[Y/n] hummed happily as she returned home from school. She was on her lunch break to pick up her little brother.

'I need to get Hinata dressed...' She thought to herself while walking into her bedroom and noticed the little lump in her bed. 

"Oh! Where could Hinata be?" [Y/n] loudly said. "Roar!" Hinata roared while his head popped out. 

"Oh no! It's a dragon!" [Y/n] squealed, and Hinata began to chase her.

"What's with all this fooling around?! Stop wasting time and eat your lunch!" Aunt Youko yelled while barging to the room. 

"S-Sorry, Aunt Youko." [Y/n] muttered and bowed. Youko sighed. "Remember, I'll be the new guardian of a boy that really interests me starting today." Aunt Youko said, and [Y/n] nodded. 

After getting Hinata dressed in a simple orange puppy t-shirt, blue shorts, and tennis shoes, [Y/n] and Hinata ate the lunch Saikawa cooked for them. [Y/n] munched on her carrot stick while deep in thought. 

"[Y/n]-sama...?" Saikawa called, and [Y/n] looked up at him. 

"Nee-tan...?" Hinata said. 

"Hm? I'm fine." [Y/n] said with a smile.

After lunch, she got Hinata dressed. "To Morinomiya Academy!" [Y/n] cheered.

The truth is [Y/n] isn't always this energetic, but she had to stay strong for her little brother and for her grandmother. "Ay!" Hinata cheered. 

[Y/n] looked at her watch. "Oh no! We're going to be late! It's already the end of Usaida's shift." She said as she threw her bag over her shoulder and scooped up Hinata. [Y/n] ran all the way to school.

[Y/n] barely made it to the daycare room on time. She noticed the children gathered around with a teenage boy. [Y/n] slid the door open. "What are you, children, doing? You shouldn't beat up your new friend." She said as she sit her brother down and took off her shoes. 

"[Y/n]-neechama!" The children cheered and ran over to her. [Y/n] smiled and hugged each child. [Y/n] sat on her knees in front of the brown-haired boy.

"Nice to meet you. You must be the new member of the Babysitting Club. I'm Yamamoto [Y/n], and this is my brother, Hinata." [Y/n] said and picked up the blonde boy. 

"Hai!" He cheered. 

Ryuuichi blushed at the pretty girl who was smiling brightly at him. "I-I'm Kashima Ryuuichi, and that's my brother, Kotarou." Ryuuichi said, pointing at the little boy sitting in the corner.

"Hello, Taro-chan!" [Y/n] said and waved at the boy, but he just looked away. It broke her heart. "K-Kotarou?! I-I'm sorry. Don't take it personally he's not that open to new people." Ryuuichi rambled, and [Y/n] smiled. 

"It's okay. So, Usaida-san left?" [Y/n] asked, noticing the pink-haired male wasn't in the room.

"Yes, he just left." Ryuuichi said. [Y/n] had a bright aura around her. "I guess, we'll be working together starting now. I hope you know how to change diapers." [Y/n] said and a foul odor filled the room. 

"EWW!" The children yelled and ran in opposite directions. 

"Midori-chan just pooped." [Y/n] said and handed Midori to Ryuuichi.

[Y/n] stood up and walked over to Kotarou. "Taro-chan, would you like me to read it to you?" [Y/n] asked, but Kotarou shook his head. [Y/n] pouted and noticed Taka climbing on Ryuuichi. Kazuma and Takuma were running around. 

"Taku-chan, Kazu-chan! Please stop running. Taka! Stop climbing on Ryuu. That's dangerous." She scolded and picked up Taka. 

"Neechama!" Taka cheered and hugged [Y/n].

"No! My Neechan!" Hinata whined. 

"No, mine!" Taka said and kissed [Y/n]'s cheek. 

This shattered Hinata. "NO!" Hinata shrieked, and [Y/n] picked him up too. "Hey, wanna eat?" Kirin asked. "H-Hold on, Kiri-chan." [Y/n] said while the two boys fought in her arms. Kazuma and Takuma ran over Kirin's fake dinner. 

This made her sad. "Would you please make the meal for me again, Kiri-chan? I'm super hungry!" [Y/n] said, dramatically then smiled. 

"Yes!" Kirin cheered. 

"Hinata! Taka! No fighting." [Y/n] said while setting them down.

Suddenly, Midori started to cry. Both [Y/n] and Ryuuichi rushed over to her. They looked at each other, and [Y/n] smiled. 

"I got this." She said, and Ryuuichi blushed. 

"There, There. You just wanted cuddles, huh, Mi-chan?" [Y/n] said while rocking Midori in her arms. Ryuuichi admired how beautiful she looked, and how great she was with children. Her [s/c]-colored skin, her bright [e/c] eyes, her long [h/c]-colored hair that came down past her butt. All of it was just beautiful. 

Suddenly, Hinata jumped on Ryuuichi back and pulled his ears. "My Nee-tan!" He yelled. Suddenly, they heard a little sneeze from Kotaro. "Kotaro, are you alright?" Ryuuichi asked, and Kotaro nodded. [Y/n] gave him a worried look. 

