Tomika sat in refectory in anger. Yes she was furious, why would Iz Mbah do something like that, she didn't even know her, they weren't friends, they don't talk on a normal day, so why the hell did she pull that stunt. Her classmates weren't helping matter, each of them wanting to know her relationship with sp.

'Why did she say that, she's so childish' Kiki said in anger

'Abeg we nor join you talk o' Andrew replied

'Abeg e, which kin talk be that, and you claim she's your friend abi girlfriend'

'Tomika, you and Andrew are together'

'No. Do I date? Please you guys should stop disturbing me, my head is not here'

'She's even in our hostel, how are you going to avoid her sef' Mary Jane said and hissed. Just then, the entire refectory became silent, somebody was receiving beating on ss3 row. Everyone stretched trying to see the person who was receiving that kind of powerful beating.
'Don't let me get you standing, ss1 students rest your head' Freda shouted

'Freda will na do her own because she does not want to see what's happening too abi' Mia murmured and rested her head. Few minutes later, Claudia came to their table

'Where is Tomika?' Everyone raised their heads, Tomika had a confused face on as she saw Claudia, her face was swollen and her eyes were still glossy, that meant she was the one who received that beating some minutes ago.

'I'm here'

'Sp is calling you, he's outside'

'Ehn, no o, I can't come' Tomika replied resting her head

'Tomi please, he'll kill me if I don't come with you. Abeg I'm having head ache already' Claudia was begging, something she would never do, the tears were about to fall again. Tomika sighed and got up following her outside. Sp Jordan was actually outside waiting for them rather her.
'Thank you Claudia, Go and sit down and goan wash your face, I hate when girls are looking like this' Tomika frowned at his statement but excused Claudia to go to the tap. She washed her face and left, immediately she left
'Hey' he said, she ignored him and looked away. He sighed ' I thought as much'

'I don't mean to be rude but I have no other way to express my anger' she replied and looked away again, he shrug

'You have every right to be angry, I'm so so sorry for what happened. I didn't expect Izzy to say that.' He apologized to her, since when has he ever apologized to anyone.

'Its fine. I just want to know why she said that'

'Like I said, I have no idea. Is that why you couldn't even look at me earlier'

'How can I? I barely know you and that happened, my classmates aren't even helping matter'

'I know. I'm still sorry' she looked at him

'Its okay. I'm still surprised you apologized'

'When I know I did something wrong I have to apologize'

'Thanks' she said with a smile

'So, I heard you thrashed Damien one Thursday' she froze and looked down

'I'm sorry, and please help me tell senior Damien the same thing'

'I rather not. I'm really proud of you for doing that, you're really brave'

'I'm still sorry'

'I'm not going to punish you. What Damien did wasn't nice in his part' she sighed ' and I'm sure you hate him for that'

'Not just him, I actually hated all of you'

'Why, you can hate me not Alex especially' he replied with a smile

'I didn't like you that much because of Jessica' his  smile dropped

'Jessica?'

'Yeah'

'Ignore her, I hate her too' Tomika laughed 'I'm serious, she annoys every living part of me'

'It must be nice having a sibling'

'Are you fucking kidding me, I wish I were the only child'

'I wish I had siblings'

'You're the only child, I envy you'

'Its not as rosy as you think it is '  the bell rung for food to start

'We should stroll sometime, what do you say' she smiled

'I'll think about it'

'Don't over think it, tomorrow evening, I'll be front of chapel. I'll see you then' he said, she smiled and walked back inside ref to her seat.

She entered her hostel late that night, she had to finish her accounts assignment which was due the next morning. As she entered her hostel, Isabelle Mbah sat on her bed looking through a magazine.
'Uh.. Please excuse me sp Isabelle,' she looked up from the magazine,

'Oh, hey Tomika, where have you been, its almost 1O'

'I'm sorry, I had to finish my assignment, its due tomorrow' Isabelle nodded crossing her legs on the bed

'Your bed is so soft, do you like purple that much, everything is purple'

'Yeah, I do'

'That's cute. Are you just going to stand there, its your bed, come sit'  Tomika neverously sat beside her

'Is anything wrong?'

'No, not exactly, I just want to apologize for what I said in chapel today, I didn't mean it, it was just a joke'

'Its okay, sp Jordan already apologised for it' she looked shocked

'Jayjay can apologize?'

'He actually did and I'm okay'

'I'm glad to hear that. So do you like him?'

'Who?'

'You know who, jayjay' she frowned

'No, I barely know him'

'You can know him'

'No thanks'

'Hey, I know its because you think he's a player, he can be a good boy too you know'

'I'd rather just admire him from a distance'

'Think about it okay' Isabelle said and left her corner. What was that about. Her mind went back to Jordan " don't over think it, tomorrow I'll be in front of chapel " he had asked her for a stroll and she accepted and now she's here telling Isabelle she doesn't like him. Well, its just a stroll, it didn't mean anything. MJ entered the hostel just as Isabelle left,

'What is going on, Tomi are you keeping secrets'

'No, I'm not, why would I?'

'Oh I don't know, I should ask you that'

'She only came to apologize okay' Mary Jane sighed and dropped her bucket under her bed

'So where have you been?'

'Assignments, we are submitting tomorrow'

'I wish I had your stamina Tomi'

'And just what are you talking about'

'You read a lot, do assignments on your own' Tomika got up

'I'm going to have my bath if you don't mind' she said taking her bucket and robe.

'I'm serious Tomi' MJ shouted behind her

'I don't care' Tomika shouted back
