Tap tap. I open one eye and see nothing around my room so I close my eyes. Tap tap tap tap. I scrunch my eyebrows together and ignore it. TAP TAP TAP. I groan and get up, the floor is freezing so I walk to my dresser near my window on my tiptoes, grabbing red fuzzy socks that we're my mothers and put them on quickly. Tap tap tap. The tapping sounds were closer than before so I stop and look around. That's when I spot it. A tiny brown owl with largest blue eyes I've ever seen, knowing that this means I got a letter I walk up to it. I open my window and the owl soars in and sits on my desk, confused of who would send me a letter I take it and open it.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock,
Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)

Dear Ms. Black,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

I stare down at the letter with no emotion at all, my father and mother went there but they left me alone, by myself for 11 years, but the urge of learning more about magic came over me and grabbed some parchment on my desk and a pen and wrote

Dear Minerva McGonagall,

I would love to attend Hogwarts School of witchcraft of wizardry, but I think I have no way of getting there.
Thank you for the letter but I don't think I'll get there in time

I think to myself that she will be to busy to answer my letter but I send it anyways. Since I'm already up I walk to my wardrobe and get a black sweatshirt and black leggings and some underwear and silently walk to the bathroom and take a shower.

Later in the day while I'm reading in my room I hear the same tap as earlier, my ears perked up at the sound of it. I get up and scrunch my eyebrows together, there is no way Minerva has responded in just 4 hours after sending my letter. Tap tap. I walk towards the window and I see the same owl as earlier, I let it in and flies on my desk again. I grab the letter and walk to my bed and open it.

                             Dear Ember Black,
I can send a friend of mine named Rubeus Hagrid to help you get to Diagon Alley and To platform 9 3/4, he will be here in 20 minutes. Good luck.

I read the letter and decide to wait for the man named Rubeus Hagrid to stand on my doorstep.

Knock knock. startled I jump up in the Air and run downstairs and check through the peephole seeing a mans face, so I open the door expecting a normal sized man but all I see is legs, so I look up and see a man with a large untamed scrunchy beard and a big smile "'Hello Ember!" He speaks cheerfully but I can see through him, he's scared. "H-hello" I speak groggily because I haven't spoken since I was 3 when I saw a man outside with long blonde hair, he looked familiar but anyways the man I was guessing was called Rubeus said "I was sent here by-" I cut him off by "Minerva McGonagall to go to Diagon Alley and bring me to Platform 9 and 3/4" I stare at him up and down until he starts to walk away "Hey-Uh-Sir?" I asked very confused, he doesn't answer so I was about shut the door but Hagrid said "Are you coming or what?" I scrunched my eyebrows and walk out in the hot air and close the door and follow the man Rubeus Hagrid.

I know this chapter is rushed but I'm sick and I wanna die and comment if I made any mistakes (i re-edited this whole chapter so tell me how I did) and who was the man Ember was talking about ;)
