After a long week of lessons, Phoebe was glad when the weekend came around. At the moment, she was sitting in the great hall with Neville and the golden trio, eating breakfast. None of them spoke, all too preoccupied with their food, however the peace was broken all at once.

Hundreds of owls came soaring into the room, squeaking and squawking and basically just being as loud as possible. At first Phoebe was kind of startled, but she quickly got over it and went back to her food, not really expecting anything.

So when her owl landed in front of her with a lumpy envelope in it's beak, she was caught off guard. She gently took the letter from the bird, not wanting it to attack her (again), and let it steal some of her food as she opened it.

She unfolded the paper inside and saw why it was so distorted - there were tons of biro pens in it. Phoebe smiled and pulled out the piece of paper that was next to them.

Every inch of the paper was filed with messy scrawls, from Annabeth's elegant calligraphy to Leo's barely legible scribbles.

Phoebe,

I hope all is going well at your new school, I won't write much, because I have a feeling your friends will need all the room they can get to fit in what they want to say. Thank you for keeping me updated and remember; we're ready to send in more people as soon as you need it. That's all I shall say for now. Try and get closer to harry and his friends, they will be essential. Other than that stay safe,

Chiron.

Pheebs,

I miss you so much! You need to come back for Christmas or I'll DIE. Anyway, you're friends sound cool, tell Ron I thank him for being supportive of your lifestyle. If you get real done with people staring at you for no reason, give them a reason to stare. I find the best way to do this is to wear a big hat (the uglier the better) and scream while waving your hands around. But seriously if anyone gives you any shit sorry, I mean trouble, just IM me and I'll sort them out for you, I think politely persuading them to do the macarena naked should do the job, no?

See you soon, lots of love,

Piper xx

Piper - Phoebe's favourite sister. She knew you weren't supposed to have favourite siblings, but she couldn't help it. Before Piper arrived the cabin was stuck in a dictatorship with Drew Tanaka as it's leader - it was horrible. No one was brave enough to speak against her and no one had the power to challenge her. That didn't stop Phoebe trying, but all she got out of it was being put on toilet and bin cleaning duty for ever. She tried to get a rise from her siblings to overthrow Drew, but they were all too enamoured with her or too scared to go against her, other than Lacy and Mitchell, but that just got the three of them in even more trouble. So, essentially, Piper had been their saviour.

Phoebe,

Your owl gave all the hunters a right scare when it landed on my tent. It must be really smart to have found us, but then again Athena's symbol is an owl so I guess it's only to be expected. I heard about your quest and wanted to wish you luck, if you need me I am sure I could convince lady Artemis to let us hunters come and help, and if not all of us, I might be able to get her to let me go, at least. Also, if any boys mess with you I'll be over in a flash (get it?) to zap them.

Don't get blown up by an angry witch or wizard,

Thalia.

Phoebe first met Thalia just after she had been awoken from her 'slumber' and had found the girl extremely terrifying at first. Then she got to know her a bit better, and now Thalia was one of her closest friends - she had grown to love her scary make-up and gothic clothes and threatening glares. When Thalia became a hunter she had spent ages trying to get Phoebe to join as well, but she just didn't think she could. Eternal youth and travelling the world sounded amazing, but she was a daughter of Aphrodite and despite the fact that she tried to distance herself from stereotypes, she still wanted to fall in love and experience everything that came with it.

Annabeth's letter was a great contrast from everyone else's, their were no words of encouragement and love, instead there were claims of hatred and threats of bodily harm.

Dear Phoebe,

I hate you. I hate you very much. I could happily stab you right now and feel no remorse. STOP BRAGGING ABOUT YOUR AMAZING CASTLE YOU MOLDY PEANUT!! Even thought I hate you right now, I still want all the details of your lessons and a detailed map of the castle, include pictures if you can. Also, do you think you could ask someone why they don't include basic subjects like math and science there, because I'd say those are fairly important for 11-year-olds to learn, but who am I to argue with wizards, I guess.

Don't worry about the whole using owls as a means of transport, by the way, I know you were worried I'd be offended, but actually it just goes to show how smart they are. Though I'll admit I'm confused as to how they travel such far distances in such little time - you're owl didn't even seem that tired! I'll have to check that when I get there (because I will be coming, I'm not missing out on this opportunity).

Write back soon, I need details,

Annabeth x

Phoebe smiled, of course Annabeth would want to know all about school. She may be the toughest girl around, but she was a complete nerd, and everyone loved her for it - most of the time.

