Far From Vacation 🐙 Tom Holland

The windows clouded over as you placed your heavy bags down in front of you, taking in the fresh scents that surrounded you. You were spending your weekend with your three best friends, Molly, Dan and Tom. It was supposed to be an all girls weekend, but Sophie and Megan called in 'sick' so Molly bought her boyfriend and you bought Tom. You weren't together, but he's a step down from all your girlfriends.

"God it's freezing outside!" Molly groaned as she rolled her last suitcase into the living room, tinting her sunglasses back onto her nose as she looked around the room. "We're staying for the weekend how long did you pack for?" You giggled at the amount of bags Molly had hauled with her. She was your typical college major, thriving of the popularity wave and living her life to the fullest. She was the centre of both your groups, always being the eye of the storm, as this 'vacation' cabin was hers parents too.

"You know a girl always come's prepared, Y/N" she smiled as she shrugged her jacket off, tossing it onto the couch. "Well, every girl accept for my Y/N" she smiled. Tom followed in slowly with Dan who were carrying most of Molly's smaller bags along with their own things. You walked towards the door, helping the guys offload as Molly ventured upstairs.

"Holy shit this place is huge!" Tom smiled as he span around in the middle of the living room, his eyes wandering over the high ceiling and large chandelier. You nodded in agreement, letting out a short 'mmhm'. Dan rolled most of the bags over to the kitchen and began unpacking as you walked over to the window, Tom close on your tail. "You think we'll have that storm everyone's been talking about?" You asked as you tilted your head to the side to get a better view of the sky. Tom gave a light shrug "I hope not, but then again, imagine if we got snowed in wouldn't that be so cool?"

"Don't temp fate, Holland" You gave him a light push on the shoulder "Don't you remember what happened when you were teasing Mr. Barnwell about his physics experiment going wrong, and then it actually did?" You giggled remembering back to the day.

"You and your theories" he smiled, backing away and over to the couch.

"Ok ladies and gentle men, I think it's time we sort sleeping arrangements" Molly boomed as she came down stairs, her heeled boots clicking against the freshly polished floor boards. You tucked your hands into your pockets as you took a seat on the edge of the couch beside Tom's head, Dan walking back into the living room.

"Well it's obvious you two will be together, me and Y/N will take the two spare rooms" Tom gestured towards Molly and Dan, his hand rested on her hip gently.

"Two spare rooms, Tom there are only two master bedrooms i'm not made of money" Molly laughed gently. "Looks like your gonna have to share" she continued to tease. Molly had been teasing you and Tom for almost three years about how you played off as 'more than friends', when in fact you were nothing more than just buddies. Molly took Dan by the hand and led him upstairs to unpack.

"I can take the floor?" You suggested as you took a seat on the opposite side of the couch. Tom shook his head at you, rolling his eyes. "We both knew this was gonna happen at some point"

"What are you talking about?" You giggled.

"Well Molly always finds a way to shove us in an awkward situation, I don't expect you to take the floor it's a king size bed"

"Okay" You smiled, feeling the heat rise to your cheeks for no apparent reason. The room was suddenly filled by the sound of thunder crashing in the background, making your chest flutter with excitement as your adrenaline shot sky high. You span around to look out the window, large and thick flakes of snow falling from the darkening clouds above.

"There's that storm they were talking about" Tom sniggered looking over at you. You rolled your eyes at him and reached over for your bag, pulling out the handle and pulled it upstairs.

🧣

As the night approached, things were starting to settle in a little and you were getting used to the navigation of the rather large cabin, only getting lost about three times. Although you were glad to be so far away from society for once, you couldn't help but feel slightly isolated. It was strange to look down at your phone and not see endless amounts of notifications blowing up your screen (Cant relate). It took you a while to unpack as for once you took your time, making sure everything was neat and in it's place before everyone headed to bed.

You were in the bathroom when Tom came to bed, so he made you jump slightly too see him cross legged on the matress, nose down in his phone.

"How have you got signal out here?" You asked as you moved your pillows down to the end of the bed, plumping them up a little.

"I haven't, i'm just looking through old photo's" he smiled as he came across one which lit his chest up with butterflies. You nodded, placing your own phone on the floor and digging down under the sheets. The snow fall cast dark shadows along the carpet as your eyes travelled to the ground. Watching them felt so therapeutic, so heavenly and soon you felt your eyes drifting into a slumber.

As your eyes began to close, your ears heightened to the constant banging above your head, your eyes shooting back open as you heard the occasional curse word. You sat up in bed, both you and Tom catching each other's eyes. "You've got to be kidding me" You groaned, slamming your head down into the bed sheets, leaving Tom to die in a fit of laughter. "When your in the mood your in the mood" Tom commented, making you cringe. "They had to pick tonight though?" you groaned, running a hand through your hair. "I'm never going to sleep"

That soon proved to be a lie as you found yourself suddenly woken again by the flash of lightening outside your window, followed by a few seconds of thunder in the clouds. Your heart was racing in the darkness, your head burrowed under the sheets. You'd slept soundly for around five hours, whats the occasion? You felt suddenly vulnerable, the only sound was your racing heartbeat which pounded in your ears, sending you slightly dizzy. You dared not to move for a few seconds, before another flash appeared at your window. You almost flew out of your skin in pure fear. You had a pet hate for loud noises.

