VERONA "VERA" LEVINE IS READY FOR THE SUMMER OF HER LIFE. She has a bucket list to complete and a summer scrapbook to fill, and no other priorities . . . until John B Routledge enlists her and the rest of their friends—the Pogues— to finish the treasure hunt his father had started.

And, well, what's the risk? It's not as if his father is lost at sea or anything—oh, wait.

However, being a Pogue comes with its own set of rules—never leave a Pogue behind being the biggest one. The group quickly finds themselves putting their own twist on Scooby Doo, complete with mysteries and villains and romance blooming.

Unfortunately for JJ Maybank and Pope Heyward, one of the other Pogue rules—no Pogue-on-Pogue macking— was her own creation. She's too worried about romance destroying the group from the inside out to see what's directly in front of her face, until she may just be forced to reevaluate her values.

After all, she can't expect to escape their adventure unscathed.

so... i've had this fic in the works for a while (unwritten) but this latest season made me bring it back. i can't stop thinking about these characters so here we are! this is already so much fun to write 🤍

this story is going to focus A LOT on the friendships. there will of course be relationship stuff and all the drama expected with a show about teenagers, but obx is so special to me because of the focus on their friendships so i want to do that <3

also it was so much fun making instagram accounts for them... vera has the most followers bc she's tiktok famous and completely unaware of it! she posts vlogs on there just for fun of her and the pogues doing stupid shit, kie & her dancing, and she makes informational videos about surfing/protecting the earth. she has no idea how popular she is though because she literally just posts and goes on with her life... oblivious as hell 🤦‍♀️

john b's ig bio... i did that man dirty but i couldn't NOT do it. also sarah's account is so dry bc she's still in the bubble wrap!! im going to remake them for every season i think.
