The first look (Peter Parker)
Requested by MyMischiefisManaged: Y/N and Peter are at their wedding, and when Peter sees her for the first time, he starts crying tears of joy. Y/N doesn't cry but they have a cute moment together regardless.
I stood at the doors to the manor room, my heart almost pounding out of my chest and my blood audible in my ears as people swarmed around me. I bit my lip and desperately tried not to cry as my bridesmaids moved quickly around me to make sure that my veil fell correctly against my hair and that my dress was as smooth against my body as it could be. I had to look perfect. After all, I was about to marry the love of my life, Peter. And that's why I was so nervous. Good nerves, of course. Peter and I had met ten years ago now, when my dad recruited him as a scared fifteen-year-old who had had a freak spider bite accident which gave him powers. Peter was lucky like that. We had hit it off immediately, but for reasons including Peter having still been a very awkward kid and the fact that he was navigating through having just developed superpowers, we hadn't started dating until we were eighteen. But once we had started, we hadn't stopped. Peter had proposed to me three years ago on our four-year-anniversary, and I had said yes in a heartbeat. He was truly the only boy that I ever wanted to be around, let alone share my life with, and so it had been the easiest decision that I'd ever made. I just couldn't believe that the actual day was already here, I was minutes away from marrying the love of my life. And I couldn't wait. Dad appeared beside me, making me give him a small smile as I took his arm.
"You ready to do this, kid? You can still run, you know, be free, I won't tell anyone." He teased, making me laugh and shake my head.
"You know how much I love him, dad, and you know how much he loves me. You know that he's the only guy on the planet who you'd give me away to." I nodded. He sighed and returned it as he gently patted my hand.
"Yeah, I do. He's a good kid, and you're right that he's the only boy on this earth who I'd trust to treat you right for the rest of your lives. I've never seen love like I've seen it between you two." He shook his head. I bit my lip and desperately tried not to cry as I looked at him.
"Thanks, dad. Means a lot." I whispered. He leant in and kissed my cheek, making me give him another smile as the doors in front of us opened.
"Here we go." He mumbled, making me nod and take a deep breath as we started to walk.
Peter's P.O.V
"God, what's taking her so long?" Ned sighed, Peter, him and MJ standing at the front of the manor's decadent reception room as they waited for Y/N to arrive.
"No, it's good that she's late, she's always late, it's right on character for her, I'd be worried if she wasn't late, it's all good, it's all fine, she's meant to be late." Peter rambled, his fingers fiddling with each other and his foot tapping against the floor as his stomach was filled with butterflies.
"Not to mention that it's the bride's prerogative to be late. You two need to stop freaking out." MJ chuckled and shook her head.
"I don't even know why you're freaking out, Ned, you're not the one getting married." Peter gulped as he looked at the doors again.
"I'm freaking out for you." Ned nodded.
"Supportive freaking out." MJ smiled.
"Please just stop. The entire point of you two being my best man and best woman is that you keep me calm, not add to me freaking out." He groaned.
"Ned's doing that all by himself, I'm not part of that." MJ scoffed. Peter sighed and looked at the doors again. As if on cue, they opened, making his eyes widen.
"Fuck, here we go." He gulped as everyone stood up and the music started. He desperately tried to remain calm, though his heart was almost pounding out of his chest as Y/N and Tony started to walk down the aisle towards him. His eyes wavered, his mouth falling open as he saw her.
"Oh my god." He choked, tears starting to leave his eyes at the sight of her. She smiled at him, making him return it and bite his lip as he let his eyes rake up and down her perfect body. She was clad in a dress that was straight out of a fairytale, the beautiful white lace hugging her chest perfectly before expanding into a stunning skirt from her waist down. The train of her dress almost floated behind her, her veil also resting against it as it sat in her beautifully curled hair. As for her face, Peter had no words. She was the most stunning girl on the planet anyway, let alone when her makeup was done to such perfection. Peter couldn't believe his eyes, and he couldn't believe that this was the girl who he was lucky enough to be marrying. They continued to smile at each other as she moved towards him, tears streaming down his face as he just watched her. Because the truth was that he saw his entire life in front of him, in her. He saw the next two weeks, where they'd enjoy their honeymoon in Bali in one of Tony's private villas. Then the next few years, where the best parts of his days would be waking up with her in his arms, and then falling asleep again with her head on his chest. He could already hear the pitter-patter of tiny feet against wooden floors, children's laughter and squealing ringing in his ears and filling his heart with happiness. He could see them sitting side-by-side on a wooden porch in seventy years' time, their wrinkled hands softly holding one another as they'd gently push themselves back and forth in rocking chairs, their children cooking on the barbeque as the grandchildren ran about the lawn and played with each other. Peter could see it all, and he couldn't wait for any of it. But right now, he was back to focusing on how beautiful his soon-to-be-wife looked, and how much he loved her. He truly couldn't imagine his life without her, and so now he was glad that he'd never have to. Life was perfect, and it was all because of her.
Y/N's P.O.V
Everyone stared at me as dad and I walked down the aisle, what felt like millions of smiling faces fixated on me as I walked. But all I was focused on was Peter. Bless him, I thought as I could see the tears streaming down his face even from here. But that's how I knew that he loved me, that's how I knew that he thought that I looked stunning in this dress. Peter had never failed to show me how much he loved and appreciated me, and right now was no exception. I continued to stare into his eyes as we kept walking, the rest of the room disappearing as we just stared at each other. There was no one else there, all we could see was each other, and it was perfect. I couldn't wait for the rest of our lives acting like there was no one else in the world, and that life started today. Dad and I reached the altar, making me give him a small smile as he kissed my cheek and I handed him my bouquet. He turned to Peter.
"Look after her, kid. You know that I can make you disappear and make it look like an accident." He teased, making Peter chuckle as he shook my dad's hand.
"I know that you can, Mr. Stark. But you know that I'll look after her." He reassured.
"Yeah. I know, kid." He nodded, making me bite my lip as he cupped Peter's face before moving to his seat next to Pepper in the front row. I turned and looked at Peter, his eyes still slightly red but full of love for me regardless as he took my hands.
"Hey." He mumbled.
"Hey." I whispered equally as quietly.
"You ready to do this, then? You know, promise to spend the rest of our lives together?" He smiled. I returned it and bit my lip, my heart slowing back down simply because of the fact that I was with Peter. And that was enough.
"I've been ready since the day that I met you, Pete. And I'm ready to spend the rest of my days with you." I nodded.
"Good. Because so am I." He smiled, making me return it as we turned to the officiant and started the ceremony.
