The kidnapped lover (Tom Holland)
Requested by Jgavinaz: Tom and Y/N have been dating for a few months. One day, Tom can't get a hold of Y/N because she's been kidnapped by a couple of people who want to hit hard at Tom because they're jealous of his life, and want money. They make it known to Tom that they have Y/N, and that they'll hurt her if he doesn't do what they say.
*Couple of little things:
1. This chapter contains the reader being assaulted. It is mild assault and there is NO sexual assault involved, but just to make you aware that it does contain some mild assault of the reader.
2. Due to the request, I've been quite mean about Tom lol when needed, OBVIOUSLY I don't mean it, what I've written is just to fit the context, and I know that y'all will understand it when you get to it lol.
3. I'd hope that no one would think that this is me commenting on the behaviour of Tom's fans (especially considering I myself am a fan lmao) so please just remember that this is a fanfiction, and whilst yes, every celebrity has those fans who go way too far, I am in no way calling out every fan or anything like that.
That is all, thank you my loves, and enjoy :)*
"So, you doing anything fun today, beautiful?" Tom asked, the pair of us on facetime as I walked around my apartment and sorted stuff out absentmindedly.
"Nah, just sorting out the apartment, it's a bit of a shithole. What about you, Tommy?" I asked as I looked at the gorgeous chocolate eyes and beautiful hazel curls that I had somehow landed. Though to be honest, I still had no idea how that had happened.
"The press tour for 'The Crowded Room' starts today, so will be doing press for that. Though I'd rather be with you, darling, I miss you." He smiled at me through the screen. My heart fluttered at his words, my lips curling into a wide smile as we stared contently at each other through the call. I had met Tom completely by accident four months ago, me having been in the same cafe as him coincidentally whilst he was at home in Kingston. Being completely star-struck, I had asked for a selfie, which Tom had happily complied with. As soon as his hand had landed on my waist, I had felt the electricity, Tom also having clearly felt it too as he gave me his number immediately after we'd taken the first photo together. We'd had a few casual dates in the following month, but it had quickly become obvious that we were going to become serious, and that we were it for each other. We hadn't labelled it yet, purely because of Tom's career and spotlight, and the fact that I was just a nobody who wasn't famous in any sense of the word. Despite not having labelled it yet, we had been photographed by the paparazzi holding hands and kissing, and so Tom had announced that he was seeing me a week ago now, he just hadn't officially called me his girlfriend yet. But I knew how Tom felt about me, and that was enough. It always would be.
"Darling, shit, I've got to go, they're about to start filming me. Talk to you later, my love, yeah?" He checked, making me nod as I started to head into my living room.
"Yeah, Tommy, can't wait-." I looked up, and immediately my heart plummeted to my feet. My eyes widened, my mouth drying up in an instant at the sight of the two masked men who were standing in my living room. With a gun pointed right at my head.
"Hang up, now." One of them mumbled quietly, my eyes wavering and my heart pounding like it never had before in my life as he cocked the gun.
"I, um-talk later, bye, Tom." I gulped before quickly hanging up on him and dropping my phone out of sheer fear.
"Do what we say, and we won't need to hurt you." The guy without the gun shook his head as he rushed towards me and harshly grabbed my bicep.
"Please just take whatever you want, I don't have much but you can take it all, please just don't hurt me." I choked and shook my head, my heart in my throat almost choking me and tears leaving my eyes as he pulled me harshly to the guy with the gun, the weapon still pointed at me.
"We're not robbing you, bitch. You are what we're taking." He spat. My eyes widened again, the pair of them forcing me out of my apartment as my brain still couldn't comprehend what was happening. Surely I wasn't being kidnapped right now, surely fucking not. Surely this was some kind of sick joke, maybe one of Tom's fucked-up fans thinking that it would be a good practical joke, due to the fact that we'd only come clean about our relationship last week. But the very real gun held to my head, plus the pair of them harshly pulling me out of my apartment building and towards a blacked-out car, only made me more terrified for my life.
