Nico was hurt, Reyna and the Stolls and Will were missing, Leo had a concussion, Hazel was freaking out, people were dead, and it was all Annabeth's fault.

Percy took a deep breath as he looked around at the scene in front of him. Hazel was in a corner, having a panic attack, and being comforted by Piper and Frank. Nico sat against a wall, grabbing Percy's hand tightly, trying not to scream, as Grover and one of the girls in the Hunters tended to his leg wound.

Juniper was talking quickly to the police on Thalia's phone, as Thalia was one of the only people who could get connection down here. Jason was standing guard at the door, even though there was a small chance that someone would be looking for a trapdoor in a basement. Leo was dazedly trying to flirt with Calypso as she tended to his head, but Calypso wasn't amused, since they were in such a grave position.

Two other girls in the Hunters that had arrived with Thalia and Thalia herself were planning out ways to escape alive.

Where were they, exactly? The school boiler room. Most people didn't know it existed, faculty included. Thalia and Leo had come across it looking for a place to hide after escaping detention. It was small, but it could hide 25 people, if you put them together really tightly. They called it Camp Half-Blood, after an old summer camp where Percy and co. had met. It was basically the Demigods' little hide-out, and now, I guess the Hunters' too.

Anyways, Percy hadn't told anyone else about the note and how Annabeth was too blame, because right now he had more problems to deal with.

For example:

Nico and Will had their last class together, and on the way to the boiler room (where Piper had texted for everyone to meet, and to bE cARefUL!!!, as the text said), they had come across someone who was patrolling a hallway, and Nico had painfully said that it was Ethan Nakamura, a old friend of theirs.

Ethan had spotted the two, and out of panic because they were his friends, had shot Nico in the leg.

Twice.

Will had pushed Nico out of the way before Ethan could shoot again, grabbing the boy's attention and running away, the two leaving Nico alone to limp the rest of the way to the cellar, which thankfully was extremely close. So Will was gone.

Kayla Knowles, Will's half-sister who sat with Thalia, had been among the three Hunters that Thalia had class with and had brought to the boiler room. She thankfully had some healing capabilities like her half-brother, so she and Grover were treating Nico with a first aid-kit they had found in a closet.

Percy could tell that Nico was trying his best not to scream as Kayla applied some healing alcohol, the small boy squeezing Percy's hand so tightly that Percy's fingers were turning purple.

Unfortuneatly, Nico had left a blood trail leading straight to the hallway leading to the basement, but thankfully not to the door itself, as Nico had noticed and used his leather jacket to cover the wound so it would stop the bleeding.

But so far, Nico would survive. But the same couldn't be said for Will.

But hey, where the actual fuck was Reyna?

She was the only one we knew that had Social Studies as her last period, and she had most likely gotten the text from Piper, so where was she?

Was she dead?

Gods, Percy hoped not. And he could tell Thalia did too, but don't tell anyone he said that, shhhhhh.

But seriously. Jason had suggested that he go to find Reyna, but Piper, Jason's girlfriend, had immediatly vetoed that idea. Everyone knew that Reyna used to have a crush on Jason, and Piper probably didn't want to take a risk and have them in a room together.

Plus, it was too dangerous to go out anyways, as who knows how many people where out there, armed and not hesitating to shoot and kill.

The Stolls were also missing, but they weren't that much of preocupation, since Travis had been one of the only one's that had replied to Piper's text:

K.G. was most likely Katie Gardner, and that was good, because the more people safe the better.

Then Leo had arrived with Calypso, the only Hunter that hadn't arrived with Thalia.

Apperantly, the second Leo recieved Piper's text, he brought her behind the teacher's desk and told her about the boiler room, for the sole reason that he loooooved her.

Don't play around, Percy. Be serious!

Calypso didn't believe him at first, thinking the whole thing was something that the Stolls and him had cooked up, but the second someone pointed a gun at them in the hallway, Calypso believed it all.

She explained that the man tried to get Calypso to come with her (for which reason she did not say), Leo jumped in front of her, then the man knocked him out with the back of his gun and Leo hit the desk hard.

Calypso refused to say anything else, and she hadn't spoken to anyone since, except for Leo just to shut him up.

THUD.

Everyone freezed. Jason grabbed the first thing he saw, which was a rusty old pipe, and turned towards the door.

THUD.

THUD.

THUD.

Then suddenly Thalia's phone started ringing.

"Just like fire, burning out the way."

Percy turned towards Juniper, who was trying to decline the call, but the person kept on calling. Whoever was calling Thalia really wanted to get through, but they may have cost everyone their lives.

"If I can light the world up for just one day."

THUD.

Thalia speed walked over to her, taking the phone and declining it, and this time whoever was calling seemed to understand. Everyone was quiet.

Then Leo threw up in his bucket again, Calypso's grip on his hand tightening.

THUD.

At this point, Percy had pushed Jason out of the way, grabbing the rusty pipe out of the blond's hand and raising it.

CREAK.

Then the door opened, revealing a sight Percy wished he could unsee.
