The rest of the Avengers left and you were left on loki duty. As much as being alone with him bothered you, you had to do your job. You go down to the basement and see loki facing his back to you while reading a book. He seems to really like books. "Hey" You say with a smile. He doesn't react which makes you curious on what his deal is. Maybe he was really into his book. You suddenly hear a voice behind you and you turn around quickly. "Hello" Loki says. "How d did you get out?" You ask curiously. "I haven't gotten out." All of a sudden the hologram vanished and he was in his cell walking up to the glass. "Oh I forgot you can do that." "That is the closest to free I will ever get." He says emotionless. You look at him with a sad face. "Ok if I let you out you have to promise to not run away or I will never be forgiven. And it's only for a little, ok?" He looks at you shocked at first but then turns to a smirk. You sign and unlock the cell and he walks out. "Well I could get used to this." He says taking in the air. "My cell is so stuffy it's nice to get some air." He says. He looks at you and smiles. Then all of a sudden he vanished. You start to freak out and run upstairs to see if he was still here. After going insane for a few seconds you find him in your room. He was looking around your nightstand and found some of your books. He started skimming through it and turned to you. "Is it ok if I take this back to my cell?" He asked. Wow he actually asked for it. With everything they told you, you assumed he would just steal it. "Uh yeah sure. I finished it last night." After saying that you thought about last night and his sobbing and nightmare. He held the book in his hand and it vanished to his cell. "Hey Loki, can we talk about last night?" You ask hesitantly. "No" He says. "But you were freaking out. Is there something bothering you?" You push and he glares at you. "I said no" "Ok I won't push anymore. Just know that if you ever need someone to talk to I'm here." It becomes silent for a little until Loki breaks the silence. "Why do you care?" He said coldly. You look at him in shock. Why did you care. He is a murderer. You tell yourself. "Because I heard sobbing and I just wanted to make sure you were ok." "Well I am so why are you still curious?" He asked. "I don't know ok." You tell him. I just want to know more about you. You think. "Why?" He asks. "Why what?" "Why do you want to know more about me?" Is he reading my mind? "Yes I am. Now answer the question." "I don't know I just do ok." And get out of my head. "It's kinda hard when your thoughts are so loud. " There's just a lot on my mind." "Like me" He winks. You try to hide your pink face when  he moves closer to you. "How about we learn more about each other then." Ok.

"So your middle name is Bertha?" Loki says trying his hardest not to laugh. "Let it out" You roll your eyes and he let's out a chuckle. His laugh was cute. " Thank you  Y/n" You forgot he could read minds. "Shut up" You glare at him. You got a text from Tony. Oh no. "What is it darling?" He looked at you worried. "They're coming back. I'm sorry you have to go back to your cell." You warn him. You both go back to his cell and he walks in without hesitation. You thought he would leave the last chance he got. You lock the cell door and sit outside his cell. Why didn't he leave? "Why would I leave? Where would I go?" He looks at you. You look at him with sadness in your eyes and right when you were about to say something Tony came rushing down to tell you about the plan. "Come on Y/n. We have a plan. Someone else can take reindeer games duty ok." Reindeer games? I could use that. You remember he can read your mind and see Loki glaring at you. Maybe not. His glare turned into a smirk and you left to hear the plan.

"So your telling me this ant man guy can take us back in time?" "His equipment can not him." "Whatever you say." This wasn't going to be easy. "Will I be a part of this mission?" You ask hoping the answer is a yes. "Yep I already asked but promise me you will be careful." "I promise Tony. Hey what about Loki?" "Fury said he couldn't be here alone so he wants him to be with you. Since you had a whole day together and didn't kill each other we suspect that it went well." "Ugh fine I'll watch him." You were actually happy about this. He was cool to hang around.

Another time skip.

You get all dressed up and ready to go back in time. You had everything you needed to keep you and Loki safe. You don't know why but you wanted to keep him extra safe. You all stand on the launch pad and get ready to leave. "See you in a minute." Natasha says. Everyone smiles at her and all of a sudden you were back to where it all started. Everyone split into teams. Tony and Steve, you, loki, and ant man, Thor and rocket, Natasha, and Clint. Then the others were together.
