7| Nico di Angelo

in which nico talks to his sister(s).

----
Nico did not expect to see a blonde girl holding his unconscious best friend in her arms.

Then again, neither did anyone else.

Percy dropped his pipe with a CLANG, and scowled. "What did you do?"

"Just-- just let me explain." The blonde said, close to tears.

Thalia dropped her phone and the ground and ran to Percy and the blonde, pulling her in and closing the door quietly. "Annie? What happened?"

"Herself happened!" Percy growled, pointing at 'Annie'.

"You're hot." Leo muttered, staring at 'Annie'.

"Shut up Leo." Thalia and Calypso said in unison, Thalia taking Reyna from Annabeth's arms. Reyna had a nasty bruise on her forehead, and her side was gushing out blood. "You too Percy." She added, as Percy opened his mouth to speak.

Thalia turned around, facing everyone else. "Well? Someone helping, or not?"

Nico tried to get up, ignoring the pain, but Kayla pushed back down. "Don't move." She scolded as she went to Reyna's side, and Grover nodded.

The younger boy rolled his eyes. He hated feeling helpless. He wanted to go out and find his significant annoyance, he wanted to be at his best friend's side, and he wanted fo figure out what the actual fucking frick was happening.

He hadn't felt this way since Bianca died. Bianca.. He missed her. He missed her so much, and wanted her to be right next to him, to tell him it was all okay.

But she was gone, and he was tired. Tired of losing people, tired of not being able to do anything, and just tired in general. Nico closed his eyes, blocking out the arguments, and let himself sleep.

"Mi sodaltino." Bianca muttered, stroking Nico's cheek. He hugged his pillow, his dark eyes wide as Bianca talked. She sat on his bed, smiling. "Tomorrow," She said, in a heavy italian accent. "We are finally moving. You're all packed, right?"

Nico nodded eagerly. "I have been since yesserday." The ten year old answered, grinning. "Are you?"

"Almost." She giggled. "I'm not done yet, but don't tell Mamá."

"I won't." He answered, zipping his lips together and throwing away the key. "Never."

"Promise?"

"I promise."

Someone laughed from the doorway. Hades Di Angelo stood there in a sleek black suit, a small smile on his face. "You should be asleep now, kids." He said with a chuckle, no accent detectable, as he was from the world of MURRICAAAAAAAA. [i get bored don't sue]

"We have a long day tomorrow, c'mon, get to bed."

Bianca got up from Nico's bed, giving the smaller boy a wink. Hades held out his hand and Bianca took it, the two leaving the bedroom, letting Nico fall asleep, not knowing the loss he would feel over the next week.

He felt someone take his hand, and for a second he hoped it was Bianca, maybe even Will, and for a second he hoped he was back home in Italy; a ten year old ready to venture out in the unknown.

Nico opened his eyes slowly, seeing Hazel's face look down on his. He felt disapointed for a second, but instantly felt bad. Here he was, complaining over his dead sister and missing boyfriend when Hazel had gone through the same thing, and she wasn't complaining.

Hazel's cheeks were stained with dry tears, and she was taking deep breaths, still trying to calm herself down. "You okay?" She whispered, her voice a bit hoarse from crying and her golden eyes flashing with concern.

"Fine." Nico answered, pushing himself up against the wall. "How about you?"

"It's you we should be worried about," She laughed humorlessly. "I mean, you're the one who was shot twice in the leg."

"But you were having an attack." Nico insisted, squeezing his half-sister's hand.

"I'm fine, Nico, really."

"Good."

A wave of silence passed over the two.

Bianca and Nico held hands, his head on her shoulder. The two were on the earliest plane possible to New York City, their parents sitting on their right. Bianca had the window seat, and she was gazing at the clouds while Nico ranted about how Hades had a better attack strength than Zeus, so Mamá should get him the Hades figurine and edition 1 card for Christmas, which was coming up.

Bianca rolled her eyes, half-listening to her brother's words.

Nico pouted. "Biaaaaaa, why won't you listen to me?"

"I am listening, Nico." Bianca said, although they both knew she wasn't.

"Suuuuuure." Nico replied, unbuckling his seatbelt to lean over Bianca and look out the window.

"Still jealous I got the window seat?"

"Shh."

"You're thinking about her again, aren't you?" Hazel whispered, leaning against the wall next to him.

Nico hesitated. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Neeks, please don't do this, not right now."

Nico didn't say anything, looking up at the screaming and arguments in front of them.

"It's the second time this has happened to you, Nico. To Percy, to Thalia, to that hunter, Zoë." Hazel took a deep breath. "I just want you to know that we're here for you."

The plane lurched forward suddenly, Nico's head slamming into the seat in front of him.

Bianca grabbed his hand to pull him back into his seat, quickly fastening his seatbelt.

"Please remain calm." One of the flight attendants shouted over all the rumbling. "We're only experiencing some slight turbulence right now. It will all be over soon."

After a few more seconds, the turbulence stopped, and the attendant smiled weakly.

Then they crashed.

Love me.
