(Steve's Friendship Appreciation Chapter)

-What? Steve, that's not it, you know I don't...

-Let's see Sav I know that... You don't like boys and stuff but... I really think Joe can be an exception... Oh come on, I've known you for almost always and... We both know you have a weakness for the green eyes -I laughed when I heard the last thing, I thought it was just one of his jokes and I looked at Steve, he had been like my brother since the day we met, but I had never felt the necessary security to tell him about my sexual preferences, much less about my partners, what's more, he thought that what happened the other night with Dave, had simply been a bar fight with a foul-mouthed drunk, I had never dared to tell him anything, neither about Dave nor about any of the my previous partners, much less still than according to me, I was beginning to feel for Joe.

I looked at him carefully, I feared with all my being, that by telling him, Steve would disown me, it was not a surprise that the society of the time did not accept what I felt, and I fully feared that I could lose Steve, or any of the boys, just For this.

I got scared, even more, and quickly withdrew my gaze, surely I gave myself away with that gesture. Steve is no idiot he knows when I'm keeping something from him, and I'm sure he already knew my secret by then, but I was so convinced that he would hate me, I was speechless.

Steve took a deep breath and stopped me before I could continue walking.

-Sav... Answer the question... Please... -I looked him in the eyes and nodded, a sign that he was right, a weight flew off my chest when Steve hugged me smiling- it cost you more coming out of the closet than going out on stage for the first time. His words made me laugh.
-How long have you known? - I asked, intrigued to know how long he had been torturing me.

-Well, my first theory was a year ago, and Phil and Rick proved me right a couple of months ago

-Actually, Rick said that it was not possible that you were Gay but, Phil and I had our evidence.

-Steve, are you really so cruel? I've been hiding things for two months and you haven't been able to tell me that I was making a fool of myself hiding this? -Steve laughed and I was infinitely grateful for his good reaction

We both spent quite some time chatting about it, I felt truly free at last, and even more so knowing that the boys also knew, and agreed with it. I'm unlucky in love, but when it comes to friendship, I'm incredibly lucky.

We both met looking at some of Joe's things once at his house.
