Chapter 16

Third Person POV

Unbeknownst to Ming and Kit, their fathers had a history with each other that went way way back when Ming was only seven years old and Kit was only a year old.

Both fathers had made a pact, in fact a signed contract, notarized and all, that the exchange of sons was going to be kept strictly confidential and was going to accompany them both to their graves.

Violation of the contract by either party would result in serious litigation by the offended party.

Flashback to twenty seven years ago when Ming's mother was not yet married to her current husband. She was a very pretty university librarian who caught the eye of the scion of the Intochar business magnate.

They had to date secretly because the Intochar aristocracy was never going to approve a relationship of the Intochar heir with a lowly university librarian who was three years older than him to boot.

Their secret meetings resulted in the pregnancy of the pretty librarian.

While she was in the early stages of her pregnancy, when it was not yet noticeable, she had met Mr. Daichapanya who had instantly fallen in love with her and proposed marriage to her after a whirlwind courtship.

Mr. Daichapanya never questioned the "premature" arrival of the baby nor did he ever doubt its paternity.

Six years later, Mr. Daichapanya was hired by a large corporation to be one of its accountants. The corporation was owned by the father of Mr. Intochar's current wife, the former Miss Diana Kreepolrerk.

When Mr. Daichapanya was hired by the Kreepolrerk Corporation, Diana Kreepolrerk had not yet met her current husband Mr. Pirapat Intochar.

Mr. Daichapanya's stunning good looks immediately caught the attention of all the female employees but especially Diana.

Diana always found a reason to pay a visit to Mr. Daichapanya's office.

Because he was a married man, Mr. Daichapanya tried to avoid the constant advances of the heiress to the Kreepolrerk Corporation but he had to be very careful not to offend her by blatantly rejecting her.

If he had not been a married man who was very much in love with his wife, he probably would have been attracted to Diana. She was a very pretty petite young lady with scintillating eyes whose cute dimples appeared each time she smiled.

Mr. Daichapanya had thought wrongly that he would forever be able to avoid Diana.

He was working late one evening, trying to balance the figures of the company's books when the door of his office opened and in stepped Diana in a very seductive black dress.

Just a one night stand, a night when she was at the peak of her fertile period, brought about the start of the existence of Kit.

Diana Kreepolrerk was in tears when her father announced to her that he and his business buddy, the owner of the Intochar conglomerate, had arranged her marriage with the Intochar scion, Pirapat Intochar. Their marriage would merge both businesses into one of the largest in the country.

She was too afraid to disclose to her father that she might have gotten pregnant from a one night affair with one of their accountants. She knew that this was the best time to get married to the Intochar scion just in case she indeed got pregnant.

When Pirapat Intochar and Diana Kreepolrerk were introduced to each other, Pirapat was more than happy to marry her, seeing as how she was such a cute young thing with the prettiest eyes and a pair of dimples that melted him each time she smiled. Her father was a very rich man to boot.

The wedding ceremony was attended by Thailand's cream of the crop of society.

The wedding photos were all over the front pages of every single newspaper and magazine in the country.

When Diana gave birth to a healthy baby boy exactly nine months after her wedding, it was another event that made it to the society pages of the newspapers and magazines.

The boy grew up to be a spitting image of his mother. He got her eyes and lips and her very cute dimples.

Pirapat Intochar was never suspicious of his wife's intermittent disappearance. He always believed her when she said that she wanted to go shopping, bringing the baby with her.

Mr. Daichapanya on the other hand, was starting to notice how his wife would disappear for long hours with their son and was always inconsistent with her reasons for going out of the house.

One day he decided to follow her surreptitiously, making sure to keep a safe distance from her and their son, or at least that was what he thought, that Mingkwan was his biological son.

He followed her to one of the lesser known secluded parks with a small man made lake.

Mr. Daichapanya thought that his wife was just going to spend the day in the park with their son and was going to turn around and go back home.

He stopped dead in his tracks when a black Mercedes with tinted windows parked at the curb, its door being opened by someone from inside the car, and his wife and his son climbed into the car.
