"Remember me. Please." *final part* (Tom Holland)

"Tommy, have you seen my shoes?" I yelled, my hands shoving my stuff into my handbag as I rushed around mine and Tom's house in search of my shoes.

"Your heels? I think that I saw them in the hallway!" He shouted back from the kitchen. I ran back out into the corridor, a smile curling onto my lips as I grabbed my heels. I headed back into the kitchen, making Tom look up at me from the breakfast bar.

"You couldn't remember proposing to me for a month, but you can remember exactly where I leave my shoes." I teased.

"Ha ha." He returned as he shoved a spoonful of cereal into his mouth, making me chuckle and shake my head. Another four months had gone by since our first night out since Tom had come back, making it ten months since he'd been found again alive. And things had been on the rise since. Ever since that night where Tom had admitted to having remembered things, but also admitted to there being little emotion accompanying these memories, we had inadvertently, somewhat accidentally...gotten back together. We had never officially said it, Tom had never officially asked me to be his girlfriend again, but slowly we had just become closer. I had invited Tom to share our bed again a week after that night, his arm finding its way around my waist immediately. We had started cuddling, had started going on dates, had started acting exactly like we had done when we had been dating before, and had been engaged. And it was perfect. Tom had gotten his memory back now, albeit a few minor details, the only thing left for us to do was to get engaged again. But god knows when that would be.

"You off then, my love?" He asked as I checked the contents of my bag once more.

"Yeah, I'm late too. I'll see you at dinner." I nodded, making him return it as I leant in and pecked his lips.

"See you later, sweetheart." He called after me, my heart fluttering at the nickname that I now heard often again as I rushed out of the house, and shut the door behind me.

Tom's P.O.V

Tom knocked on Harrison's front door, the boy stepping back and shoving his hands into his jacket pockets as he waited for a response. After a moment, the door opened to reveal the blond boy.

"Tom, hey! How's it going?!" Harrison laughed as he pulled Tom into a tight hug.

"Not too bad, same old. Can't complain now that I actually remember who you are." He teased, making Harrison smirk and shake his head as he shut the door, and the pair headed through to the living room.

"So, what's up? You sounded a little freaked out on the phone." He nodded as they sat down on the opposite sofas. Tom sighed and looked down, the anxiety starting to creep in as he nervously fiddled with his fingers.

"I've been back for almost a year. As far as I'm aware, I pretty much have all of my memories back now. Including my memories of Y/N and I, including the love that I had for her before the accident. The love that I have for her. And so, I'm thinking about proposing to her again." He admitted. Harrison's eyes widened.

"Mate, that's amazing-." Tom gulped, making Harrison stop talking as his smile dipped slightly.

"Why do I feel like there's a 'but' coming?" He mumbled. The boy sighed and looked down, tears pricking his eyes at the situation. After all, he loved Y/N, so fucking much, but since he'd lost his memory, there would always be some doubt there. And he didn't know if he could do that to Y/N.

"It's going to sound so fucking stupid, but I need your advice, mate. I-I love her, I do, but I can't help feeling like part of that comes from the fact that she was introduced to me as my fiance. The fact that from the get-go, I knew that I had loved her before the accident, that we had both been expecting a life together, and that that was taken away from us. From her." He choked and shook his head. Harrison sighed and nodded as he looked at Tom.

"You're worried that you don't truly love Y/N." He stated.

"It sounds awful, I know." Tom sobbed as he looked down again.

"Mate, no it doesn't, it's okay. You've known her again for ten months, when you previously had five years of falling in love with her, of course that's a massive change for you. So, what do you love about her?" He asked. Tom's eyebrows furrowed as he looked back up at his best friend.

"What?" he scoffed and shook his head.

"Don't even think about it, just start telling me what you love about her." Harrison insisted with a nod. Tom sighed and returned the nod, his eyes starting to wander as his head filled with thoughts and memories of Y/N.

"I love the way that she smiles first thing in the morning, no matter what time I wake her up, no matter how much sleep we've had the night before, she always starts the day off positive, which is really fucking hard to do, given what we've been through. I love how she sings in the shower, quieter when she thinks that I'm there, so I'll trick her into thinking that I've left so that she won't be afraid to belt her heart out. I love how the perfume that she wears is one of the strongest things that reminds me about our original time together, about when we were teenagers who were genuinely in love, and didn't listen to anyone who told us that we weren't, thank fuck that we didn't listen, too. I love that no matter how harsh I've been to her through this, how much I've tried to push her away, she's never let me. She's insisted on remaining by my side for the whole thing, no matter how hard it's been on her, and I'm sure that it's been pretty fucking hard. I love that she's been able to remind me about all of the small things about myself, even down to the brand of whiskey that I like. I love the fact that I'm still so excited to marry her, that even now, before we're engaged again, I can't wait to see her walking down the aisle to me. I love everything about her, Haz. I love her." He choked and shook his head, his mind now completely and utterly occupied with thoughts of Y/N. Thoughts that were dispelling any doubt that he had about his true feelings for her. Harrison nodded and gave him a small smile.

