Chapter 11

A/N: The image above does not belong to me. It belongs to the person who uploaded it on the internet.

For those who might not know him, his name is Santa Pongsapak Udompoch. He recently starred in a BL series called "Seven Project" where he was paired with Cooheart as Cooheart's love partner. He is eight years younger than Cooheart but he will be turning eighteen in November of this year.

Third Person POV

Mrs. Namwirote hid her shock at seeing Kao's face all tear stricken. He had tried to avert his face so that Mrs. Namwirote would not see the tears but he had not turned his face away fast enough.

"Come, my son," Mrs. Namwirote said. "It's time for dinner. Rose has prepared a lovely dinner for us."

Calling Kao 'my son' made Kao burst into tears. Apart from his own mother, Kao had never felt such sweet motherly love from someone else before but it was not the kind of love that he was longing for at this moment. The love that he was hoping to get from the one he loved, Cooheart, was slowly slipping away from him. He was being taken away by that tricky sneaky physical therapist. What was his name again? Suck? Sek? Suck? Yeah, that person was definitely sucky.

"I'll follow you to the dining room in a moment, thank you, mom," Kao said, his voice sounding hoarse as he swallowed his tears hard.

"I will see him to the door, Rose, thank you," Cooheart dismissed Rose, standing from his wheelchair, testing his strength first before moving one foot forward.

"No, no, no, Cooheart," Sek protested. "You don't have to see me to the door. I will see myself out. Just stay seated. Why don't you wheel yourself to the dining room now. Or I can wheel you to the dining room if you wish."

"I'll be fine, Sek, thank you for your kind offer," Cooheart replied.

"I will see you day after tomorrow then," Sek said. "Have a lovely evening."

"You do the same  now," Cooheart replied.

Before turning away from Cooheart, on impulse, Sek bent and kissed Cooheart on the top of his head.

Mrs. Namwirote sat at the head of the table and surveyed the delicious dishes that Rose had laid out on the table. She felt so lucky that she had Rose in her employ. Rose was so efficient and had never failed to impress her with her excellent cooking ability.

She was opening the folded cloth napkin to spread it across her lap when she saw Cooheart wheeling himself into the dining room.

"Where is Kao?" Cooheart asked when he noticed that it was only his mom who was seated at the dining table.

"He must still be in his room," Mrs. Namwirote replied to her son.

"Let me go fetch him," Cooheart volunteered, maneuvering his chair to leave the dining room.

"No, no, no," Mrs. Namwirote said. "Come over here and sit beside me. "Kao said to me that he would follow shortly when I went to knock on his door."

"Very well," Cooheart conceded to his mom. "I wonder what's holding him up though."

"You might want to seriously ask yourself that," Mrs. Namwirote muttered under her breath.

Suddenly Mrs. Namwirote's phone started to ring. She fished her ringing phone from her skirt pocket and looked at her phone screen.

It was an unknown number but she decided to take the call anyway. It might be a potential client, who knows.

"Hello?" Mrs. Namwirote tentatively said on the phone, not wanting to identify herself in case it was a scam caller. There were so many of them these days.

"Good evening, Mrs. Namwirote, this is Pongsapak, the son of your friend Nina Udompoch," she heard a young man's voice on the phone.

"Oh yes, Santa! I didn't recognize your voice! How's your mom doing these days? I haven't heard from her for some time now," Mrs. Namwirote said, feeling guilty that she didn't recognize her close friend's son's voice right away.

"She's in the hospital right now," Mrs. Namwirote heard Santa saying. His voice sounded distressed. "She had to undergo surgery early this morning because she was complaining of a severe pain on the right side of her stomach. It turned out that she had appendicitis."

"Oh no!" Mrs. Namwirote exclaimed. "I'm so sorry to hear that! I will go see her first thing in the morning."

"I will let her know," Santa  said. "She asked me to call you and let you know that she was in the hospital the moment that she recovered from the anesthesia."

"Okay, kid, tell your mom to hang in there," Mrs. Namwirote said.

Mrs. Namwirote ended the call before she could hear Santa saying "I'm no longer a kid."
