Always back to you *part 1* (Peter Parker)

Requested by ghostwriter3456: Peter and Y/N are Avengers and are together in the MCU, when a Tom Holland fan from this 'reality' shifts, and scripts that Peter is in love with her instead, and Y/N is her best friend. Peter and Y/N slowly start to realise that things are forced and unnatural with this girl, and figure out that this girl scripted their feelings away from each other, but they keep finding themselves going back to each other.

"Peter, stop, that tickles!" I squealed, my eyes squeezed shut and my body desperately rolling around Peter's bed in an attempt to get away from his fingers as my boyfriend tickled me as much as he could.

"That's the point, angel!" He laughed, his face also leaning down and nuzzling into my neck as he continued to tickle me.

"Peter!" I whined playfully as I knew that he would stop if he thought that he was starting to annoy me. I was right.

"Okay, I'm sorry, baby, I'm sorry." He chuckled, making me finally take a much needed breath of relief as he stopped tickling me, and instead lovingly curled his arms around my waist to hold me. Peter and I were both Avengers, and we'd been together for five years now, ever since Peter had been recruited by Tony to join the team. Peter really was the love of my life, my heart always feeling safe and secure when I was around him and when my body was wrapped in his arms like it was right now. We were your pretty average young couple, apart from the fact that of course we were Avengers, but apart from that, we were just a normal pair of twenty-year-olds. We had regular dates and often slept in each other's rooms, we loved doing stupid shit like play-fighting, or in this case, Peter tickling me until I almost couldn't breathe. But that was how we loved it, and I wouldn't give that up for anything. Peter bit his lip, my boyfriend's stunning chocolate eyes flicking over my face as he looked at me.

"I love you, babe. So fucking much." He mumbled and shook his head. I gave him a small smile, my heart so full of love for him as I could see the truth of his words in how he was looking at me.

"I love you too, Pete. I always will." I returned before leaning up and kissing him. He returned the kiss, our eyes fluttering shut and his hand raising to my face to pull me closer as we kissed. I couldn't help but giggle into it, making Peter smirk as he deepened the kiss and gently pushed me back so that I was lying on his bed, and he was hovering over me. We started to make out, my hands raising into his curls and gently pulling on them as his hands gently roamed over my curves. Had I known that that would be the last time in what would end up being months that I would kiss him like this...I never would have stopped. Without warning, a low rumbling started to sound around us. Peter broke the kiss and looked up, both of our eyebrows furrowing as the rumbling got louder, and the Tower started to shake around us, making both of our eyes widen.

"Peter, what's happening?" I gulped as he quickly stood up and pulled me up from his bed too so that we were stood on his floor, his arms tightly wrapping around me as we looked around in terror.

"I don't know, angel, I don't know. FRIDAY, what's happening?!" Peter yelled as the shaking got worse by the second, the entire room vibrating violently as the pair of us struggled to stay on our feet.

"I don't know, I've never seen readings like this before." The AI responded, making me gulp as I realised that whatever this was...was big. Our eyes widened again, my heart virtually stopping in my chest as the walls of Peter's bedroom started to fall away to reveal nothing but purple and blue swirls all around us. Within seconds, nothing but the small bit of floor that we'd been standing on remained, Peter's arms as tightly around me as they ever had been before as we both looked around utterly terrified.

"What the fuck, what the actual fuck?" Peter gulped, making me choke and shake my head as we stood there and helplessly watched what was going on. After all, what else was there to do? My eyes widened, my gaze flicking up to Peter and him returning it as we both started to feel the force that was seemingly pulling us away from each other.

"Peter, what's happening?!" I exclaimed as our arms unraveled from each other's bodies, and we both started to float among the energy. The issue was that we hadn't done that ourselves.

"I don't know! Stay close, baby, stay close!" Peter yelled to me, more distance parting us by the second as we both helplessly floated in the space, and desperately fought to get back to each other. But it was no use.

"I'm trying, but I can't! I can't move! Peter!" I screamed, both of our arms flailing desperately and yet to no change as whatever energy we were in right now continued to force us apart.

"Neither can I! Y/N!" Peter shouted.

"PETER!"

My eyes shot open, a sharp gasp leaving my lips as my body was pulled harshly out of one of the weirdest dreams that I'd ever had. I panted heavily and gulped, a thin layer of sweat coating my skin as I turned onto my back in bed, and just stared at the ceiling as I tried to understand the dream. It had been an insanely weird one, that was for sure. I sighed and shook my head as I stood up, my feet connecting to the floor within seconds as I stood up and headed to my door. I wandered out and looked up, my eyes wavering as soon as I did. My heart fluttered slightly in my chest as I saw Peter heading down the hallway in front of me and towards the living room. The issue was that I had no idea why I felt like that. After all, I hardly knew the boy. Peter had joined the team five years ago now, and whilst I had always thought that he was cute and insanely smart, we had just never really talked. We trained occasionally together, and small 'well done' and 'nice job' comments would inevitably be exchanged during those, but apart from that, we rarely had contact. Like I said, that did kind of suck given that I had to admit that there was something special about the boy's chocolate eyes and hazel curls. But they were attributes to which I couldn't exactly pinpoint why I thought that they were special. I sighed and followed behind him along the hallway and into the living room, my mind still baffled by the dream that I had had. I didn't remember much of it at all, but I did remember that Peter had been in it. I just remembered us seemingly floating, purple and blue energy surrounding us as we yelled. But I couldn't remember what we had been saying. That was the issue. I snapped out of my thoughts as I walked in, Peter already having sat down at the breakfast bar with a bowl of cereal. The boy looked up at me and gave me a small smile as I walked in, making me hesitantly return it as I also started to potter around the kitchen.

