The water was cold as I slipped into the large swimming pool. I dipped my feet for a while before slowly sinking into the cold. I jolted forward slightly, unbalancing myself and falling forward a little too quickly. Luckily, Bradley was there to catch me, his warm arms wrapping around my waist.

I looked up to him and smiled. His big brown eyes were coated with happiness. I wrapped my legs around him, hanging my arms over his neck as my stomach pressed against his chest. I could feel his heart beating through my swim suit.

"So, how are things with your dad?" I asked, breaking the silence, yet it wasn't awkward. He took a deep breath. "Yeah, we're ok I guess" He looked down to the shallow end of the pool to see Elliot and Caleb mucking around. Elliot caught Bradley's eye and gestured him to come down to the shallows.

I placed my hand on his cheek, pulling his head back towards me. He turned his head sharply, shocking me a little. I smiled, planting my lips on his. His movement was soft and sweet as he pulled me closer to him. I pulled away slowly, pushing off of him and allowing myself to float. "Come on, you'll be fine" I gestured him to follow me. He bit the inside of his lip before swimming after me.

As we reached the shallow end, I stood up and sat on the side of the pool, Caleb glancing at me. "Hey Monkey" I waved and splashed water over at him. He giggled. "Hey Jamie, it's been a while" he smiled weakly. I nodded. It had been a long time since we had seen each other.

"Look, kids. I know what I did and what I did was wrong but are you really gonna hold a grudge on me?" Elliot sighed, walking over to us. Bradley stood in between my legs, letting me lean against his cold back. Elliot had come here out of his way with Caleb, now that he wasn't given permission to see Bradley anymore. Me and Bradley decided to come and see him to maybe settle some things and maybe it could work.

As Bradley walked forward slightly, it revealed the large gash on the lower right side. The scar was still red and would never heal. My heart broke when I saw it. It took my breath away to remember those things that happened that weekend. "No" I said looking over at Elliot.

Elliot gave me a strange look, followed by the boys. "Not after what you did to Brad" I said, tears threatening to spill as I bit my tongue. He shrugged with annoyance. "Ellie don't you dare you know that was an accident-"
"An accident? Really?!" I scoffed and pulled myself out of the pool, walking along the side back to the changing room. "Ellie?" I heard Caleb sad voice come from the pool. I stopped, looking over at him. His poor face, looking at Bradley, his head down and slowly climbing out the pool. I couldn't do it. I ran into the changing area.

Although this way the girls room, Bradley followed me in. No one was in here anyway, it was too early. I sat down on the bench, resting my head against the wall. I felt Bradley's hands on mine, sitting in front of me. "I don't know what to do anymore, Brad" I said, opening my eyes and looking at him. He sat beside me on the bench, pulling me into his lap. I cuddled him tightly, resting my head on the rim of his neck and he placed his head on my shoulder.

"You did everything you could have, Ellie. That's why I love you" he rocked our body's gently. I felt him place a small kiss on my neck, sending shivers down my spine. I smiled, a tear slipping down my cheek. "Let's go home" I whispered. He nodded, slipping me off him slowly.