"Yeah. You do. Now, let's say that we plan your perfect proposal, two point oh?" He smiled, making Tom laugh and nod through the tears as Harrison patted him reassuringly on the back.

Y/N's P.O.V

"Seriously, Haz, where are we going?" I scoffed, my hand holding onto Harrison's arm as he walked me to a so-far-undisclosed location. All I knew was that wherever he was taking me warranted me having dressed up in one of my nicest dresses, heels, and a face full of makeup.

"You'll find out when we get there." Harrison chuckled, making me sigh and bite my lip in anxiety as we continued to walk. When I had come home, Harrison had been there in Tom's place, with only a note signifying Tom's presence in our house that day. A note that told me to get ready, and not ask any questions, the second half I wasn't very happy about. But I wasn't about to ruin whatever the love of my life had clearly planned for me. My eyes widened, my heart leaping in my chest as mine and Tom's favourite restaurant came into view.

"I should have known." I whispered, making Harrison look at me as we walked in.

"Table for Holland, please." Harrison nodded as I gulped and looked around timidly. I still couldn't see Tom anywhere, so I was wondering what the fuck I was doing here.

"Please follow me." The woman smiled, Harrison returning it and nodding as he looked down at me. I gulped and returned the look, my best friend giving me a reassuring smile as he started to lead me through the restaurant. My eyes widened, a quiet choke leaving my lips as Harrison led me out into the courtyard. Just like on the night that Tom had proposed, fairy lights had been put up, garlands of flowers decorating the area to make it look like something out of a dream as we wandered into the space. But most importantly, in the middle of it all...was Tom. I bit my lip, tears pricking my eyes and a small smile on my lips as the love of my life stood there with his body clad in the suit that he'd worn on that night. I was starting to catch on to what was about to happen, and I hoped to anything out there that I was right.

"This, I believe, is where I leave you." Harrison smiled, making me return it as he leant down and kissed my cheek.

"Thanks, mate." Tom nodded, Harrison returning it and giving me a reassuring wink as I let go of his arm, and he headed back inside. I bit my lip and looked at Tom again.

"This isn't for us...is it?" I teased as I walked towards him and repeated the words that I had said on that night, almost six years ago. The boy chuckled and nodded as he bit his lip, every inch of me desperately trying to keep it together as I sauntered towards him.

"It is. And that's because I have something very important to ask you. Again." He smiled, making me laugh and shake my head as he finally got the box out of his pocket, and got down on one knee. I nodded and bit my lip, the fact that this was the second time that Tom had proposed not at all diminishing the emotions as tears started to leave both of our eyes. I stared at the ring that I hadn't worn in five years but had never fallen out of love with, even the box the same as Tom looked up at me.

"Y/N, my love, I know that our relationship has been far from perfect for the last few months. We had gone through enough for any couple, let alone you thinking that I was dead, and me coming back with no memory of you." He joked, making me laugh and shake my head as I raised my hands to my mouth.

"I may not have remembered you when I first saw you again, but I thank anything out there that I remember you now, because I wouldn't be me without you. I have truly fallen in love with you all over again since having come back. I won't lie to you, a part of me was worried that I only thought that I loved you because I knew that I had before the accident. But then I started to think about everything that I loved about you, and the list was endless. You are perfect to me, you always have been, even if I can't remember it all. I thank the universe for the new memories that we've made together, and I will continue to be thankful for the memories that we'll make together from now on. So, Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N, will you make me the happiest man on Earth, and marry me?" He asked softly. I smiled and bit my lip, my heart more full of love than it ever had been before at the idea that this had happened. After ten months of the pain, the torture of not knowing if the love of my life would ever remember me again, we were finally getting our happily-ever-after. And I wasn't going to let that go this time.

"Yes, Tommy. Of course I will." I whispered and shook my head. Tom smiled and bit his lip, making me laugh as he stood up and curled his arms around my waist. I held his face before leaning up and smashing our lips together, our eyes fluttering shut as he returned the kiss. It was our first real kiss in almost six years, and it was beyond perfect. This last year had by far been the hardest of my life, but we were out of it now. We were out of it, alive, and still together despite all of the odds. Despite everything. We were still together. I was no longer hugging the fiance that I had lost, and had thought dead. I was hugging my fiance who was very much alive, and continued to love me just as much as I still loved him.

"Wait, we need to check that it fits." He smiled as he pulled away, making me playfully roll my eyes and shake my head as he took the ring out of the box. Both of us studied it as he gently took my hand and slid the ring on, more tears leaving my eyes at the perfect feeling of the ring once again on my finger. He bit his lip and looked back at me, me returning the glance as we just stood there in each other's arms, and relished the feelings that we thought that we'd never get back. And yet somehow, we had managed to.

"I love you, Tommy. So fucking much. And I can't wait to finally be your wife." I choked and shook my head.

"I love you so much too, sweetheart. And I can't wait to finally be your husband." He smiled, making me return it as he leant down and smashed our lips together. This time, I didn't need to say what I had ended every conversation on since he had come back. Because it had worked. The love of my life had remembered me. Tom had remembered me.
