Accidental rivals (Mob boss!AU, Tom Holland)

Requested by _miedelas: Y/N and Tom meet in a bar and hit it off immediately, which leads to four years of dating, and then marriage. They don't know that each other is the boss of rival mobs, until one day, Tom has to deal with another mob that's related to Y/N's. Her dad calls her and tells her who Tom is, and that he's in trouble, so she shows up to help him fight the other mob.

"I'm being serious! I had to knee him in the crotch to finally get him to stop hitting on me!" I exclaimed, making my best friend almost fall off of the bar stool laughing as we sat at the bar together and drank.

"Could you not have just gotten one of your bodyguards to take him out?!" She cried with laughter.

"Sure, but where would the fun be in that?" I smirked as I raised my drink to my lips. She returned it and shook her head as she stood up.

"I'm going to the bathroom. Watch my drink, yeah?" She asked.

"Yeah, course." I smiled, making her return it as she passed me and headed out to the back of the bar. I chuckled and shook my head at the memory that I had just retold as I faced forward again, and took another sip of my drink.

"Excuse me." I turned my head, my eyes widening slightly as the most stunning guy that I'd ever seen walked up to me. I subtly flicked my eyes up and down his figure, everything from his gorgeous chocolate eyes, beautiful hazel curls and the smart suit that fit him like a glove making him absolutely hot as shit.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" I smiled as I turned on the stool to face him.

"I should be the one apologising, because no, you don't. It's just that I saw you come in with your friend a while ago, and I haven't been able to take my eyes off of you since." He admitted with a shake of his head.

"Well that doesn't sound creepy at all." I teased with a smile as I raised my drink to my lips again. He chuckled and nodded as he looked down before raising his eyes back up to me.

"You're right, it does sound a little weird. But what can I say, I love admiring beautiful things." He continued to flirt as his gaze flicked over my face. I smiled and bit my lip, my cheeks heating up slightly underneath my foundation as we seemingly just admired each other. Whoever this guy was, I could already feel the connection with him. The way that he was looking at me was unlike the way that anyone else had ever looked at me before, and we'd only been talking for a minute. I could already see my future with him, and that made me excited.

"Can I buy you a drink, love?" The man asked.

"No." I shook my head, making his eyes waver and his smile dipped slightly.

"At least, not until you tell me your name." I nodded. His eyes brightened again, making me smile as he laughed and shook his head.

"You had me worried for a second there, sweetheart. My name is Tom. It's a pleasure to meet you." He nodded as he maintained eye contact with me and leant down to kiss my hand.

"Y/N. It's a pleasure to meet you too, Tom." I smiled back.

"How about that drink then?" He chuckled.

"Sounds perfect." I spoke, making him return my smile and bite his lip as we continued to talk and flirt.

That had been four years ago, and had been the day that I had met the love of my life and husband, Tom Holland. By the end of the night at the bar, Tom had asked for my number, and we had never looked back. Now we lived in a to-die-for country mansion, our bedroom windows alone looking out onto beautiful ponds and fields that were also ours privately. Tom and I had bought it together when we had first moved in together, the issue was that I could never tell Tom how I'd been able to afford my half. And that was because I was the boss of an infamous London mob...and I had never told him. Admittedly, I had no idea how I'd kept it from him, but somehow I had managed. I had to confess that there had always been an air of secrecy in mine and Tom's relationship. Neither of us had ever told the other what we did for work, how we made so much money, and we never asked the other person either. It was an arrangement that worked, and I didn't want to risk our lavish lifestyle, a job that I loved and a man that I'd die for just for the sake of knowing what he did too. I snapped out of my thoughts, my eyes immediately landing on my own reflection as I sat at my makeup table in mine and Tom's bedroom. I sighed and finished my makeup in order to get ready for the meeting that I had with the rest of my mob in a few hours. I looked at the door through the mirror as it opened, my heart fluttering and my lips curling into a smile as Tom walked into our bedroom.

"Hey, Tommy." I greeted him as he walked up to stand behind me, and placed his hands on my shoulders.

"Hey, my love. I've been suddenly called into work, so I need to go, but I'll be back for our dinner reservation." He promised, my heart fluttering again as he leant down and gently peppered kisses along my bare shoulder and neck.

