The bell rung signifying it was time for PTSA meeting. Jordan sighed in frustration, he was not looking toward to another  long meeting.

' Jordan get up, you know we are collecting our badges today so get your ass up right now' Alex said throwing his pillow at him. Jordan groaned and got up.

'Its not like as if our opinion would be needed, we are just doing servant work there'

'And so, please stand up, Ben have you polished his shoe'

'Yes' Jordan got up and wore his shirt and socks, he gave Alex his jacket to carry and they left the hostel.

'My mother should better bring food for me o, the standing I'm going to stand today go bad'

'My mother is not even coming for the meeting sef, please let's go before they say I'm late' Jordan replied putting on his glasses. 'Me, I need to look cool today for the ladies'

'So you don't always look cool, Rebecca will finish you again'

'Abeg she should behave herself o, I'm not fine because of her, my mom and dad are cute that's why I'm like this o, its not my fault' Jordan whined making the boys laugh as they approached the hall.

'Oh, so you wore glasses today' Isabelle said as they entered the hall, the  boys ignored her and passed 'you guys are snubbing me now, okay' Isabelle replied but the boys didn't give her attention.

   Tomika stood with her friends at the back of the hall during the meeting. Parents argued and argued throughout the meeting as a result of the decisions made by the school management. After about three hours, the meeting came to an end and Jordan was asked to give an impromptu closing speech, the look on his face made her laugh, he wasn't paying attention during the meeting, her mind went back to Friday night, he was actually thinking about her, she had to apologize for not coming but he should understand. She was going to meet him after the meeting on their way to ref.

As the students left the hall to bring the rest of the school out for visiting, Tomika stayed behind and waited for him, she took her time to actually admire him, now why wouldn't someone fall for him, he was gorgeous, the glasses he wore really complimented him even though it was just for fashion. He looked even more sexy without his jacket and his sleeves folded to his elbow, she needed to stop staring before someone noticed but it was hard, how could someone be so dangerous and so hot at the same time.

'Are you done checking me out yet' someone said bringing her out of her thoughts, oh no, someone caught her staring, she looked at the person seeing it was Andrew and not who she thought, she glared at him

'Who was checking you out, please get out'

'Don't deny, I know I'm good looking' Andrew replied with a smirk. She rolled her eyes at him.

'I was not checking you out number one, and two, I'm waiting for someone'

'Who? Sp? He has gone to ref you know' she groaned hearing that, Andrew had distracted her or was it her thoughts instead. 'Why are you waiting for him?'

'Something that concerns me Andrew, stop plugging' he scoffed

'You're going to ref now right, let's go' he said pulling her along and they walked back to ref. Jordan stood in front of ref with Jessica, he looked irritated because he was glaring furiously at her.

'You were supposed to tell mom, that's your only job Jayjay' Jessica said, Tomika shivered, even her voice was as irritating as she was, she shook her head

'I'll see you later Andrew' she said and walked towards where he sat, seeing her, he stopped frowning only to raise a brow. Jessica turned around to see her, she gasped in horror

'Why are you here, Jayjay is she one of your toys'

'You can shut up now Jessica, you've said enough'

'No. Tomika or whoever you are, I'm with my brother at the moment so you can disappear, you're not my brother's league so I wonder why you think you have a chance with him'

'Jessica Williams, shut the fuck up before I make you do it myself. That never goes well for you, you should know that by now, please excuse me sp Jordan I'll come back later' she said and walked away, Jordan smiled

'Did you see what she did, did you hear what she said Jayjay'

'You guys have a history, that's the kind of gists I want to be hearing not this nonsense you're vomiting' Jordan replied and entered ref, he looked at his time, it was almost 1pm, he had just five minutes to talk to her. He entered ss1 row, she was talking to her table mates, the look on her face she was furious, Jessica was so dead, he found himself happy that Tomika had threatened her to her friends and they agreed with her, this was the kind of drama he had been waiting for.

'Tomika' he said, she stopped talking, seeing him she got up and came to meet him.'give me a minute, I'll be outside okay' he said and left, she nodded and went outside to wait for him. He came outside as she herself got out.

'Uh..I um..'

'Thanks for driving my sister away from me' he said which surprised her

'Um...you're welcome, and I'm sorry I didn't come on Friday, I know you waited for me and I didn't come and that was so disrespectful, I'm sorry, the truth is that...'

'You didn't want to talk to me, I understand'

'That's not it, Gosh this is so awkward, should I say I had so many thoughts on my head, shy and scared mostly scared'

'Of?'

'I dunno, I feel so stupid right now' she said covering her face with her palms.

'Okay, can you tell me what you're scared of' he said placing his hands on her shoulder. The students had already started leaving the refectory, he checked his time seeing it was already one, he looked at her urging her to talk and she told him all that was in her mind, what Isabelle had said and his that made her scared, he tried his best not to laugh

'Are you trying to laugh at me'

'No, its just funny you know'

'What is,I don't mean to be rude but someone has to be careful being with you and your friends'

'What I understand from what you said is you want to be with me but you're scared of heart breaks'

'You say it so casually Like its nothing'

'Its not something, being with me is faith, I'm not gonna lie to you I'm not a player or something, I am a player, you know, everyone knows but i can only tell you I pick my girls wisely, don't compare yourself with Colette, you're much more better than her'

'Wow. How can you say that with ease'

'I pick my girls wisely is all I can tell you, and when I say I pick them wisely, I pick people I can trust. I don't want a relationship with you, I just want to be friends, I've never kept a friend that's a girl except from Izzy'

'Why? Girls are cool'

'Guys are way cooler and easier to keep secrets with'

'Secrets huh'

'I have a sister and I know what I'm saying, you're the second girl I want to actually be friends with if you want to be friends' she smiled

'Yeah, I'll like that' that made him smile. They had already walked towards the open field where cars were parked, he took her hands in his 'can I trust you Tomika' he said, the way he said those five words, Tomika stared at him for a while before nodding slowly, he smiled again

'Thanks. Now I have a question for you'

'You do?' He nodded

'Why were you staring at me back during the meeting' she scoffed when she met his smirk

'I was not staring at you, I..I had things on my mind, I was thinking'

'All right, you were thinking, we'll pretend I believe you, what about after the meeting, you were waiting for Andrew right and you were checking me out, I'm not even the one that noticed you first' she gasped then bit her lips

'I was not waiting for Andrew and I definitely was not checking you out' she replied, so someone actually caught her and told him, she wondered who the idiot was, what she wouldn't do just to punch the person.