Tom's P.O.V
"So, you doing anything fun today, beautiful?" Tom asked, him and Y/N on facetime as his beautiful girlfriend-to-be walked around her apartment and sorted stuff out whilst they talked.
"Nah, just sorting out the apartment, it's a bit of a shithole. What about you, Tommy?" She asked in return as Tom looked into the gorgeous eyes that he'd fallen in love with.
"The press tour for 'The Crowded Room' starts today, so will be doing press for that. Though I'd rather be with you, darling, I miss you." He smiled at her through the screen. Her lips also curled into a wide smile as they stared contently at each other through the call. The pair had met completely by accident four months ago, Y/N having been in the same cafe that Tom had just absentmindedly walked into on his day off when he was back home. Of course he hadn't walked in expecting to meet the love of his life, but that was exactly what had happened. Y/N had asked for a selfie, which Tom had happily complied with. As soon as his hand had landed on her waist, Tom had felt the electricity, and Y/N had clearly felt it too as she had happily accepted his number right after. Tom had hoped at the time that she wasn't just accepting it because he was famous, but she had proven that not to be the case in the time that they'd been together so far. The pair had had a few casual dates in the following month, whenever Tom had had the time, but it had quickly become obvious that they were going to become serious, and that they were it for each other. The pair hadn't labelled it yet, purely because of Tom's career and spotlight, and the fact that he didn't want Y/N to get any kind of negative attention for being with him, so whilst they had announced that they were seeing each other a week ago now, Tom wasn't calling her his girlfriend yet. Though secretly, he knew that she was. She was it for him. Tom looked up, his heart sinking slightly as he saw the cameras start to turn on in front of him, meaning that he was about to start the interview. And he'd had to say goodbye to Y/N.
"Darling, shit, I've got to go, they're about to start filming me. Talk to you later, my love, yeah?" He checked, making her nod.
"Yeah, Tommy, can't wait-." Y/N looked up and immediately, her eyes widened, making Tom's eyebrows furrow in concern.
"Love, you okay?" He checked, though she didn't seem to hear him as she just stared at whatever had caught her attention.
"I, um-talk later, bye, Tom." She gulped before quickly hanging up on him, making Tom's eyes widen.
"What-darling, what the fuck?" He gulped, the boy suddenly getting a really bad feeling as he tried to facetime her again. The phone continued to just ring this time, making him shake his head and groan quietly as he hung up and went to text her instead:
Tom: Are you okay, love?? Please text me just to tell me you're okay. Got me worried a little x.
Tom sighed and put his phone away, the boy not being able to do much more at this point. After all, he was about to start work, and so as much as he wanted to check that she was okay, he couldn't justify pushing back the interview on what was a hunch right now. Tom gulped and tried to compose himself, the boy deciding that if he didn't hear back from Y/N by the end of his two-hour long interview, he'd go around to her apartment or something. He just needed her to be okay. And right now, he wasn't convinced that she was.
Tom: Darling, are you okay? X. (delivered, 12:35pm)
Tom: Please, my love, just one text to tell me that you're okay x. (delivered, 1:55pm)
Tom: Y/N, please, I'm getting really worried about you x. (delivered, 5:00pm)
Tom gulped harshly and looked at the string of messages that he'd sent Y/N, none of them having been answered. The boy wasn't the clingy type and so usually he wasn't fussed if Y/N didn't respond to him super quickly, but she'd always let him know if she couldn't reply, and that combined with the fact that she had hung up so abruptly made Tom really think that something was wrong. Something was really wrong.
"You okay, mate?" Tom looked up as Harrison walked into the hotel room, the boy sighing and shaking his head in response.
"No, Haz, I'm not. I haven't heard from Y/N at all today, which would be fine if she hadn't hung up so abruptly after seeing something that clearly shocked her." Tom scoffed.
