The day that I die *part 1* (Tom Holland)

Requested by ellaswork_: Tom, his brothers and Harrison are all vampires. It's Y/N's last day as a human before Tom turns her, so all of them take her out for the day and do whatever she wants for her last day as a human.

I sat on my sofa, my blood rushing through my ears and my heart almost pounding out of my chest as I waited for the sound of the doorbell that would signal the start of the day. I was both extremely nervous and excited for the day ahead, and that was for one reason only. Today was the day that I was going to die. Naturally people were very confused when I told them that, and so I always had to explain the admittedly odd situation that I had found myself in. Four years ago today, I met the love of my life, Tom Holland. From the moment that I'd seen him, I had just known that he was the one that I was meant to be with. His beautiful wavy curls and chocolate eyes, not to mention his gorgeous body made him a real treat to look at, and his personality was one that just always clicked with mine. I had loved him immediately, and had soon discovered that he felt the same when he'd asked me out the same night that we'd met. On our three-year-anniversary, Tom had gotten down on one knee and proposed to me, me having said yes without giving it a second thought. But there was something else, something that I had known would always affect our lives together. And that was that Tom was a vampire. Tom was the eldest son in an entire dynasty of vampiric beings, his three brothers and best friend also part of his pack. It had never bothered me that he was an immortal being, especially as his pack wouldn't harm people as part of their hunt, and he would always protect me if we were around vampires who didn't adhere to that code. What I hadn't known, however, was that vampires couldn't marry humans. This meant that with Tom's marriage proposal came the requirement that if I wanted to marry him, I had to let him turn me and grant me eternal life too. It was either that he bit me and turned me into a vampire, or we had to go our separate ways and never see each other again, and the choice had been mine to make. My answer of yes hadn't changed with this new information, hence why I was currently waiting for my fiancé, his brothers and best friend to show up at my house for one last day of me being alive. It would be a good day. I snapped out of my thoughts, my heart jumping as the doorbell rang. I took a deep breath to compose myself before standing up and answering it. Immediately Tom smiled at me, his pearly white fangs no longer scaring me, but instead only adding to my attraction towards the love of my life.

"Morning, darling." He smiled as he leant down and kissed me.

"Hey." I chuckled nervously as I looked between Tom, his brothers and Harrison.

"You absolutely reek of nerves, mate." Harrison stated, making me sigh and bite my lip.

"I know, I'm sorry. I just, I know that I'll be alive after it's done, but I still die today. Dying is big and is something that we're taught to be terrified of since we don't come back, not like you guys do." I gulped.

"We know human culture, Y/N, we get it. But it's okay. Like you said, you'll be coming back. You'll come back dead, sure, but you will still be you. Just you with eternal life." Sam reassured.

"Are you honestly sure that you want to spend eternity with Tom, though? Death sounds less painful." Harry teased.

"Oy." Tom scoffed, making us all laugh as he thumped Harry over the back of his head.

"I'm sure, Harry. Tom is the love of my life, I wouldn't be able to live without him. So, eternity with him actually sounds pretty good." I smiled at Tom, making him return it as he curled his arms around my waist.

"You're too sweet to me, darling. And I love you for it." He nodded before leaning down and kissing me again. I returned the kiss and smiled into it, my hands holding his face as his hands cupped my waist.

"As much as I hate to disrupt this lovely moment, we're burning daylight, we should make a move." Harrison chuckled.

"Right, sorry." I returned, making Tom smile and bite his lip as I grabbed my bag and slipped my hand into his before we headed out for the first activity of the day.

The five of us sat in the diner booth, several plates of various food in front of me as I wolfed it down.

"I've seen how much you eat, sweetheart, there's no way in hell that you're going to get all of that eaten." Tom scoffed and shook his head.

"I know, Tommy, but I won't be able to eat any normal food once I'm turned, so I'm using my day to eat all the food that I've always wanted to try or that I've always loved, before it's too late." I shrugged.

"I don't understand how you can eat all of this stuff." Harry winced as he prodded at the pancakes, burgers and fries with a fork.

"I don't understand how you can drink blood and nothing else." I teased back.

"Don't complain, that'll be you from tomorrow." He chuckled, making me smile and nod as I continued to eat the food.

"So, what's next on the list for stuff to do?" Harrison asked.

"Well, I want to watch the sunset but obviously we can only do that at a certain time. Apart from that, I don't really know. What can you guys not do that I might miss doing when I'm turned?" I asked. They all looked at each other, their eyebrows furrowed as they tried to think.

"Um...oh, I've got one. You love the beach, right? We all have to take pills daily so that we don't die by going out into the sunlight. How about we go to the beach and you can have one last day in the sun without having to take pills?" Sam suggested.

"That's actually a really good idea." Tom nodded.

