Continuing on from the last chapter*

Recap*

After the huge brawl between Toni and Tyler's ex girlfriend Scarlett, he was determined to get his friendship with Toni back together.

His and Scarlett's relationship was completely over and that wasn't setting well with her.

Scarlett was planning on never letting Tyler go, no matter what the situation is.

Now Toni on the other hand, she didn't want anything to do with him after that dramatic incident.

But that didn't stop Tyler, he let her cool down and went over, determined to talk to her.

When he walked in and finally got her to sit down and speak with him, he surprised Toni by spilling all the feelings that he had for her; Proving it, he asked her to meet him for a date tonight downtown Orlando.

If she came then he knew that everything he said was right, and they could move out of the friend zone; moving to the relationship stage.

But if she didn't come, then Tyler knew that, that was it. He would leave her alone and knew that he screwed up everything.

With Tyler*

By the time he walked into his apartment, it was time to freak out a little.

His whole life, Tyler had never been that person to show his soft side; He was always the guy that holds everything in and keeps it all to himself. But today was different and it changed him as he just came out and asked his best friend to a date.

It didn't take him long to run into his bedroom, fling open the closet door and look for a sharp outfit.

After a couple minutes of deep looking, he found an old suit that his dad got for him when he signed to New Japan.

Tyler tried everything on and it all still fit surprisingly.

Now the nerves were kicking in as he was cleaning himself up a bit like shaving his face, making sure the suit is all clean and putting on some cologne.

This was time to impress Toni and become hers.

10 minutes later*

Tyler jumped into his doorless Jeep and drove down the road. He had a few ideas for the wanted aussie as this was going to spark something inside him, proving himself to her that he's serious.

Headlights pull up to a florist, and he could see an employee walk outside and almost lock up; Tyler jumped out and ran up to the lady.

Tyler: Excuse me ma'am, I just need a couple seconds.

Employee: I'm about to lock up.

Tyler: Please, just a couple seconds for a purchase. Please! It's important.

She looked at him and unlocked the door, and turning on only one light switch shined above the cash register.

Lucky the manager hasn't come in after hours to count the money, so he was in the clear.

There was only one bundle of roses left, which was perfect.

Lady: Must be a special night?

Tyler: You don't even know the beginning, so let's just say this is do or die.

Lady: Well, whoever the misses is then shes a lucky lady.

That got his convenience up sky high as he was still nervous.

After he paid the lady, he thanked her and ran out to his jeep.

He put them in the passenger seat and continued his drive to the nice restaurant.

10 more minutes later*

Tyler pulled up to the nice restaurant where it was packed, and luckily he called ahead earlier today.

It was a candle light theme, and as he walked up to the reservations desk where he was greeted by a nice older woman.

Waitress: Evening sir, are you on the list?

Tyler: Infact I am, name is Tyler Black.

Waitress: T. Black.. let's see; ah yes, here you are. Table for two outside right?

Tyler: Yes ma'am.

Waitress: Great, right this way sir.

She walked him throughout the restaurant area and outside to the balcony.

There were a couple people sitting back there but only room for four tables, and luckily Tyler snagged the last one for the next two hours.

He sat down at the table as the older lady grabbed a notepad and took his drink order.

Tyler ordered a bottle of wine for the two, and now he waits.

A couple minutes after the waitress brought the bottle, he poured two glasses.

He then shot Toni a text of where the place was, his reservation name and telling her that he was there.

Then, the waitress came back and took his food order.

After thinking for a little bit, Tyler ordered for the two with steak dinners. She happily took it and walked back inside as Tyler was still waiting.

10 minutes later*

A bus boy came out with the food and looked at Tyler.

Boy: Two steaks? Medium rare?

Tyler: Yeah, that's me.

Boy: Alright, I don't think I've ever seen a person order two meals.

Tyler: Had to, waiting for someone.

Boy: Ahh, well enjoy.

He thanked the man and waited for his girl to arive.

An hour later*

Tyler was just staring at his phone as the food was cold and the wine bottle was half way.

He tried to text Toni multiple times but got nothing back.

That worried him a little bit, but he was going to wait.

Another hour goes by: 9pm*

The restuarant was starting to fill up as the night rush was coming in full force.

And there was Tyler, sitting outside on the balcony.. alone.

Toni never showed up.

As the waitress came back out, she was shocked to see him still sitting out there.

Waitress: Young man, why are you still here?

Tyler: My date never showed.

She was heartbroken for him and sat down on the chair across from him.

Waitress: I'm so sorry to hear that.

Tyler: Thanks?

Waitress: You're probably wondering why I care so much; You remind me of my grandson, and he's been in this situation before.

Tyler: Mhm.

He really wasn't wanting to talk to anyone at this point, but since he didn't want to be rude he heard her out.

Waitress: He was, and he got through it pretty easily.

Tyler: How?

Waitress: He waited a couple days and had a sit down talk with his girl. Now I can say that may have helped the relationship more since they've been married for five years and are expecting their second child.

Tyler: Ahh, well congratulations to them. But my situation is different than theres is miss. I just want to leave now, can I have my check?

Waitress: Of course, let me get a couple boxes for you.

A couple minutes later*

The woman walked back out with his boxes and no check, which confused and angered him a little since all he wanted to do was leave.