"Take that!" Taka yelled and jumped on Ryuuichi's back. 

"Taka-kun! No surprise attack!" Ryuuichi whined, and [Y/n] giggled.

Soon, it was evening. "Good evening!" The parents of the children, aka the teachers, greeted them. 

"Mama!" The children cheered and rushed to their mothers. 

[Y/n] bowed. "Good evening." [Y/n] said. "You've come to pick them up?" Ryuuichi asked. 

"Oh? Who are you?" Kumatsuka-sensei asked. 

"That's Ryuu-chama!" Kirin said. 

"A new member here." [Y/n] added. 

"Um, it's nice to meet you. I'm Kashima Ryuuichi. I'm in the babysitter club starting today. "Oh, I see." Mamizuka-sensei said. 

"The chairwoman mention it to us. It's nice to see that [Y/n] has some help here." Sawatari-sensei said. 

"I'm Kirin's mother, Kumatsuka Yayoi." Kumatsuka-sensei introduced.

"I'm Midori's mother, Sawatari Yukari." Sawatari-sensei introduced. 

"I'm Takuma and Kazuma's mother, Mamizuka Umi!" Mamizuka-sensei said. 

"It's a pleasure to meet you all." Ryuuichi said and bowed, "That's my little brother, Katoro." He continued and pointed at Katoro. "Kotaro, huh?" Sawatari-sensei repeated. 

"Hello, there!" Mamizuka-sensei greeted, but Kotaro didn't respond. "It's nice for them to have a new friend." Kumatsuka-sensei commented with a small smile. 

"I look for to seeing you in the future." Mamizuka-sensei smiled at Ryuuichi. "Yes, same here." Ryuuichi said. 

"Bye-bye!" The children said, and [Y/n] smiled at them. 

"See you tomorrow." [Y/n] said while waving.

Suddenly, there was whining coming from inside the class. [Y/n] looked inside to see Hinata pulling on Katoro. "Hinata!" [Y/n] called and picked him up. 

Hinata threw a fit. "No! No!" He yelled while kicking his feet and throwing his arms around. 

"Hinata! You can't do that. What's gotten into you?" [Y/n] said and moved Hinata away from Kotaro. The daycare's door slid open. "Taka! It's time to go." Was announced. 

"Oh! It's Hayato-kun." [Y/n] said while walking closer to the tall male, "Kamitani-sensei's working late again?" She asked. 

"Yeah. And my club kept me late." Hayato said and noticed Ryuuichi, "Who's that?"

"I-I'm the new helper here, Kashima Ryuuichi. Middle school, third year." Ryuuichi introduced. 

"I'm Kamitani Hayato, same grade. I heard there would be a new transfer student in our class. Would that be you, then? Good to meet you." Hayato said. 

"Th-The pleasure is all mine." Ryuuichi said.

"Nii-chan! I'm not going home!" Taka said while hugging onto Ryuuichi's pants leg. 

"I told you, we're going." Hayato said while glaring at his little brother. "No! No! No! I'm gonna play with Ryu some more!" Taka yelled, and Hayato punched him in the head. "No throwing tantrums." Hayato growled, and Taka cried. 

"Hayato-kun! How many times do I have to tell you; you shouldn't hit him like that!" [Y/n] scolded. 

"Words aren't enough to convince him." Hayato said. 

"Nii-chan, you meanie! Meanie! Meanie!" Taka tried to beat his brother up with his small fists. 

[Y/n] sighed. "I guess, it can't be helped." [Y/n] said, and Hayato picked up his brother. "See you." He said while nodding at [Y/n] and Ryuuichi. [Y/n] waved them goodbye.

Once they were gone, [Y/n] stretched and walked inside the room to clean up. But, she stopped and her eyes widened when she witnessed Kotaro faint on Ryuuichi's leg. Ryuuichi hurried and took off his school jacket then wrapped it around Kotaru. Ryuuichi stood up. "Please, show me to the closest hospital with a pediatrics ward. Kotaro...has a fever!" Her voice was panicked. 

[Y/n] nodded and hurried to put on her shoes. She scooped up Hinata and led the way to the hospital. [Y/n] looked down at Hinata. 'He was only trying to tell us...how could I not have seen?' [Y/n] scolded herself as she continued to run. Once they got to the hospital, [Y/n] waited in the waiting room while Ryuuichi went to speak to the doctor.

Soon, Ryuuichi came out. [Y/n] stood from the sofa while Hinata played with the little toys on the floor. "How is he?" [Y/n] asked. "He has a fever from stress. They said he needs rest." Ryuuichi said and pulled out his phone, "I should let my parents know."

 [Y/n]'s look sadden at the thought of her parents. Tears fell from Ryuuichi's eyes which took [Y/n] by surprise. 