"Okay, Tommy. But if you're going, don't do that, you'll get me started knowing that you can't stay to help me out." I flirted. He smirked against my skin, making me giggle and bite my lip as he pulled away from my neck, but instead placed his head next to mine so that we were both looking at ourselves in the mirror.

"How did I get someone so beautiful?" He whispered, his eyes glued to my face in the reflective surface as he pressed his lips to the side of my head. I smiled at his words, my heart falling more in love with him by the day as I put my hand over his that was still on my shoulder.

"I ask myself the same thing every day." I returned. He chuckled and looked at me, making me return it.

"I love you, sweetheart, and I'll be back for dinner." He reiterated.

"I love you too, Tommy. Be safe." I nodded.

"Always am." He smiled before leaning in and kissing me. I returned it, my eyes fluttering shut and my hand raising to hold his face as I enjoyed the intimate moment. Tom broke the kiss after a moment, making me give him one last small smile as he stood up and headed back out of the bedroom, on his way to do whatever he did for work.

Tom's P.O.V

"I swear to god, if I find out that one more shipment has been hijacked, someone is going to fucking die." Tom spat, his body leaning over his desk and his hands placed flat against the surface as he looked at his phone that was on speaker against the desk.

"Boss, what do you want us to do? They always show up hours ahead of us-."

"Use your fucking head, turn up earlier, stake out the docks. I don't give a fuck what you do, as long as you do it. If my shipment gets hijacked again, you won't be using your head, I'll be using it, as a fucking football after I cut it off. Get it done." Tom snapped before hanging up the phone. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, Harrison leaning against the wall as he watched him.

"This is getting ridiculous, mate. They need to be taught a lesson-."

"You think that I don't know that, Haz? My issue is how I fix this without putting Y/N in danger. I promised myself from the second that I met her that I wouldn't involve her in this life." He sighed and shook his head, making Harrison return the sigh. When Tom had met Y/N four years ago in a bar, he'd known from the second that he'd seen her that she was it for him. She had him in a trance from the second that she walked in, the girl only wrapping him more around her finger when they started talking, and Tom found out just how lovely and kind she was. Within a year, they had bought this house and had moved in together, with Tom proposing to her six months later. He was just lucky that Y/N never asked about how he could afford his half of the house, and how he'd been able to buy her such a beautiful ring and wedding. The truth was that Tom was the boss of the Holland mob in London...and Y/N still didn't know. He had no idea how he'd kept it from her, especially as his surname, and therefore now hers, was literally the mob's name, but he had managed for the last four years to keep her away from that life. It helped that they'd developed an unspoken agreement never to speak about their work, which did also mean that Tom didn't know what his wife did, either. Not that he minded. He snapped out of his thoughts, his train of thought turning to what he had to do to stop the rival gang from messing with his business.

"You know what, Haz? Fuck it. They need to be taught a lesson. I have ways to protect Y/N, I'll just need to enforce them. Get the men ready, we leave for the docks in five minutes." Tom nodded as he headed towards his shut study door.

"Boss." Harrison returned, Tom not responding as he opened the door and started to head to his and Y/N's bedroom to say goodbye to his wife. Tom had had a few close calls since having been with Y/N, and so he always made sure to kiss her and tell her that he loved her before leaving, especially as she had no way of knowing the danger of his occupation. Today was no different. He opened their bedroom door and walked in, making Y/N look at him through her mirror.

"Hey, Tommy." She smiled as he walked up to stand behind her, and placed his hands on her shoulders.

"Hey, my love. I've been suddenly called into work, so I need to go, but I'll be back for our dinner reservation." He promised as he leant down and gently peppered kisses along her bare shoulder and neck.

"Okay, Tommy. But if you're going, don't do that, you'll get me started knowing that you can't stay to help me out." She flirted. He smirked against her skin, making her giggle and bite her lip as he pulled away from her neck, but instead placed his head next to hers so that they were both looking at themselves in the mirror.

"How did I get someone so beautiful?" He whispered, his eyes glued to her beautiful face in the reflective surface as he pressed his lips to the side of her head. Y/N smiled at his words, the man's heart only filling with more love for her by the day as she put her hand over his that was still on her shoulder.

