Barian King Théoden

Origin of Idea: Yugioh Arc-V/Lord of the Rings

Human Name: Tristan

Barian Name: Théoden

Deck Profile: Heroic Challengers/Champions

Ace Monster: Number 108: Heroic Champion - Théngel

Description: I originally made this character as a Male Reader insert character that I put into a poll against the Female Reader character that is now in Shadow's Fortune. I decided to just make an actual character to see what you guys think of him.

History: Tristan was a huge nerd for Yugioh and Lord of the Rings. When he was young and first getting into Yugioh, he watched Théoden and his Rohirrim charge for the first time. As a result, he was completely enthralled with the concept of knights. His favorite summoning method was Xyz since the idea of the materials helping the Xyz monsters to use its power intrigued him. So, he chose to go with Heroic Challengers as his choice of weapon.

Personality: Tristan is as noble and honorable as they come. Seeing Théoden and Aragorn were his childhood heroes and role models, he pursued those same traits as they displayed during the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Do not pursue power for selfish gain, defend those who cannot defend themselves, and always fight with honor were Tristan's tenants. He is probably the last one to uphold chivalry, even in the search for his "maiden".

Appearance:

          • Human: Just under six feet in height (he's a tall boy) with slightly tanned skin. Wears simple shirts with basic colors with some gold patterning, blue jeans, and black boots. He has medium brown hair and green eyes. When he uses some of his Barian power, his left eyes gains a wing-like pattern in a royal purple color and turns red in color.

          • Barian: His skin tone changes to that of a dark gold. His hair becomes more blonde in coloration when he is in his Barian form. He has a brown colored kama around his waist accented with a blue gem as a kind of belt buckle. A lighter brown cape hangs from his shoulders similar to Nasch's (note: it can be removed and given to someone. All Barian clothing is made from their human clothing).

Notes: Unlike the Barians from Zexal, Tristan did not take on the mantle of Emperor. He felt as though he was not deserving to stand on the same level as them. As a new Barian in a new world, Tristan decided to give himself a new title. One that isn't as extravagant as "Emperor", but just as powerful. Hence why he calls himself the Barian King for he is the first Barian to grace the dimension of ARC-V.

Famous Line: "Our numbers may be few, and we may not achieve victory... But we shall meet them in battle nonetheless. So let this be the hour which we draw swords together."

Rest in peace, Bernard Hill. Thank you for gracing my childhood and young adult years as Théoden, King of Rohan. May you find your way to the halls of your fathers. I ask you to take time to watch the video below. In his honor.

Hail the victorious dead.