"Morning, my favourite people!" I looked over my shoulder, a smile curling onto my lips as Naomi strutted into the room.

"Hey, baby." Peter smiled, my best friend and Peter's girlfriend leaning down and pecking the boy's lips before rushing to me. I laughed into her ear as she tightly hugged me, our arms wrapping around each other with the embrace. But then something happened. My eyebrows seemingly furrowed by themselves, confusion filling my head as something just felt slightly off about the hug. I just couldn't tell for the life of me why I felt like that.

"How are you, Naomi?" I chuckled as I pulled away.

"Oh, I'm amazing. Ready for my date with Pete." She giggled, making me give her a small smile and nod as she bounced excitedly back to Peter's side, the boy's eyebrows furrowed as he looked up at her.

"Shit, we had a date planned?" He gulped.

"Yes, silly, we did, but that's okay, I know how forgetful you can be sometimes. Come on, let's go." She smiled sweetly. Peter sighed and stuck one more spoonful of cereal into his mouth before standing up. Naomi immediately joined their hands, her smile never faltering or even shifting in the slightest as Peter looked at me.

"See you later, Y/N." Peter spoke softly.

"Yeah, see you, Pete." I nodded and gave him a small smile. And yet, neither of us made any attempt to look away. Something just felt so natural about staring into the boy's eyes, and having him seemingly admire me back just as much. Something was wrong, something felt seriously off here. I just wished that I could tell what it was. Peter returned my smile before Naomi virtually pulled him out of the room by his hand, making me sigh and look down as my heart fluttered slightly in my chest out of jealousy. The problem was that I had no idea why I was jealous. Why any of this felt off. But it just...did.

Peter's P.O.V

Peter sat at the breakfast bar in the living room, his eyes glued to his cereal as he desperately tried to forget the beyond weird dream that he'd had last night. The boy didn't remember much, only fragments, but what he did remember involved him and Y/N, for some reason, surrounded by what felt like purple energy. His main confusion right now was why Y/N was in the dream with him, after all, the two were barely even acquaintances, let alone friends or anything more. Peter had joined the team five years ago now, and whilst he had always thought that Y/N was incredibly cute and smart, the pair had just failed to ever develop even a friendship. Peter wasn't to be gotten wrong, they didn't dislike each other or anything, they just never really talked. They trained occasionally together, and small 'well done' and 'nice job' comments would inevitably be exchanged during those, but apart from that, they never spoke. Peter had to admit that that kind of sucked given that there was something special about the girl's simply stunning eyes and flowing curls. But they were attributes to which Peter couldn't exactly pinpoint why he thought that they were special, that was just how he felt. Peter looked up as Y/N walked in, the boy giving the girl a small smile as he saw her. She hesitantly returned it, something feeling oddly awkward and wrong about the entire wordless interaction as Y/N started to also potter around the kitchen. Peter just wished that he could figure out what felt so wrong.

"Morning, my favourite people!" Peter looked up, a smile curling onto his lips as Naomi strutted into the room.

"Hey, baby." Peter smiled, his girlfriend and Y/N's best friend leaning down and pecking the boy's lips before rushing to Y/N. Peter's eyebrows furrowed at the kiss, his mind confused as somehow, it felt different to normal. Naomi's lips felt thinner, more chapped, than they normally did, but Peter didn't see how that could be true, how it could be possible for her lips to have gotten thinner. He sighed and shook off the weird feeling, the boy looking back down at his cereal as Naomi and Y/N hugged, causing Y/N to laugh. God, that laugh was like music to Peter's ears.

"How are you, Naomi?" Y/N chuckled as she pulled away from the hug.

"Oh, I'm amazing. Ready for my date with Pete." She giggled as she bounced excitedly back to Peter's side, the boy's eyebrows furrowed as he looked up at her. After all, Peter never forgot about dates, and so he was sure that if he actually had a date with Naomi, he would have remembered it.

"Shit, we had a date planned?" He gulped.

"Yes, silly, we did, but that's okay, I know how forgetful you can be sometimes. Come on, let's go." She smiled sweetly. Peter sighed and stuck one more spoonful of cereal into his mouth before standing up, his mind not letting himself fully question the situation, and the fact that Naomi was claiming that he was so forgetful sometimes when he knew that he wasn't. Naomi immediately joined their hands, her smile never faltering or even shifting in the slightest as Peter looked at Y/N again.

"See you later, Y/N." Peter spoke softly.

"Yeah, see you, Pete." She nodded and gave him a small smile. And yet, neither of them made any attempt to look away. Something just felt so natural about staring into the girl's eyes, and having her seemingly admire him back just as much. Something was wrong, something felt seriously off here. Peter just wished that he could tell what it was. Peter returned Y/N's smile before Naomi virtually pulled him out of the room by his hand, making Peter sigh and let himself be pulled along to his room by the girl. Peter just couldn't shake the feeling that something was off, something didn't feel right. Why any of this felt off. But it just...did.