"Y/N?" You heard a faint whisper come from the top of the bed. You lowered the sheets slightly, revealing Tom, who seemed wide awake still, looking over at you. "Yeah?"

"You alright, your breathing pretty heavy?"

You gulped slightly, closing your eyes as your nose flared and you tried to calm your heartbeat.

"Tom?"

"Yeah?"

"I know this is gonna sound stupid... But... Can you- Can you hold me?" Your heart jumped up into your throat as the words fell from your lips, feeling suddenly embarrassed.

"Sure" he replied happily. You moved from your dint in the bed, bringing the pillows to the top. Tom lifted the sheets lightly and you slid beneath them. As you did so, yet another crash came from outside the window, making your whole body fly against Tom, your head buried in his chest as your heart began pounding against your own. He shushed you gently, his hand rubbing your back as he protected you from the noises. You hated them.

His soft touch and little shushes lulled you back to sleep, all the while your nose was filled with the scent from Tom, making your stomach flutter and certainly didn't stop your heart from racing.

🧣

The morning approached quickly, however at the same time... Very abruptly. You were woken to the sound of Dan pounding your bedroom door down, claiming we had a 'serious issue'. Tom groaned as he left the bed, leaving an empty space beside you which you wished he would stay and fill. "What is it?" Tom croaked as he opened the door, rubbing his eyes in the process.

"We're snowed in!" Dan looked pale as a white bed sheet, scared even. Tom looked back at you with wide eyes.

"I think we can both agree, the next time you joke about something, it's going to fucking happen Holland!"

"What, this is my fault now?" he chuckled, throwing a pillow at you, sending you flying back down against the mattress. Dan gave up and headed back to his own room, Tom heading back over to the window after closing the door.

"Well, he wasn't lying, we are most certainly snowed in" he sniggered. You rolled your eyes looking up at the ceiling. You felt the bed sink as Tom sat next to you. "So someone's scared of lightening" he teased, making you look over at him angrily.

"Don't fucking start, it was so loud!" You defended your ground, as was surprised when Tom agreed. "Besides, someone wasn't so hesitant to let me cuddle them last night" you teased back. Tom threw a pillow over your face and headed downstairs, leaving you with way too many thoughts racing through your mind.

You descended from the warm bed sheets and decided to change into some regular clothes before heading downstairs for your morning coffee. Molly was already in the kitchen with Dan, running through some solutions of what to do.

"Morning" You smiled as you pushed the kettle timer down and it began to rumble. Molly waved at you with a smile before turning back to Dan. Tom was seated in the living room, watching something on TV.

"Coffee?" you shouted over to him, he nodded polightly, so you pulled out another cup.

Before the kettle could finish boiling, it was cut short, the light switching off and the hinge flicking upwards. You eyed it strangely, gingerly resting your fingers over the button again. The noise from the TV in the background suddenly cut out and the lights dimmed to a close. Molly span around with Dan, looking between you and Tom.

"What's going on?" Molly asked, gripping onto Dan's arm. Tom came into the kitchen, the same confused look on his face. "Look's like the powers out" You sighed heavily, looking around the darkened room, trying some light switches but having no luck. Luckily the day was still fresh, so you had at least 11 hours of daylight before you plummeted back down into darkness.

"Where's the fuse box?" Tom asked, running a hand through his hair. "It's outside somewhere"

"Ill go check"

"Yeah i'll come with" you followed Tom towards the door, slipping your ugg boots on. Tom tried the handle, twisting the metal firmly. But it wouldn't budge. He gave you a confused look before trying again. The door was truly jammed. Great. "So if we can't get out what are we supposed to do?"

"Isn't that what being snowed in is all about?" You smiled weakly. The situation was an awkward one, as you weren't exactly planning on staying any longer than the weekend, but then again, no college on Monday right?

You and Tom headed back into the living room where Dan and Molly were gathering some blankets together and tucking them down into the couch, the quilts from upstairs now spread out amongst the ground.

"Well, if we are basically stranded here we might as well have a bit of fun" Molly smiled, the smile of a 'Molly plan'. She waved a bottle of Tequila in her hand, bringing a smile to your lips. It had been a while since you'd had the chance to have a popper drink, with college getting in the way of your social life.

"So, who's up for a round of Truth or Drink?" Molly smirked, pouring out some shots onto the table. You shrugged with a smile, pulling Tom to sit next to you on the cushioned quilt, your back leaning against the couch as you sat with your legs spaced out in front of you on the floor.

🧣

Now, everything was in place, including the excitement that continued to build in your stomach. There wasn't exactly a way to possibly 'win' a game of truth or drink, but you'd had classed yourself as a winner ever since you and Molly began this game together almost a year ago. You were an open book and not easily embarrassed, so if anything came up you'd take it no problemo.