Percy's note was next; it was the only one written in blue ink so it wasn't hard to identify.

Phoebe,

Do you think it would be possible to send some of that food over here, I need a good feast after this horrible diet of carrot sticks and organic everything. But don't tell the nymphs that, they'll force feed me locally grown cucumbers if they find out I dissed their healthy lifestyle - I'm just not cut out for it. I need a burger!!

Sorry about that, I'm desperate.

The lake sounds super cool, do you know if there are any mythical creatures in it? I'd like to come over and see for myself, I wonder if there's anything I haven't seen before. Maybe dad knows. I'll ask him some time.

See you soon (maybe) and get me food,

from Percy.

Leo's letter, however, was by far Phoebe's favourite. Phoebe knew from the first line that it was going to be good.

My dearest Glamour Girl,

I assure you that you are not alone in your grief, I miss you. I miss your silky, flowing hair and how it shines a million shades of mud. I miss your sparkling eyes, so full of life, and how they flicker from the colour of the sky at the end of May or early June, to the darkest pits of the ocean - where all of my hopes and dreams have gone to rest. I miss your smile and how it brightens the room you're in, even when you have cabbage stuck in your teeth. But most of all, I miss annoying the heck out of you.

Don't worry about swimming that far for me, I know you'd collapse 100 metres in, if anyone says anything to me I'll dedicate my life to irritating them until they move across the country and change their name to Miguel. This is an actual goal of mine, so far I haven't had the chance to complete it, though I believe Reyna was close to that point, if only I had more time.

Sounds like your life is going terribly without me, but that's only to be expected, I am Leo Freaking Valdez after all. Don't worry I'll force Chiron to let me come when you call for help, because I know you will, and when I show up we can have a dramatic reunion in which I run into your arms and you pick me up and spin me around - it will be movie worthy.

You might want to cut down on the food though, Phoebes, I noticed you were getting a little pudgy before you left. I didn't want to say anything, but it seems your poor dieting choices are getting worse, don't worry I'll be there to fix you up soon.

Try not to be too much of a lonely, boring, miserable person while I'm not with you,

Love Leo - the most amazing friend you're ever going to be blessed with.

Leo Valdez was undoubtedly Phoebe's best friend, from the moment they met, they just clicked. When he wasn't pronouncing his undying love for her, he was insulting her. Most people couldn't tell if they were together or if they hated each other, and that was the way they liked it. Sometimes they acted extra lovey-dovey or extra offensive towards the other just to see the confusion on people's faces. He was probably where she got all of her dramatic tendencies from.

Along with the insults and fake flirting, their friendship consisted of friendly banter, witty comments and inside jokes, but there was also the trust that only came with going through so much together. They were always there for each other, through the good and bad, which is what most people didn't realise about them, they assumed that their friendship was based only on jokes and smiles, they didn't know how dependant Phoebe and Leo were of each other.

Neville must have noticed her smiling because he said, "Let me guess, Leo?"

Phoebe looked up, Neville's question had got the attention of the others, who watched their exchange.

She nodded, "And Piper, and Thalia, and Annabeth, and Percy, and... Mr Brunner."

At first Neville didn't get it, but then he realised. "Thalia? How did she reply?"

Phoebe shrugged. "Copper somehow found her, I'm not sure why, maybe he knew Thalia would want to write."

"Can I read it?" Neville gestured to the letter.

"Yeah sure." Phoebe handing him the sheet of paper with all of their messages on.

She watched to see Neville's reaction as he read. Almost immediately he started smiling, his smile then turned into a grin and he laughed as he handed it back to her.

"Only Leo."

"Well, he is the-" Phoebe glanced at the letter quickly "-most amazing friend I'm ever going to be blessed with." She grinned.

"Who are Leo and Annabelle and all the other people you mentioned?" Ron asked.

Phoebe looked at Neville, holding in a laugh, "Annabeth, you mean. Her and the others all go to my old school."

"How does Neville know them then?" Hermione piped up.

"They also went to the same summer camp we did." Neville supplied.

Phoebe liked the trio, she really did, but they were so inquisitive and she hated having to lie all the time. The three of them together were too smart and Phoebe wasn't confident that her lies would hold up for too long. It was easier when Neville and Draco were around, but they wouldn't always be there to stop her from slipping up.

"Oi! Miss America, we're here to take you away for your grand tour!"

Please tell me what you think of the letters! Did I portray the demigods well enough? Also, time for some twin bonding in the next chapter.
