Chapter Thirty Two

A/N: Eleanor looking at Louis like he was her whole world.

Anyway, we are going to have a lot of time skips starting this chapter.

Eleanor

By the end of September, Louis have gone to and back from Australia for their scheduled concert there. He looked so happy as he engulfed me in a bone-crushing hug as soon as he saw me in the airpory. He always looked so drunk in enthusiasm whenever he came back from their shows -- seeing lots of fans who were always behind them, supporting them in everything they do, making him feel so loved.

I, on the other hand, was the lucky one who always get to witness that.

"I missed you," he mumbled, face buried on my hair.

"It was only two weeks, Lou," I responded despite missing him myself.

"Two weeks is so damn long without you," he whined making me flush.

I heard someone uttering 'sap' in between fake-coughs behind him making me smile.

His head snapped quickly towards that direction to glare whoever that was, "What was that, Liam?"

"Noth-"

"Nothing. Just what I thought," he spat, his eyes narrowing into slits making me erupt into giggles. Louis then turned to me and gasped, "Did you just-"

"No!" I denied although I had no clue what he was about to say.

"Harry!" he cried out and ran towards a still sleepy Harry who just got out of the plane, with Niall trailing behind him. Louis, apparently had no care of his mate's groggy state as he continued to cry out, "Eleanor and Liam are teaming up on me! Help!"

"Hmm," Harry rubbed his heavy-lidded eyes before realizing Louis was talking to him, "What?" he asked in a thick voice.

"My girlfriend's loyalty is no longer to me. How cruel has this life become?" Louis dramatically wiped a fake tear.

"My loyalty is always to you, Lou," Harry said in a tone that obviously shows he had no idea what was happening.

"First of all, Harry, that was my line," I told Harry but his eyes were barely open; he was still half-asleep. I shrugged before turning to Louis, "And second, I'm still not your girlfriend. Not yet, atleast." I raised a brow at him, remembering his words about dating needs an actual date.

So yeah, maybe I was asking for a date.

Louis groaned, "Can we skip that part already?"

"I was up for it before but no, 'we wont be dating if we dont go on an actual date, wont we?'" I said, mocking him.

The four other boys laughed.

"Fine," Louis shot back, "Besides, you're going to be my girlfriend soon, anyway."

"We'll see about that, Tommo," I smirked.

"Uh guys, you might wanna go now before those approaching fans reach us. We don't want them swarming our sleepy Harry right here," Niall pointed to the fastly approaching group of girls while struggling to keep Harry from planting his face on the floor.

"I think," Zayn spoke up for the first time, "That we should make a run for it now."

"Oh my gosh! One Direction!" we heard screams getting louder at a distance.

"As in now!" Zayn yelled.

And we took off, running.

**

The next day, I woke up to the smell of coffee coming from the kitchen. I was confused at first so I tiptoed towards the source of smell to see who the culprit was. Once I got a glimpse of his shirtless back and a pair of pajamas hanging low on his hips, only then did I remember Louis slept over at mine after he drove here, following my own driving, straight from the airport. I admire the view of his back; his shoulders flexing while he prepared what I assumed was my coffee and probably his tea, and the sight of his messy quiff -- the sight of him inside my house just looked so right.

My heart fluttered and I started smiling without me noticing.

I faked a yawn to announce my arrival.

"Good morning, my sleeping beauty," he greeted, throwing a smile to me over his shoulders.

"Morning, Lou." I greeted back as I sat on the counter.

He placed the coffee on the counter infront of me and leaned in to press a kiss on my cheek.

"Thanks."

"For the coffee or for the kiss?" he asked, his lips hovering his own cup of tea to blow on it and cool it off.

I smiled making him smile back, "Both."

"So, babe," Louis spoke, the babe word making me feel warm inside, "Where do you want to go for the date?"

I stared at him grinning like a fool, not really hearing what he said.

"El?"

I snapped out of my thoughts, "Uh, what was that?"

He smirked knowingly, "I know I look good and all that, but I was asking you something, love."

I blushed knowing it was true, "Ugh, Louis."

"What?" he chuckled.

"Stop teasing."

He chuckled, "I was asking where do you want to go. You know, for the date," he wiggled his eyebrows.

"Anywhere, really. As long as-"

He cut in, "-As long as you're with me. How sweet."

I rolled my eyes, "As long as I come home in one piece."

"Oh shut it. You know I won't let anything happen to you," he smiled, stroking my hair.

"Unless you do something yourself."

He winked, "Truth."

I gaped at him, "Oh my gosh, stop!"

He bursted out laughing, "I didn't even say anything!"

I pouted which resulted to his kissing the pout away.

"But seriously, where do you want to go today?" he asked sweetly.