"Huh, that is weird. But I'm sure that she's fine, she's probably just busy or something, she'll get back to you when she can." Harrison shrugged. Tom sighed and gulped, his mind wanting to believe that Y/N was okay, and was just too busy to have gotten back to him yet. But then his phone buzzed, eliminating all hope that Tom had held.
"Fuck, it's Y/N." He gulped as he quickly opened the text message.
"See? I told you that she was going to be okay!" Harrison beamed as he put his hand on Tom's shoulder and looked at the screen. But as soon as they both saw the message, Harrison's smile dropped.
"Oh, fuck." Harrison gulped, tears pricking Tom's eyes at the message. Half of the text was a photo of Y/N, the love of his life looking weakly at the camera as bruising and tears covered her face. If the picture wasn't enough to make Tom fear for his girlfriend's life, the text that accompanied the picture certainly was:
Y/N: If you ever want to see your girlfriend alive again, you'll do exactly what we say. No police. Fifty-thousand pounds wired to her account, no cash drop offs. IF you comply, and she doesn't give us any trouble, you'll see her again, alive, tomorrow morning. Send the money in return for the location that we'll leave her at. Involve the police, and we kill her. DON'T test us.
"Oh my god, Haz, oh my fucking god." Tom choked and shook his head, the boy's legs giving way from underneath him as he was forced to sit down on the edge of his bed. He didn't know what to do, he didn't know what to think, aside from the obvious that he had to give Y/N's kidnappers the money. He knew that that probably wasn't the smart option, but there was no way that he was risking Y/N's life by going to the police, and he of course felt responsible for this. After all, it had only been a week since they'd made their relationship public, and so it couldn't be a coincidence that someone was blackmailing Tom for Y/N's life only seven days after.
"Fuck, okay, Tom, it's going to be okay, we'll call the police and it'll all be okay." Harrison nodded, making Tom's eyes widen as he dug out his phone.
"Harrison, are you fucking CRAZY?! That's exactly what they've told me NOT to do! They'll kill Y/N if I call them!" Tom exclaimed.
"What else is there to do?! Fucking pay them fifty grand?!" Harrison scoffed.
"Yes, that's exactly what I'm going to do." Tom nodded as he opened the banking app on his phone, his hands still shaking in fear as he tried to select the correct details.
"What-Tom, tell me that you're not about to pay these assholes fifty grand, we need to call the police-."
"Harrison, fifty grand is nothing to me, but even if that was all that I had in the fucking world, I would use it to save Y/N, shes's the love of my life, I need to save her!" Tom screamed as he shot to his feet and stared at Harrison. Harrison's face softened at his best friend's words, a choke leaving Tom's lips and the tears continuing to roll down his face as he looked down. His heart hurt so fucking much, he never thought that he'd be in this situation with someone that he was with, this situation was like something out of a movie that he'd act in, not actually live. After all, Y/N wasn't the first not-famous person that he'd been with, even if she was the one who he was going to spend the rest of his life with, the general public didn't know that. His fans didn't know that. Or, they weren't supposed to. Regardless, he loved her. And even if he didn't, fifty grand was a very small price to pay for her life. He would have spent millions to save her. Not that he could even put a price on saving another person, let alone the love of his life.
"Haz, sorry, I didn't mean to shout at you, I'm sorry, mate." Tom choked and shook his head, the tears still leaving his eyes as he hung his head. He heard Harrison sigh, his best friend's hand landing reassuringly on his shoulder seconds later.
"I completely get it, mate, trust me, this is a terrifying situation, I can't even imagine how scared you are right now. We'll do it your way, we'll pay the fifty thousand to get her back. If you tell me this. Do you mean it? Do you really love her, Tommy?" Harrison asked gently. Tom sniffed and nodded as he looked back up at the blond boy, his heart numb with fear for Y/N, and his head hurting with all of the ways that this could go wrong. But there wasn't another way. He just had to trust that he'd pay, and they'd let her go safely. As fucking dumb as that sounded.