"That's right..." He muttered, "No matter what I try to call them about, they're never going to come home...Kotaro is all I have. And I'm also the only one who can protect Kotaro, and yet..." Ryuuichi sobbed. Tears slowly filled [Y/n]'s eyes as well, and she pulled Ryuuichi into a tight embrace. Her face was buried in his chest. Ryuuichi hugged [Y/n], tight, and cried on her shoulder.

Guilt...

That was the only thing [Y/n] felt. Of course, she wasn't the one that killed his parents, but how could she hate her parents when people like Ryuuichi have no parents at all. 

'Selfish...' [Y/n] thought to herself and squeezed Ryuuichi tighter. '

[Y/n]'s parents were probably off in Hawaii somewhere living their luxurious rich life while their children lived with her mother's aunt. "[Y/n]...-chan...?" Ryuuichi muttered and pulled away to look at her. A shadow was cast over her face, and all he could see were tears. 

"I'm...sorry..." [Y/n] said and wiped her tears, "I have no right to cry or complain about my parents...when your suffering like this."

[Y/n] felt a hand on her head. "Goodness. You silly little things..." 

[Y/n] turned around to see her great-aunt. "Aunt...Youko..." [Y/n] sniffled. 

"Listen. Those we've lost will never come back. But that doesn't mean we're all alone in this world, either." 

Tears continued to roll down Ryuuichi's cheeks. "Ma'am..." 

"But...I didn't lose-" 

"Be honest about your feelings, my dear. I know my sister thought you well about honesty." Youko said, and more tears ran down [Y/n]'s cheeks. 

The [h/c] girl covered her face. "I hate it!" [Y/n] sobbed, and her aunt hugged her, "How...how can a mother and father dump their two children on someone else and take off? We were never wanted, and it hurts so much." 

"Don't go thinking you have to be strong all by yourself." Aunt Youko said, and [Y/n] hugged her tighter.

Suddenly, [Y/n] heard a loud cry. "Nee-chan! Nee-chaaan!" Hinata cried while reaching up fro her. [Y/n] sniffled and picked him up. 

Hinata tried to wipe away his big sister's tears with his tiny hands. "N-No crying!" He whined while tears fell from his eyes. [Y/n] giggled and put on a big smile for him. 

"Sorry. That means no crying for you too." [Y/n] said and wiped her brother's eyes, "Happy Hinata!" She cheered. 

"Ay!" He cheered too, and [Y/n] hugged him tightly.

Then, they heard crying coming from the infirmary. 'Everyone seems to be emotional today.' [Y/n] thought to herself as the nurse come out with a crying Kotaro. 

"Thank goodness! Kotaro's big brother. Kotaro-kun started crying the moment he woke up, and he just won't stop." The nurse said. Kotaro looked at Ryuuichi. 

"Ryuu-niichan!" He sobbed while reaching for his brother. 

Ryuuichi took him from the nurse and hugged Kotaro. "Idiot. Why didn't you call me sooner?" Ryuuichi said, "You didn't have to endure it until you got a fever..." [Y/n] smiled, sadly, at the two brothers. 'They're going to be okay.' She thought and looked at Hinata, who was staring at Ryuuichi and Kotaro, then she squeezed him into a tight hug. Hinata giggled. 'We're going to be okay, too.'

"This is Kashima Ryuuichi-kun. He'll be joining our class staring today." The teacher said while Ryuuichi stood next to him at the front of the class with his name written on the boards. [Y/n] smiled. She finally had a new friend in her class. Well, another friend other than Hayato. 

"Go ahead and introduce yourself." 

"Um, nice to meet you!" Ryuuichi said and noticed Hayato and [Y/n] in that class. He smiled at them while [Y/n] waved at him. 

"Uh, I'm Kashima Ryuuichi. I'm in the babysitter club. I'm eager to get to know all of you!" Ryuuichi announced and bowed his head. After school, Ryuuichi, [Y/n] and Hayato went to the daycare room, and Ryuuichi explained what happened the previous day to Usaida.

"Really?" Usaida questioned, and Ryuuichi nodded. "But we got him to the hospital right away, so he was fine." Ryuuichi said. 

"I'm glad it wasn't serious." Hayato said while [Y/n] nodded. 

"Taro-chan had me really worried. It seems like Hinata was trying to tell us, but he didn't know how." She said. 

"Yeah. Thanks, [Y/n]-chan." Ryuuichi said, and [Y/n] smiled while rubbing the back of her head. "It was nothing." She said, sheepishly. 

"Hey, Kotaro!" They heard and turned to the children.

"I b-brought my best book with me today! Wanna look with me?" Taka asked, and Kotaro nodded. Taka and the rest of the children smiled and gathered around the book. [Y/n] blushed and cupped her hands over her mouth. 

"They're...They're too cute!" [Y/n] cooed and placed her hands on her cheeks. 

Ryuuichi and Hayato both looked down at the long [h/c]-haired beauty. Her cute expression melted their hearts. She was the perfect girl, and in the future, she could be the perfect housewife. But...let's not look too far ahead. First, they had to at least get a date.