"So who's first?" You asked, looking around the rather small circle. "Me, me!" Molly sat forward onto her knees, bracing her feet beneath her as her eyes travelled around the circle. They firstly landed on Tom, his hands shifting in his lap as Molly cooked up a good enough question in her head. Molly had a certain way of playing Truth or Drink, as she only ever played by her own rules; Dirty Questions and detailed Dirty Secrets.

"Have you ever sent a dick pick to anyone?" she smirked, rolling her tongue inside her cheek.

"Maybe?" Tom smirked back, playing Molly at her game, throwing her a little off guard. You tensed a little at the reply. You weren't jealous, but you had always had something for Tom. You never took the opportunity, because you never thought you needed too.

"What?! Who?" Molly demanded an answer as she was suddenly intrigued. Tom shook his head, refusing to reply and took a shot glass from the table, downing it in one go. Molly rolled her eyes with defeat.

"Ok Tom, your turn" You nudged him playfully. He thought about it for a moment, his lips pouting as his mind clicked and turned in search for a decent answer.

"How old were you when you dropped the V card?" he turned to you slightly, a small glint of heat rising to your cheeks. You were usually fine playing this game, but playing with someone you had slight feelings for made you want to crease up into a ball and hide.

"16, I thought you guys knew that?" You looked around the circle confused. Molly nodded her head, of course she knew, but apparently the boys didn't.

"Well, now we do" he shrugged, looking over at Dan who got the idea.

"Ok, Molly, if I asked you, would you kiss me?" he smirked. Molly rolled her eyes, as did yourself and Tom. "You know I would, baby" she smiled, leaning over and embracing Dan in a heart filled kiss. Tom began to make vomiting sounds jokingly, making you crack into a ball of laughter. Molly eyed you daringly, a light bulb breaking with excitement over her head. She began to remove the shot glasses from the table, placing them on the floor in front of her.

"Okay then, Y/N. I dare you to kiss Tom"

"What?" You and Tom said in sync, moving away from each other lightly.

"Oh come on, just once you know you want to"

You didn't want to reply with 'No I really don't' for two obvious reasons, 1. being the fact that it would hurt Toms feelings for someone to reject him, you knew it would hurt you if he said the same, and 2. being the fact that if you said it, you'd be lying.

"Molly just leave it if she doesn't wan-"

"No, it's fine, it's just a kiss right?" you smiled awkwardly, looking over at Tom. He shrugged, taking a deep breath as he leaned over to you. His scent filled your nose as he reached your lips, his being soft and gentle against your own. Your heart felt like it was ready to explode as you felt a hand grip your side gently.

"Wohoo get it girl!" Molly yelled as Tom pulled away gently. You opened your eyes for a second, expecting Tom to have backed away, but almost fell backwards as his grip on your leg tightened and his lips pressed back against your own. You savoured the moment slowly, mentally remembering his scent, the taste of fresh Tequila on his tongue.

He pulled away from you gently, sitting back against the couch, leaving you a little flustered up. "Quite finished?" Dan smirked, Tom jabbing him in the side. You lay back against the couch, your hands sliding beneath you. Molly and Dan leaned into each other gently, like the spare of the moment pulled them together and got lost within one another. You rolled your head back against the couch as they got a little too intimate for you to handle.

"Hey, you ok?" Tom laughed a little as he realised the situation. "They're at it again"

"Yep and i'm out" You yelled at them, but they simply ignored you and carried on their make out session. You jumped to your feet, heading for the stairs when you noticed Tom was close on your tail. You left it for a moment, figuring he was heading for the bathroom, until he followed you to your shared bedroom for the weekend.

"Everything ok?" he asked as he sat down on the bed, you nodding your head in response. There was a shared silence between you, before Tom interrupted abruptly.

"You weren't bad you know"

"What?"

"The kiss... It was.. Kinda nice" he smiled, luckily his back was facing you so he couldn't see the tremendous heat rising to your cheeks as you stood there a little flustered. You sat beside him on the bed, the sheets slowly sinking as you did so. He looked over at you, your eyes meeting for a second before his travelled down to your lips. There wasn't another word spoken before his nose crashed against your cheek and the moment from earlier replayed over again. His hand travelled to the back of your head, holding you in place as he panted behind your lips, completely lost in your scent.

You gripped his shoulder lightly, massaging your hand into the fabric of his shirt and he backed away slowly. "Sorry- I-"

"No, it's fine" you let out a gentle laugh.

"I-I've kinda wanted to do that for a while" he blushed wildly, making your chest explode with butterflies. You smiled, kissing him on the cheek gently.

The shirt and peaceful silence was broken with Toms phone alerting a notification.f You exchanged a confused look before Tom picked up his phone.

"I've got one bar of signal!"

"Freedom!" You yelled with a smile, maybe now you could call someone to get out of here.

"Y/N?"

"Yeah?"

"When we get out of here, would you maybe wanna go for a coffee?" He asked gingerly. You smiled.

"I'd love that"