"Yeah, I do, Haz. I'm in love with her, she's my one. So, am I going to send fifty thousand to her account so that they release her safely? Damn fucking right I'm going to. If you don't feel like you can be here for that, that's fine, I get it. But that's what I'm doing." Tom nodded.
"I'm not going anywhere, mate. Let's do it." Harrison returned the nod, making Tom give him a small smile, and take a deep breath himself as he dug out his phone, and started the process of wiring fifty thousand pounds to Y/N's account.
Y/N's P.O.V
"Please, just don't hurt me, I'll give you anything, please." I whimpered, my head now pounding from having been crying for the last twelve hours as I sat on the chair that my wrists and ankles were tied to.
"Would you just shut the fuck up?" The main guy spat, making my eyes widen as he raised his closed fist. It collided with my jaw a second later, a pained cry leaving my lips and my eyes squeezing shut as pain swept through my face. I choked and shook my head, the metallic taste of blood filling my mouth as a result of the assault.
"Now, smile." The same guy smirked as he harshly grabbed my jaw. I yelped out as he forced me to look at him, my mind not even being able to imagine how broken down I already looked as he raised my phone, and took a photo of me.
"Not that I'm expecting your famous asshole boyfriend to give us the money, but given that that's why we took you, it's worth a shot." He mumbled as he started to type something on my phone before sending it. My eyes widened at his words.
"What?! You took me because of Tom? W-why would you do that?" I cried and shook my head.
"Why the fuck do you think, you dumb bitch?! Apart from the obvious that we can get a lot of money out of him for your safe return, we hate the cunt. He's so successful, for what? Because he's got a nice face? He doesn't deserve to be famous, he doesn't deserve to get all of the beautiful women. He doesn't deserve people like you." He smirked, making me gulp harshly as he leant down and put his hand on my thigh.
"Get the fuck off of me." I whispered with a choke.
"My partner's just being arrogant, there's no way someone like Tom Holland is going to pay fifty thousand quid for a nobody like you. Dream on." The other guy who had taken me spoke quietly from the shadows. My eyes wavered at what he had said, his face only slightly lit up by the orange tinge of his cigarette every time he took a drag.
"What?" I choked. The guy smirked and shook his head as he looked at me.
"Come on, hot stuff. Don't act like you actually think that he gives a shit about you. That he's about to pay a fraction of a million to get you back. You're fucking nobody, the rumours are that he met you in some coffee shop or something. As if Tom fucking Holland is going to pay that kind of money to get you back, just to pretend that he cares about you. Let's be honest, you're no Zendaya." He chuckled cruelly. I gulped harshly and tried not to cry, though it failed as I couldn't help but let his words stab me deeply. Because at the end of the day, he was right. I was a nobody who had gotten lucky to be in the same place as Tom at the same time, and had just so happened to feel a little bit of something when he had touched me for a selfie that I had asked for. Maybe they were right. Maybe I had been delusional for the past four months to believe that what we had was real, that I wasn't just more than a fuck to Tom. My heart fucking broke at the thought, but right now, nothing else was in my head. I didn't even register my phone buzzing in the main bloke's hand, his eyebrows raising a second later as he looked between me, and his partner.
"Holy fuck. You must be a good shag after all. He's actually sent the money. Today's your lucky day, hot stuff. You get to live." He smirked, making my eyes waver and my throat thickly gulp as I tried to process everything. That yes, I would get to see Tom again, but now I had serious doubts about what he really wanted from me. But at least I would get out of here alive.
