"Hello~" jin knocked on the tea shop door.

"Jin?" Iroh spun around shocked as she waved with a small smile with a suitcase at her side.

"Oh my dear you made it!" Iroh walked up to her as they hugged tightly and she giggled.

"Yea thank you for all the help, I really wanted to surprise Zuko," jin pulled her hair out of its bun.

"Leave your suitcase here, he's upstairs, oh and his friends are coming for dinner so you'll meet them! That's wonderful!" Iroh clasped his hands together excited and jin was a little surprised but smiled nodding.

"I can't wait, I'll go see him," jin patted his shoulder and went upstairs to see her friend happily.

She opened the door into the small apartment as Zuko was cooking in the kitchen as he fed a piece of steak to durk who sat on the counter. She smiled sneaking up behind him and covered his eyes making his jump a foot in the air.

"Kat we talked about your breaking and entering," Zuko side touching the hands over his eyes. He chuckled taking them off and turned around only to see jin.

"Holy shit, jin!" Zuko swept her off her feet and spun around in a tight embrace.

"I'm hurt you didn't know it was me," jin laughed kissing his cheek when he set her down and held his hands gently.

"Your suppose to be on the other side of the world, what are you doing here? How..." Zuko looked at her as she looked comfy in her clothes, she mustve just gotten off the flight.

"I told you I was going to visit during your Christmas break, think I'm a liar?" She snorted punching his chest.

"I thought you were putting that away for college instead?" He frowned concerned.

"Well it's not that expensive when you don't have to pay for hotels, the states are not cheap I'll tell you that," jin scoffed and Zuko smiled down at her gently.

"I missed you," he patted the top of her head and she giggled.

"You can stay in my room, I'll take the couch," he wrapped an arm around her shoulders pulling her along.

"Ugh finally I can get some of my shit back from you, thief," she elbowed him a little.

Katara came early to the apartment as iroh was closing up the shop and Sokka went to pick up suki and toph, Aang was able to walk.

She heard noise from the bedroom as it sounded like Zuko wasn't alone, she knocked loud enough for him to hear and walked in.

Katara blinked confused seeing a girl smoking a cigarette at the window as Zuko sat on his desk next to her.

"I didn't touch it," Zuko said quickly as jin snorted inhaling the cigarette and flicked it outside.

"Promise?" Katara smirked a little and he nodded frantically.

"Kat, this is jin, jin this is Katara," zuko stood up and jin looked at her.

"Nice to meet you Katara," she beamed brightly and Katara gulped a little but smiled. This was zukos best friend, she was here, she was closer to Zuko knowing his harsh past and was able to help him through it, if she doesn't like Katara then it's all over.

"Same to you, I've heard such great things about you," Katara waved awkwardly as Zuko walked out of the room to go back to the kitchen.

"I didn't know she was visiting," Katara walked a little faster to catch up with him.

"It was actually a surprise, she talked about coming to visit but not when, I'm glad you finally get to meet her," Zuko kissed her forehead gently wrapping an arm around her.

"Does she know about us?" Katara asked worried.

"Uh.. no.." Zuko pursed his lips a little.

"Hey what movie do you guys wanna watch?" Jin jumped over the couch and turned to them wide eyes.

"You choose, want a snack?" Zuko asked as he went to the cabinet.

"Yes sir!" She held her hands up and he threw fruit snacks at her from the kitchen.

"Sokka should be here any minute," Katara checked her phone.

"Oh so you actually have friends now? Finally," jin laughed a little as Katara sat on the counter.

"Trust me it was a process, but having my brother mixed with it just was a hassle, those two are awful together," Katara sighed rolling her eyes as Zuko sent her a look.

"He's chased me through your house how many times?" Zuko asked dryly.

"I didn't tell him too, that's between you two," she put her hands up in defense.

"And I also was on your side, sokkas attacks are all on him," Katara kicked at him a little but Zuko scoffed mimicking her.

"Y'ello," Sokka bursts in as appa ran past him excitedly and sniffed at the new person. Jin cooed seeing the fluffy brown Newfoundland.

"Appa come back!" Aang chased after him as Zuko put durk on top of the fridge so appa wouldn't lick him.

Sokka walked in as suki had Toph on her arm but noticed jin on the couch. She waved at them smiling as they both waved back confused.

"Katara I think zukos cheating on you?" Sokka whispered loudly to his sister.

"That's jin, she was zukos close friend back in Japan," Katara explained rolling her eyes at her drama queen of a brother.

"Oh! Does she speak English..?" Sokka asked looking at Zuko.

"Anata wa watashi ga kare ni watashi ga ikenai koto o nattoku sa seru koto ga dekiru to omoimasu ka?" Jin looked at Zuko excitedly and Zuko smiled a little.

"Easy, but no, jin can speak perfect English," he told them and she threw her hands in the air betrayed.

"Oh, uh welcome to America?" Suki smiled awkwardly at her.

"Thanks, it's neat here so far," jin waved back as suki sat with her on the couch as appa enjoyed the pets.

"How long is she staying," Toph asked curiously as she and Sokka went to the kitchen.

"Don't know, maybe a week or two," Zuko turned the stove off and took the pan to the side.

"Well her and suki seem to get along at least, and Aang too," Katara looked over her shoulder happy that jin was getting along so easily.

Jin called over to Zuko speaking Japanese and Zuko sent her a look, she giggled seeing her reaction.

"Behave jin," Zuko rolled his eyes.

"Always Lee," she snorted.

"Lee?" Katara asked confused.

"It's my middle name," he shrugged.

"Ha it's Lee?!" Sokka burst out laughing.

"Yea? Why? It's common," Zuko didn't understand why it was funny.

"Leave him alone jerk," Katara kicked at her brother.