'Okay, so what were you doing' he said and faced her with a raised brow. His smile suddenly dropped as his sister approached them. 'What so you want Jessica I'm busy'

'Mom is here and she asked me to find you and give you' Jessica replied drooping car keys on his hand, he frowned

'The fuck does she mean?'

'The car is over there, beside chapel, she wants you to drive it over here'

'Why couldn't she do it, she drove it here'

'I have no idea, please stop talking to her and get this done, I'm hungry'

'And how exactly does that affect me' she sighed

'Okay, I'm sorry, please hurry up and get the car here' he rolled this eyes

'I've heard, I'm coming' He replied and Jessica left. 'You have to ignore her, I hate her more than you think you do' Tomika smiled.

'I'll see you after this whole stuff'

'You're in ss1, you don't seem thrilled about visiting'

'Oh I am, a lot'

'I'll see you later in the evening, a stroll this time'

'I won't miss it, I promise' he smiled again and walked off removing his tie.

'There you are, my beautiful baby boy, mommy missed you' his mother cooed as he walked towards where she stood

'Don't talk to me'

'Come on Jayjay, I haven't seen you in three months'

'And when you see me after the three months you give me your keys to drive and you expect me to smile and say hey mommy' he said rolling his eyes

'Jayjay I was tired, I haven't rested in a while'

'I was in a stupid meeting till 12 pm last night and was in another one till 2 today, oh and I got my badge today, you're not going to see it so don't bother asking' his mother glared at him, her face lit up suddenly,

'You're wearing glasses, I knew you weren't this handsome' he turned around and faced her

'What did you say?'

'You look so hot darling, you got the girls drooling right' she replied with a smile

'Better, I'm sure you Like walking, so meet me at the field' he said and entered the car, starting it immediately, he drove off. His mind went back to Tomika, Izzy was so stupid at times, she didn't need to tell her that, His mind went back to Colette, she was good, too good, he would have worked with Colette but she was a puppet who loved anything as long as it was related to sex, his mother would have him killed if she ever found out her sixteen almost seventeen years old son was already sexually active. His dad wouldn't say anything about it but blame his mom then compare him to Jessica. He thought Jessy was a good pretty princess, he didn't know her the way he did, the secrets he had kept for her, God they were too much. He parked the car and got down, his mother was walking over with Alex's mom, she smiled when she saw him.

'Jordan, look at you, you're a man'

'I know'

'You're so handsome, you look so much like your daddy now, I'm sure you got all these girls drooling, I missed you guys so much' she said pulling him into a bear hug

'What made you come back, I missed you too'

'I had to, its been months, I missed Xander, his sisters have been bullying him, I had to come to his rescue'

'You think mom, I could handle the girls, they were scared to even send me on an errand'

'I taught him well'

'Of course you did, and before I forget both of you, what did I say about buying roadside food' Jordan groaned, stupid Amelia couldn't keep her mouth shut, that's why he hated sisters.

'You can't blame us mom, the girls are annoying, instead of waiting for them to finish whatever stuff they're doing before someone can eat, just go to the junction' Alex shrugged

'Don't try that again, I mean it' his mom replied and she and Jordan's mom walked towards a group of women.

'I saw you talking to her, what happened' Alex said facing him

'Well, I didn't meet her, she met me. She apologized for not coming on Friday and she said she'll make up for it'

'And you trust her?'

'If I can trust you why can't i trust her, she seems good'

'Another Colette?'

'Nah, she's better, and I'm actually looking forward to spending time with her than when I was with other girls'

'So you're serious about her then'

'I guess so, Alexander am I making a good decision'

'You really want my opinion on this?'

'Yeah, that's why I asked you'

'Well, I don't think so, she looks like a reasonable girl, dude listen, whoever you want to date, I'm with you on it, I'm not gonna badmouth any girl you like, so if you like Tomika and you can handle her, go on I'm with you okay' that made Jordan smile.

'Thanks bro'

'Yeah, and don't you ever listen to Damien, he's crazy'

'I know' he replied and entered the car, all he wanted was for visiting to be over so he could meet her, whatever Alex was saying didn't matter to him, he silently prayed Alex wouldn't ask him the stupid question, are you even listening to me because he wasn't.

'Why do you even like that girl' Jessica said from the back seat

'Why do you need to know' Alex replied, she shrugged

'Just wanted to, I even liked Colette more than her'

'Well, I go crazy for girls who can put you in your place' Jessica scoffed

'She? She's not even in my league'

'Of course she isn't, she's higher than your league sis'

'That girl is going to be the end of you if you're not careful, you don't know Tomika Adekanye the way I do, that brat obsessed with purple'

'Meaning purple is my new favorite colour'

'Dude, I love you so much in white, don't make me hate you, I hate girly colours'

'Do you think I'm joking about this, has she ever thrashed you, she's a monster Jayjay, a purple one'

'That's cute actually' Jessica groaned

'I'm just glad she thrashed you too, I love her bad mouth'

'You're going to regret this Jayjay'

'Yeah, thanks'