"I ask myself the same thing every day." She returned. He chuckled and looked at her, his heart secretly knowing that no matter how much revenge he needed to get on the rival mob, he couldn't let them get to her in response. He'd die before he let anyone touch her.

"I love you, sweetheart, and I'll be back for dinner." He reiterated.

"I love you too, Tommy. Be safe." She nodded.

"Always am." He smiled before leaning in and kissing her. She returned it, their eyes fluttering shut and her small, soft hand raising to hold his face as they enjoyed the intimate moment. Tom broke the kiss after a moment, making his stunning wife give him one last small smile as he stood up and headed back out of the bedroom, leaving Y/N to continue getting ready for whatever she did for work.

Y/N's P.O.V

"So, the hijack was successful? And he's sticking with our deal to give us half of the profits?" I asked as I stood around the table with my right-hand people, Lucy and Alex.

"The hijack was successful, yes, he got the Holland mob's full shipment of cocaine. It's yet to be seen whether or not he'll stick to the deal, but he knows that a bullet will end up in his head if he doesn't." Alex nodded. I sighed and returned it as I looked down at the table of plans.

"So, what do we do next?" Lucy asked.

"We prepare for Holland's retaliation. We've never worked with someone who's stolen from them before, so we don't know how strong the reaction will be. But we need to be prepared for anything and everything." I nodded, making Lucy and Alex return it. Suddenly, my phone started to vibrate against the table, making my eyebrows furrow as it was my dad. I picked it up and put it to my ear.

"Dad, I'm working-."

"Tell me that the rumours about you being the mob to have a deal with the Smith mob regarding Holland's shipment is wrong." He cut me off. My eyebrows furrowed.

"What? Why-."

"Tell me that they're wrong, Y/N!" He exclaimed frantically. My eyes widened, my anxiety starting to rise with how panicked he sounded.

"No, they're not wrong-."

"Fucking hell, Y/N. You've just sent Tom to his death." he scoffed. My eyes widened further, my heart dropping to my feet at his words.

"Dad, what the fuck are you talking about? Tom isn't even in this world." I gulped.

"Y/N, I love you, I do, but you're married to a very rich and successful man with the surname of 'Holland', and he never told you what he does for a living, how did you not figure it out?!" He exclaimed. My eyes wavered as he talked, each word hitting me like a tonne of bricks as my legs started to feel weak underneath me and forced me to sit down.

"Oh my god. Tom...Tom is the mob boss of the Holland mob...Tom is the Tom Holland." I choked, my entire body starting to feel numb as the reality of the situation started to set in. Not only had I been unknowingly stealing from and competing with my husband for the last four years, but now I had accidentally made a deal with another mob who were stealing his stuff, and who had obviously set up a trap for him when he went for revenge. I had to get to him. And I had to get to him now.

"Dad, where are they?! Where is he? I have to help him." I gulped as I stood back up and started to rush around my office to grab my gun and whatever else I'd need.

"He's due at the docks any minute. If you're quick, you might be able to get to Smith first." He spoke.

"Thanks, dad." I nodded before hanging up and looking at Lucy and Alex.

"We need to go. Now."

I rushed into the warehouse by the docks, Lucy, Alex and my men following quickly behind as we ran in. I took a breath of relief as Tom and his men weren't there, which was something. But...Smith and his men were there.

"About fucking time, Y/N, I thought that I'd have to kill Holland and his men by myself." He scoffed.

"Yeah, I'm not here to help you kill Holland. I'm here to help him kill you." I nodded. The man's eyebrows furrowed.

"What-."

"GET DOWN, RIGHT FUCKING NOW!" My eyes fluttered shut, my heart plummeting to my feet as the voice that I'd woken up to every morning for the last three years rang out behind me.

"Don't shoot, Tommy." I just about managed to respond in a shaking voice. Smith's eyes widened, the same expression undoubtedly on my husband's face as silence pierced the air.

"...Y/N? Is that you?" I heard him speak. I nodded and bit my lip, my heart pounding so harshly in fear as I slowly but surely started to turn around. I turned to see Tom pointing his gun straight at me, his eyes wide as he saw me. But anger started to fill them within seconds as he looked past me, and at Smith.

"You fucking took my wife?! You son of a bitch." he spat as he started to rush towards Smith.