Tom's P.O.V
Tom stood in the empty park, his heart pounding and his palms sweaty with anxiety as he desperately waited for Y/N. This was the address that the kidnappers had sent him after he'd sent them the money, now he just had to hope that they kept their end of the bargain. Tom deep down knew that what he'd done was fucking stupid, he'd paid fifty thousand for not even a promise that he'd get Y/N back, but he just couldn't risk her being killed because of him involving the police. He hadn't known what else to do, and so that had been his only option. He couldn't even think about not getting Y/N back, his heart hurt at the idea of losing the woman who he wanted to propose to, wanted to have kids with. But until he realised otherwise, he had to assume that the kidnappers would make good on their promise. Which, in itself, was fucking wild to even think. As if on cue, he heard the screech of tires. His eyes shot to the road that came into the park, a gasp leaving his lips and his eyes widening as he saw the door of the black van open...and Y/N being thrown out.
"Y/N!" He yelled, pure adrenaline kicking in as he made off into a sprint towards her.
Y/N's P.O.V
I landed against the concrete path with a thump, making me cry out in pain as I landed harshly on my side. Pain rushed through me, a choke leaving my lips and my head spinning with how dysregulated and out of place I felt having just been thrown out of a moving car, and so suddenly coming to a complete stop on the ground.
"Y/N!" As soon as I heard Tom's voice, I felt safe. I looked up, my eyes widened and a choke leaving my lips as there he was, my boyfriend sprinting down the path towards me as the van behind me sped off.
"Tommy." I choked, everything in me just needing to be back in his arms as I stumbled up to my feet before starting to limp towards him. Within seconds, his arms were around me, both of us just breaking down as I started sobbing into his chest.
"Oh my god, my love, are you okay?! I thought that I'd lost you, darling, I'm so fucking sorry, are you okay?" Tom choked, one arm wrapped around my waist as his other hand held my head into his chest. Held me safely into his body.
"I-I'm fine, Tommy, apart from just a couple of bruises. I can't believe you paid that money for me, thank you." I sobbed into his shirt.
"What, sweetheart? Come here, look at me." Tom cooed, tears continuing to leave both of our eyes as he used his hand to gently lift my head and make me look at him. Despite how red and puffy his eyes were from crying, they were still perfect, the chocolate orbs being what I had fallen in love with about the boy first, even before I had known him. He gave me a small and reassuring smile, his eyes flicking over my face as his thumb soothingly rubbed against the skin of my cheek.
"What did those assholes say to you, darling? What did they say to make you think that I wouldn't get you back?" He cooed softly. I gulped harshly and looked down, my heart hurting at the painful memories of even just the last few hours as I felt Tom kiss my head.
"They, um...they said that I was just a fuck to you. Their argument was, why would you ever go for someone like me, a fucking nobody who just happened to be in the right place at the right time? They, um...yeah." I whispered and shook my head, tears still rolling down my cheeks as I just let Tom hold me.
"Oh, sweetheart. I'm so fucking sorry." Tom choked, his hand on my face gently raising my head again as he leant down and started to kiss away the tears that had escaped. I relished the feeling of him being so soft and gentle with me, my heart full of love for him as we looked into each other's eyes.
"My love, you've got to believe that you are so much more to me than that. You're everything to me, sweetheart, you're the first thing that I think about in the morning, and the last thing on my mind before I fall asleep. I...I fucking love you, darling. I love you." He choked and shook his head. My eyes wavered, my lips parting and my heart almost exploding in my chest with what he had just said to me. That he loved me. Of course I knew that Tom and I were relatively serious at this point, given that we'd just announced our relationship to the public, but love? Of course I loved him too, but I would have never imagined that someone like me would be Tom's one. I was Tom's one.
"You...you love me, Tommy?" I returned his choke.
"Of course I do, sweetheart, why do you think I paid the ransom? They could have asked for everything that I have, and I would have done it in a heartbeat, to save you. Because I love you, Y/N. And I'm so fucking glad that you're okay." He whispered, his eyes still lovingly flicking over my face as he cupped my cheek.
"Thank you for saving me, Tommy. I love you too. Thank you." I returned as I tightly hugged him again. The pair of us continued to just hold each other in the middle of the park, both of us relishing the feeling of me being safely back in Tom's arms. And I never wanted to leave his arms again.
