"Vee! I have my first match today, I will be late in the evening.", Keya said as she exited the house.
"Okay Sweetie, I am meeting a friend tonight I will be late, take your keys along.", she said handing her the keys.
"Vee?", Keya asked in shock.
"I am sorry, making of the second set of keys took so long.", she said with a smile.
"Are you sure?", she asked taking the keys in her hand.
"Yes, You are my daughter and this is your home." , she said patting Keya's shoulder.
"Vee! You are the best! I love you!", she said hugging her.

It was one month since she joined college and now she desperately needed a job, she couldn't ask for money from Vee and all her job savings from india were running out.
Today after the match she has to find a job, it doesn't matter now where she works.
"Zee! Wassup?", she said hugging Zee from behind and lifting her off the ground.
"K, you scared me!", Zahra said turning around and hugging her.
"Where is the idiot?", she asked.
"He is with Aarav, he is coming.", she replied.

Sam and Keya had become good friends, Zahra and Sam had also started to become close, though they never admitted.
Aarav and Keya, teased and irritated each other a lot with stupid pranks.
Keya and Sonali had also become close friends.

"Hey!", Sam said side hugging Zahra and fist bumping Keya.
"Hi Hothead!", Aarav said smacking on Keya's arm.
"Hi Asshole.", she replied pulling his hair.
"Will you two ever talk like normal humans?", Sam asked.
"There should be a human to talk to. Who is the human except me?", Aarav asked.
"Nope, I am the human, you are a baboonhead!", Keya said making a face.

"You have a match today right?", Sam asked.
"Yes.", Keya said excitedly.
"Oh really?! I really want to come and see but then what if you get distracted from the game seeing my hotness?", Aarav said dramatically.
"You see that shoe of mine? Its way hotter than you.", she said rolling eyes and moving to her class.

"Hi Aarav!", Sonali said excitedly.
"Hi Sona.", Aarav said hugging her.
They had been hitting on each other a lot  and were on the verge of being in a relationship.
"I am back, idiot!", Aarav said sitting next to Keya in the class.
"Where is Sonali?", she asked.
"Oh, she doesn't feel like attending the lecture today.", he said said shrugging.
"Oh okay. Then go be with her, what are you doing here?", Keya said with a teasing smile.
Aarav just rolled his eyes.
"Aarav, she is a nice girl. Really likes you.", Keya said with a genuine smile now.
"And Sona must have told you to do this.", Aarav said smirking.
"Whatever it be, you two completely complement each other!", she said excitedly.
"Babe, I am not promising anything permanent.", Aarav said shrugging.
"You get in that relationship first, I will see that it stays.", Keya said.
The professor came later on.
"Also am not your babe.", Keya said rolling her eyes.

The class completed an hour after and then Keya was about to proceed for her warm up session before match.

"Hothead!", he called out holding her wrist.
"Ouch!", Keya immediately took back her hand.
"You got hurt just by my keeping a hand on your wrist?", he asked raising a brow.
"You held it so strongly!", Keya argued not meeting eyes with him.
"Keya I just held your hand! Not even pressed or anything, with any other girl I could expect such a reaction but you seemed to be a toughie!", He said not believing in her words.
"I am late I have a match!", She said changing the topic.
"Okay go! Bye, don't let the team loose because of you.", he said smirking to which she showed him both her middle fingers.

They just needed one more basket and they would win.
Keya was already a star player.
She took the ball from the opposite team player and dribbled it to her basket and threw the ball.
They won!
Everyone cheered and celebrated, team members hugged Keya and congratulated her.
She went into the changing room and to her locker to get her clothes.
"Keya Mittal!", one typical Australian accent called out.
Keya turned around to see, Julia Smith.
Julia was another star player of the team and was one snobby person, although she was close to Aarav and his so called acquaintances.
"Yes?", Keya asked.
"Don't start to think of yourself as a star, Like there can only be one queen and thats me!", she said snarkily.
Keya started laughing, "Who even wants to be like you?!"
"Well, your best friend Sonali maybe, she just roams around here and there like a little puppy of mine all the time.", Julia said with much attitude.
"Don't try to shit about my friends here. Let me Leave.", Keya said shoving her aside.
"Whatever, tomboy.", Julia said rolling her eyes.
"What was the bitch talking about?", Zahra asked.
"Nothing. The usual, don't try to take my place shit, insecure idiots.", Keya said shrugging.
"You are coming to the Waffle Cafe tonight right?", Sam asked about their usual hangout spot.
"Nope. Have some work.", she said.
She had to go find a job.
"Okay, if you get free early by any chance, We will be there.", Zahra said.
"Sure.", she said with a smile.