"We're going today?" I asked in excitement.

He nodded.

"How about we go to," I trailed off, trying to think of a place.

Apparently I was taking so long, because Louis started suggesting places to go and things to do.

"We can go ziplining! That's fun! Or we can go to an amusement park, or if you want we can go to a beach- or maybe we can fly to Paris and climb the Eiffel Tower and go to a fancy restaurant after-"

"How about we go get ice cream?!" I squealed, not really listening to his rambling.

"Ice cream?" he questioned in a monotone voice.

"Uh-huh."

"I was rambling about flying to Paris and having a fancy restaurant date and here you are wanting an ice cream?"

"I changed my mind; I want ice pops."

"Ice pops," he repeated in disbelief.

"Yup," I said, "And maybe a walk in the park."

He looked at me incredulously, "You," he paused to sigh, "Are something else, Calder."

I smiled smugly, "I know."

"How about we go get ice pops and then go to Primrose Hill for a walk?"

"But that's like, four hours away!"

"Then let's buy some take outs and go for a road trip," he said with finality.

I looked at him while pondering. When I finally thought I was going to have some fun since I would be with him anyway, I shrugged, "Fine, but we're using your car."

"Anything for you, love."

**

"We're singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs! With the boom box blaring as we're falling inlove!" I sang.

"El, turn the volume down a bit."

"Got a bottle of whatever but it's getting us drunk!"

"That's coke you're holding, love."

"Singing here's to never growing up!"

"Hey, I like this song."

**

"So we're just going to take a ... walk?" he asked.

I eyed the surroundings, having second thoughts myself. The roadtrip was fun.

"I guess?"

He took my hand and intertwined it with his, "Let's get some ice pops first."

"Great idea."

**

"I'm actually surprised you liked to have something other than Starbucks," he smiled at me.

"Shut up. You make it seem like I'm addicted to it," I rolled my eyes.

He looked at me like I had grown three heads.

"Fine, I am. Judge me."

He laughed before putting an arm on my shoulder, making me duck since we were of the same height, and pressing a kiss on my forehead, "Not judging. Just noting, for future reference."

As we finished both our ice pops, we threw the popsicles in a garbage bin and then he held my hand once again before we continued the walk.

We were silent for a while letting thoughts run inside our heads. I was thinking what this date made us. Did it mean we were officially together already?

I've no clue about these things but I was guessing he has to ask me first.

Why wasn't he asking me though?

I looked at our intertwined fingers; his calloused hand clasped in mine, and then I looked at him only to catch him already looking at me.

He smiled before looking away for a moment as if he was shy, "The things you do to me," he uttered.

That's when I decided it didn't matter as long as we knew we belong to one another.

**

"Hey I just met you, and this is crazy!"

"Ugh, not this song."

"But here's my number, so call me maybe!"

"Turn it off."

"It's hard to look right at you baby- hey! I love that song!" I pouted.

He looked at me before sighing and turning the radio on again, settling his hands on the stirring wheel after, "Fine."

"But here's my number, so call me maybe!"

"Pull your windows up, Eleanor."

**

"I have a favor," he said. It was three weeks after and One Direction was back in UK and didn't have shows for the whole month in preparation for the album that will be released.

I looked up at him.

"Will you listen to this song and tell me what you think?"

"Wait, is this a track in your album?"

"Yup. You're the first one to hear it," he smiled before he added, "Well, and maybe Danielle."

I raised an eyebrow in suspicion but plugged the earphones in anyway before pressing the play button on his phone.

I've never been so into somebody before
And everytime we both touch I only want more

I nodded in approval of his voice. He sounded so good. I figured he forwarded it to his part so I could give him an opinion of his voice.

So tell me nothing's gonna change, yeah
And that you wont ever walk away, yeah
Cause even though every night you know what I'll say
Goodbye

I gaped at him. No, he did not just-

Baby, you don't have to worry
I'll be coming back for you, back for you, back for you, you
Lately, I've been going crazy
So I'm coming back for you, back for you, back for you, you

I jerked the earphones off, "Is this song about..."

"You? Yeah. So how was it?" he shrugged like he did not just tell me he wrote part of a song about me.

"It was great," I replied, wanting to say something more but still stunned by the fact that someone wrote a song about me. Maybe not the whole song but atleast part of it.

"Cool," he smiled, "So wil you be my girlfriend?"

And if the song written about me wasn't enough, he just have to ask that question a the most casual way.

"Sure," I answered.

He plopped down on the couch beside me and pressed a kiss on my nose, "We're the weirdest couple, aren't we?"

"Tell me about it," I giggled.

So on the seventeenth of November, marked the day that Louis ensured me I have nothing to worry about. It was official.

He would always come right back for me.
