listen

Zuko sat in the backseat as Sokka gave him a ride home as Katara sat passenger talking with her brother, Zuko was dozing in and out of sleep as his head was against the window. Katara glanced back and giggled a little at him.

"Don't laugh, I'm tired," Zuko didn't bother opening his eyes and she laughed a little harder as Sokka snorted seeing his head bobbing to the side when he failed to keep it straight.

"Well getting in an accident does that," Sokka smirked.

"You told him?" Zuko opened his eyes and raised a brow.

"Only him," Katara smiled back at him.

They listened to the radio as Sokka noticed a car riding him from behind and flashed their brights at him. Sokka groaned as he was already going above the speed limit but the person behind him stayed on his tail.

"This asshole won't back off," Sokka whined annoyed.

Zuko sat up and looked behind seeing it was another black car similar to the one earlier. The windows were tinted black so he couldn't see inside. Zuko slowly reached in his bag and grabbed his gun and loaded the barrel inside, he slid it under his shirt before either sibling noticed as he laid back against the door, unlocking his door in case.

"Turn left," Zuko told Sokka calmly. "It's a short cut to my uncles,"

Sokka didn't think much of us and did so. Katara was confused knowing irohs shop was further down the road and right. She noticed Zuko looked a little more tense in his body than his face gave away.

"Turn left again," he watched the car behind them. They were absolutely following.

"At the stop sign go right and head to the freeway, don't slow down," Zuko said again and Sokka was confused.

"What?" He asked making a face.

"Don't go home yet either, wait an hour with no one following you," Zuko sat up as they were getting closer to the stop sign.

"I'm being followed?" Sokka looked in the mirror and realized Zuko was right.

They stopped at the sign and Zuko waited patiently as they watched the car behind them stop as well.

Just as Sokka was about to go Zuko kicked the door open and jumped out leaving everything behind except his gun and phone.

"Zuko!" Sokka yelled surprised.

"Go!" Katara told him sternly as Zuko sprinted down the road on the left as the black car squealed and went after the boy.

Sokka gasped and went left as well to follow the black car.

Zuko panted as he pushed himself to run farther and heard the car roaring after him. He sneered grabbing his gun and spun around shooting at the tires of the black car. It swerved to the side but only got holes in its hood rather than the window or tires.

"He had a gun?!" Sokka yelled as Katara went into zukos back pack to see whatever else he could possibly be carrying. She found a switch blade and taser.

"Jesus your boyfriend is insane!" Sokka screamed in shock.

Katara was about to answer but they both screamed when a new black truck slammed into the side of them and made sokkas car turn over.

Zuko stopped immediately seeing the car on its side.

"Kat!" Zuko screamed running towards the car. He shot at the black truck by it but he felt something hit his neck and his body immediately crumbled to the ground as he gasped in shock.

Zuko groaned laying on the cement as his eyes felt heavier. He saw a familiar face get out of the car and look inside where Katara and Sokka were.

"No..." he breathed seeing a few other figures coming towards them and a man walking to him.

He fought to keep his eyes open but failed when a man chuckled grabbing his gun and watched the teenager loose consciousness.

"Sayonara little prince.."

Zuko woke up as the lights hurt his eyes when he tried to open them. He looked around and immediately knew where he was. He looked around remembering what happened as saw Katara and Sokka.

They were in a dinning room with a crystal chandelier above them and a soft red room, dark oak table that stretched a few meters. He inhaled deeply seeing he wasn't strapped down to the chair, grabbing his head in pain.

"Why don't you have a drink?"

Zuko jumped at the voice and saw his father sitting at the head of the table. He noticed he and the other two teens were at the far end where butlers were behind them in uniform.

The doors opened as other men, that were familiar faces including zhao, entered the room chatting a little as they sat with their boss. They must've been for protection.

"It was nice of you to join us Zuko, as well as your friends," Ozai smiled down at him.

"Let them go, do what you want with me but they're innocent, they're good people who have normal lives-" "shut up," Zuko stiffened at the tone of his father and immediately went silent.

He saw the two waking up as Sokka had dried blood running down his nose and a bruise; as Katara had a gash on her hairline with blood down the side of her face. The accident.

"Zuko.. what.." Zuko immediately shushed Katara before she said anything else. Sokka blinked confused but his eyes widen seeing they weren't alone.

They looked at the only one they trusted as Zuko shook his head to keep them quiet. He put his elbows on the table and crossed his arms glaring down at the end of the table.

The siblings glanced down fearfully but Kataras eyes widen seeing the man at the end, he looked so similar to Zuko, the jaw and nose, those eyes. It had to be his father. She pursed her lips keeping her hands in her lap and stayed silent.

"Good, you're all alive and well," Ozai looked at the other two children as Sokka was getting frustrated. Zuko shook his head again.

"My apologies about the car, it was a mistake," he hummed a little as a waiter poured him red wine.

"They must've thought my son was still with you," he smirked and sipped the wine.

"Obviously I wasn't, they have no reason to be here," Zuko snarled a little but Ozai lost his smile and seemed annoyed. He sighed and set a gun on the table.

"I think your starting to forget your place boy, no you don't work for me anymore but you don't hold anything that's worth keeping you alive either, so shut your useless pathetic mouth now or I'll do it for you," Ozai aimed the gun as him but Zuko didn't look phased.

Kataras jaw dropped watching as Sokka felt tears weld up in his eyes loosing his tough guy act seeing the gun pointed at his friend. A fear tears escaped as he kept his head down.

"Then what is it you want?" Zuko gulped a little.

"We're having a meeting," Ozai finally set the gun down. "I'd like it if you stayed for dinner,"

Zuko felt sick to his stomach as drinks were being served. A white wine was poured into his glass as well as Kataras and sokkas.

"So Zuko, do you remember our last chat?" Ozai asked.

"The one where I made sure you know that your not out without a little something, I do think the pretty face in the corner was involved," he motioned to the girl as looked up confused.

"No," Zuko said sternly.

"I wasn't asking you," he spat.

"I said no," Zuko stood up slamming his hands on the table.

"Your words are invalid, sit your ass down," Ozai slammed his own fist down causing everyone but the boy to jump.

"I'm not listening till they're gone," he said not backing down.

"Then I'll make sure neither of them are a problem," Ozai threatened.

That made Zuko sit immediately knowing exactly what that meant.

"Are You listening now boy?" He asked inhaled deeply.

Katara looked at him with wide blue eyes as Zuko crossed his arms and leaned back in the chair annoyed. He looked up at her seeing how afraid she was, he was angry, she was never suppose to see this place, see that man. Fuck, he failed.

"I'm listening, sir,"