Waitress: Here are your boxes sir, I hope your night gets better.

Tyler: Wait, what about my check? I still have to pay.

Waitress: Don't worry, we took care of it.

Tyler: We?

He looked through the window and saw a couple other older and younger waitresses slightly wave at him, and that really embarrassed him.

Everyone now knows that he was stood up and has had a terrible evening.

Before he left, he laid down a substantial amount of money down on the table for a tip for the older woman that helped him all night.

It was time to go, and he grabbed his boxes and headed outside to the parking lot through the gate.

He couldn't go inside and face everyone that knows about what he's going through.

In his Jeep*

He saw the roses sitting in the passenger seat, and that really made him sad.

Tyler: I thought she would come.

Sitting there for a bit, he put the boxes in the passenger seat. He pulled up some music and drove home.

It was a pretty shitty drive home, as he would see almost a couple at every corner and it was slowly killing him inside.

That was it in his mind, he messed up and paid the price by loosing Toni.

Back home*

Tyler unlocked his door and walked into the quiet apartment, he then set the flowers and food down on the counter.

He only knew one thing to do and walked to the refrigerator, grabbing a twelve pack of beer. He was wanting to forget the night, and this was the only way he could.

After getting them in a cooler, he walked out to his balcony, flipped on some music and popped open the first bottle.

With Toni*

She has been doing nothing but sitting on her couch in shock.

With what happened earlier in the day; her brawling with Scarlett over Tyler, and him coming out and spilling all of his feelings for her.

This was all happening quickly and hitting her like a train, she had no idea what to do.

Toni: He wants me to go.. but what do I do?

Nothing was coming up in her head, so she needed a second opinion. So she called up the person that always has time for her.

Bea: Toni? What's up?

Toni: Bea.. I'm in a situation.

Bea: I could tell, you never call me on Tuesday's.

Toni: I know, but I need some serious help.

Bea: Alright, go on.

She was trying to find a way to word it all, but there was no time as she had no idea how long Tyler would be waiting without an answer. She's already received multiple texts from him telling her where the place is.

Toni: This all involves Tyler.

Bea: What about Ty?

Toni: So it all started this morning, I was coming back home from the Performance Center after my workout. In my parking spot is Elizabeth standing there talking shit about me.

Bea: Elizabeth? Why was she there?

Toni: She was in town because her and Tyler talked, but I guess they broke up.

Bea: Well yeah I know that.

Toni: Wait, you do!?

That made her freak out a little as she may have screwed this all up.

Toni: You knew that Tyler broke up with her? And you didn't tell me!?

Bea: I didn't think it was a big deal, plus he told Will and I that he'd talk to you.

Toni: Great, now I don't believe I can ever face him now.

Bea: Why? What did you do?

Toni: He come over to my place and spilled his guts to me, about how he's always liked me and he was wrong for letting me go. Before he left, he told me to meet him at this restaurant tonight.

Bea: And you didn't go!?

Toni: Of course not, I didn't know that he did all of this before and I was really upset by it all.

Bea: You stood him up!?

Toni: I.. I'm a horrible person.

Bea: You need to go over and fix this Toni, he told me that he's really excited about all of this. Who knows what could happen if this is permanent.

That made her freak out even more, making her feel like a horrible person; she then remembered on why she was debating on even going.

Toni: You know what? I'll talk to him soon, all of this was just dropped onto me and I'm still not recovering from the drama earlier. I have so many questions to ask before anything even goes further. I need my space between all of this.

Bea: That's your call. I'm your best friend and so is Tyler, don't make you regret anything. I just want you two to be happy.

Toni: I'll keep you updated.

She hung up and sat back down on her couch still speechless.

Now it's all on Toni, as now she doesn't know that Tyler just got home and is very depressed.

Back with Tyler, an hour later*

The next playlist was starting up and he was on his fifth bottle, determined to forget the night he was drowning the alcohol quick.

He was sitting on his outdoor couch and looking up at the sky.

All of a sudden, out of everything he heard that was going on; Tyler heard a door close, so he looked over and saw the women that was supposed to meet him tonight.

Toni walked out onto her balcony wearing a hoodie and sweats, and had her phone close.

In Tyler's mind, she was ignoring him and didn't want anything to do with him.

But that changed when his phone light came on and he saw a text pop up. Being pretty tipsy, he grabbed it slowly and read it.

Will: Hey man, call me if you get this message.

Even though it was his best friend checking up on him, he didn't want anything to do with him now.

He put his phone down and stood up, but as he did that Tyler dropped an empty bottle off the balcony and heard it crash in the little alley below.

Which that sound also caught Toni's attention, as she lifted her head and put the hood down to see Tyler standing; leaning over the balcony pretty drunk.

She then felt really bad as he's been home and outside the whole time.

After thinking it over, she decided to send him a text and walk back inside.

She sent it, got into her pajamas and sat down on her couch to try and think all of this over.

20 minutes later*

Tyler walked back inside to his living room and tripped onto his couch.

He started to fall asleep as his phone hit the floor below him.

As he passed out for the night, the text came in.

Toni🤘: I'm sorry Ty.

Now what was he going to do? At this point; Tyler thinks that he can't ever see Toni again and not thinking what he did to her.

He feels guilty.

Like it's all his fault.
