while Jacky even went far enough to fight down a whole monastery to save Mari. In LT Arc, Jacky even refuses to leave Mari's side as they are facing down their enemy. The two of them sometimes even share a bed if the other isn't feeling so well (Jacky did so after Jayden turned into Kirai and she was troubled by the fact they had to pretend to be enemies and Mari did so after Jacky and Laslow's break-up).

#4 Lucian and Jairo

Lucian and Jairo's relationship is based upon true friendship. Lucian is known to do a lot for Jairo, like bringing him something to drink when he's too scared to go outside his room or allowing him to sit on his shoulders just to feel taller. Jairo visibly enjoys this and it's very cute to see how often he laughs when being with Lucian. It's also sweet how much Lucian worried about Jairo when he was afflicted with the curse. The two of them always stick together as if they're inseparable. Jairo is also ready to defend Lucian anytime, like when he tried to aid Lucian when he was circled by the Amuso and therefore almost got hurt himself.

#3 Laslow and Zeke

Taji and Zeke didn't spend so much "on-screen time" together, but althemore did the latter spend time with Laslow. It's seen how much Laslow actually looks after him, carries him on his shoulders or comes to comfort him if he doesn't feel well. Laslow also showed Zeke the bioluminescence in Alola to remind him of his home region, Galar. Laslow is just the perfect big bro that makes Zeke happy.

#2 Lucian and Taen

I never saw Lucian as happy as how he was after he managed to save Taen. And honestly, they are cute together, even tho Taen does not intend so. The two even have their own way of communication (sign language). It's also very noticable how Taen turns to Lucian every time he doesn't understand something. Lucian is ready to pick up a fight with everyone if they wrong his cousin (like he did with Makoto who uttered he did not trust Taen at all and that he'd never forgive him). Taen on the other hand can become quite ugly when someone intends to bother Lucian, like when he beat up the dude trying to attack Lucian with a knife.

#1 Makoto and Jairo

Oh dear. Makoto grew pretty attached to Jairo and the other way around. Makoto even becomes Jairo's legal guardian since the younger one has nobody left. Jairo is the only one (except for Leira) allowed to hug him and even sleep in his bed. Makoto would never decline favors from Jairo, while Jairo is doing his best to help Makoto and make him happy. Makoto allows him to sit on his lap when he is nervous and encourages him everytime. When Jairo is crying, he will be the first one that comes running to comfort him (if he is present) and returns a smile to Jairo's face. They're just ♡. Sorry.