"Tom, no!" I yelled as I stood in front of him and put my hand on his chest. I choked, my eyes widening as the barrel of his gun harshly pressed into my chest as a result of me rushing forwards to stop him. Tom's eyes widened too, both of us staring at each other with gazes full of fear and panic as I could see everything starting to piece together in my husband's head.

"If he...if he didn't take you...why the fuck are you here?" He mumbled. I gulped harshly, a tear leaving my eye as I flicked my gaze over my husband's broken face.

"I'm sorry." I whispered. His eyes widened, a tear also running down his face as everything finally clicked.

"Kill them." Smith's voice rang out.

"NO!" Tom yelled as he grabbed me and turned us around. The first shot rang out, making me scream as the bullet flew into Tom's waist.

"EVERYONE GET DOWN!" Harrison yelled, all of us scrambling for cover as I put my arm around Tom's waist and pulled him behind some boxes. We collapsed against them, Tom groaning and squeezing his eyes shut as he placed his hand against the gun shot.

"Fuck, Tommy, are you okay?" I gulped as I started to undo the button of his dress shirt to see the wound.

"I'm fine, it didn't hit anything important. What I do want to talk about is how the fuck we've gone four years without realising that we're both mob bosses?! How the fuck did that one never get mentioned?!" He exclaimed in a hushed whisper.

"Tommy, you're bleeding out and we're being shot at, this isn't the time. We'll discuss this after we get out of here alive, yeah?" I nodded. He sighed and returned it, making me gulp as we both whipped our guns out and stood up before starting to shoot.

I stood in mine and Tom's en-suite, my hands virtually shaking and my skin red with my husband's blood as I collected everything that I needed to clean up his wound. I bit my lip and looked at myself in the mirror before sighing. The cat was officially out of the bag, Tom and I officially knew that we were bosses of rival mobs. And now...we had to talk about it. I took a deep breath and tried to compose myself before grabbing everything that I needed and heading back through to our bedroom. Tom looked up at me, my husband giving me a small smile as he sat on our bed, shirtless, so that I could tend to his wound.

"Warning in advance that this will hurt, so you'll want that whiskey." I warned as I put the medical supplies on one side of him, and the bottle of whiskey on the other.

"I've been sewn up before, sweetheart." He mumbled. My movements paused for a second, my body now on my knees in front of him so that I was at eye level with his wound as I flicked my gaze up to look at him.

"Right." I chuckled slightly in response as I grabbed the rubbing alcohol. I doused the piece of gauze in it before resting my hand on Tom's waist to steady him and pressing the gauze to the wound with my other hand.

"Holy fucking shit!" My husband shouted, his eyes squeezing shut and his teeth gritting in pain as he grabbed the whiskey bottle.

"You've got this, Tommy, you'll be okay." I reassured as he raised the bottle to his lips and took a massive swig. He lowered it and coughed, the back of his hand raising to his lips before he looked at me.

"So...you're the boss of the Y/L/N mob, huh?" He asked quietly. I sighed and looked up at him as I continued to clean up his wound.

"I'm sorry for not telling you. It's just...how do you even bring up something like that?" I gulped.

"I'm not mad at you, darling. How can I be, I did the same thing. We just need to figure out how we'll make this work. Because until an hour ago, I wanted to kill all bosses of all other mobs, but I can't really kill my wife, and I don't want to." He teased with a smile, making me chuckle and shake my head.

"And I don't want to kill my husband, either. I think that the only thing that really makes sense is merging our mobs together. Expand the empire, work together to bring down other mobs like Smith. I think that that's the only way." I nodded. Tom returned it in agreement as he leant back against our bed on his hands.

"The only sensible one, anyway. Imagine, we'll be the first husband-wife mob boss team. We'll be famous for having been together for four years without realising who each other was." He smiled, making me laugh and nod as I started to wrap the bandage around his stomach to hold the gauze in place against the wound.

"We're going to kick ass together out there, Tommy." I stated as I stood up properly and rested my hands on his shoulders as he curled his arms around my waist.

"Fuck yeah we will." He smiled. I returned it and bit my lip as I leant down to kiss him, my heart happy at the fact that Tom not only finally knew what I did, but it turned out that he did the exact same thing. And to me, that was pretty fucking cool.