She had looked out for some advertisements in the newspaper and two or three grocery shops.
She ventured out to the first convenience store, which had the best pay out of all.

She entered to this store and asked for the store manager.
She was lead into the office and the manager gave her the job. She came out and the manager briefed her about the work.
"Keya?", A familiar voice called out.
Keya turned around to see Aarav standing at one of the stands, picking up some groceries.
He looked at the manager and smirked.
"Keya? Are you here for shopping as well? It is so great to know that you have finally got a rid of your drug addiction. I am so proud of you.", Aarav blabbered before hugging her.
"Drug addiction?", the manager asked.
"No sir nothing like that, he is just a friend trying to mess up with me.", Keya said stammering a little.
"No miss. I can't let drug addicts handle the store. Sorry.", he said rolling eyes moved in.
"Sir! Please listen, Sir!", Keya kept calling but the manager didn't listen.

Aarav smirked and she stormed out of the store.
Aarav came in two minutes later to see Keya sitting outside the store on a bench with her head on her lap.
He went and sat beside her.
"You want drugs, Druggy?", he joked.

"AARAV KOHLI! Every godamn thing is not a joke! Somethings in life are not a joke! You might be filthy rich or shit but some of us have to work our asses off to survive and sustain! You tried to rag me I played along, you tried to throw me out of the class on first day it was cool, we argued, debated, bantered, everything was okay and fun but don't you ever dare to get in my personal life after college! GET THAT?", She bursted, venting whole of her anger out.

Aarav was taken aback.
"Woah! Chill, look Keya, I didn't mean to invade in your personal life or not want you to get a job but that place is not right. I played it like a prank to get you out of that place.", Aarav said.
"Why?", Keya asked curiously.
"A friend of mine worked there, the people are not right. They offer high pay to lure girls. Thats why Keya.", he cleared up.
"Oh..Oh..Umm..Thanks I guess?", Keya said with a sad smile.
"You want a job, right?", Aarav asked.
She nodded.
"Are you free after your lectures tomorrow?", Aarav asked.
"Yeah, Why?", she asked.
"We are going to get you a job.", Aarav said smirking.
"Aarav you don't have to do this..", Keya said in a small voice.
"I am not doing you a favour, I have to do that place a favour.", he said.
"That means?", Keya asked confused.
"You will know tomorrow.", he said winking.
"Care to join me at Waffle Cafe?", he asked getting up.
"Okay.", she said with a small smile.
"So, friends?", He asked extending a hand.
"Friends.", Keya said shaking hands with him.
"So tell me a little about yourself.", he said.
"As in? You are going to take my job interview?", Keya asked jokingly.
"No idiot. If we are friends I atleast need to know about you.", he said rolling his eyes.
"What do you want to know?", she asked, playing with her fingers, very unusual for Keya.
"The usual, your family and routine..", Aarav said.
"Family is the usual like anyone else. And you know my routine. What more?", she said shrugging and continued, "Tell me about you."
"Aarav Kohli, 24, mom dad live in Mumbai, I plan to do something of my own and settle here. And I always want Sidhi baat no bakwaas!", he introduced chuckling at the end.
"I second to that thought.", she said laughing.
"You don't have a girly laugh at all.", Aarav commented.
"Atleast I don't have the laugh like the girls you talk to.", she said with sass.
"True that, they hurt my ears.", he said sighing.
"Umm.. Keya I gave in a thought to Sonali's matter. I am in. Should I take her to her dorm post our hangout at Cafe?", he asked.
"Yes! I am so happy already!", she said doing a mini dance on the footpath earning puzzled looks from onlookers.
"I don't know you!", he said laughing.
"Whatever. Smile, Laugh, Dance and Eat whenever you can and you want to! Trust me! You will love it!", She said smiling.

"Keya the best part about you is you are always so positive and happy! Never lose that.", he smiled and said.
They reached The Waffle Cafe and chilled with everyone for about two hours, Keya somehow found Aarav's attempt to make her find a job genuine and was ready to give it a shot the next day.
As soon as everyone got up to leave, "Sona, how are you going to the dorm?", Aarav asked.
"Walking.", she said.
"Cool, let me walk you till there.", he said.
"Wow.", Sam murmured.
"Anything special?", Zahra asked.
"No, I would walk down any girl at this hour. Its not safe you know.", Aarav reasoned.
"Even Keya is going alone.", Sam said.
"Hothead can handle herself. Someone who might attack her should be the one to be scared!", he said jokingly.
Keya rolled her eyes at Aarav, picking up her bagpack to leave and winked at Aarav, mouthing 'all the best' in a way no one else could see.