"Yeah, it is, I love it. Have a day on the beach, go swimming for the last time in the ocean before I get turned, and then watch the sunset and be turned. I love it." I smiled.

"Let's go then." Tom returned my smile, making me giggle in excitement as we all stood up and Tom took my hand again.

We sat on the beach, all of the boys huddled under the beach umbrella as I got undressed into my bikini to go swimming.

"You boys coming in?" I asked.

"We only have one pill left between us for today. And well, the natural answer was for Tom to take it, so that he can go into the ocean with you." Harrison nodded. I looked at Tom, making him wink at me as he popped the pill into his mouth before downing it with some water.

"Thank you, guys. That means a lot." I smiled.

"Of course. Now, go enjoy your last swim as a living person." Sam chuckled, making me return it and shake my head as Tom pulled his t-shirt off. Both of us were left in just our swimwear as he took my hand and we started to jog towards the ocean. I squealed as suddenly, Tom swiped my legs from underneath me and lifted me up bridal style.

"Tom!" I laughed as he ran with me in his arms into the ocean.

"What? It was meant to be a romantic gesture." He smiled, making me playfully roll my eyes and chuckle at him as we both became submerged in the cold salt water. Tom bit his lip at me, me returning the expression as he wrapped my legs around his waist underneath the water and held my waist as I hooked my arms over his shoulders.

"You know, love, I'm never going to be able to thank you enough for what you're doing. The sacrifice that you're making is a huge one, but I'm so glad that you're doing it because I can't live without you." he mumbled, his gaze flicking between my eyes and lips as he shook his head. I bit my lip and returned the glance.

"You don't need to thank me, Tommy, I'm doing this for both of us. Because I can't live without you either. It was a choice between having you out of my life forever and therefore living miserably until I died in seventy years, or dying and being brought back to life so that I could live with you for eternity. There was really no question." I whispered. He smiled and bit his lip, his eyes full of love as he looked at me. It would have been one thing getting to spend the rest of my life with this boy, but spending the rest of eternity with him was something that I couldn't wait for.

"I love you, darling. So fucking much." He choked.

"I love you too, Tommy. I'm ready to be yours forever." I nodded. He returned it and gave me a small smile, making me return it as I leant in and kissed him.

All of us sat on the beach, my eyes glued to the ocean as the sun set over it. The changing position of it cast beautiful colours of orange, pink and purple across the sky, tears pricking my eyes at the mere sight of it. But also pricking my eyes because of the fact that my last day alive was officially over. I knew that better things were waiting for me on the other side, though. Tom sat down next to me, making me give him a small smile as he curled his arm around my waist.

"You okay, darling?" He mumbled as I rested my head on his shoulder. I nodded and bit my lip.

"I'm ready." I admitted quietly. He looked down at me.

"Okay, love. We better do this then. It needs to be done before the sun fully sets." He explained, making me gulp and nod as the boys moved to sit around me.

"All that's going to happen is that I'm going to bite you. You'll start to feel weak and will pass out, that's okay, that's meant to happen. The boys are here to make sure that my urges don't take over and that I don't accidentally drain you, but that won't happen, I promise. And when you wake up, well...you'll be one of us." He gave me a small smile, but it dipped as tears pricked his eyes. I gulped harshly and nodded, a tear also leaving my eye. I was really about to die.

"I understand, Tommy. It's okay." I reassured. He sighed and cupped my face, making my heart start to thump more harshly as he gently pressed our foreheads together.

"This will go fine, sweetheart, but I want you to know how much I love you. I've been alive for three hundred years, but my life didn't start until I met you. You made my life worth living, and I can never thank you enough for that. I can't wait for you to make every single day of our lives together worth living." He confessed. I couldn't help but cry at his words, my heart racing as I realised what he was doing. He was saying goodbye to me, just in case this didn't work. This had to work.

"I love you too, Tommy. And I'm going to tell you that every day for the rest of our lives together, so get ready for an eternity of 'I love you'." I smiled, making him laugh and nod as he leant in and pressed our lips together. I returned the kiss, the tears leaving both of our eyes making it slightly salty but I didn't care. All I cared about was trying to remember the feeling of his lips against mine, just in case it was the last time that I'd ever experience it. He broke the kiss and moved his lips down to my neck, making me gulp and breathe out. As always the feeling of him kissing my neck felt amazing, but in this case I knew that it was also a precursor for what was about to come. And I had to be ready for it.

"I love you." Tom mumbled before sinking his fangs into my neck. I winced harshly, my eyes squeezing shut and my teeth clenching at the pain as he raised his hand and tilting my neck to give himself more access. I tried my hardest not to resist him, after all I knew that it would only work and not actually kill me if he got the venom into my bloodstream. But it was hard given the white-hot pains that started to shoot up and down my neck.

"Tommy." I choked, the pain starting to get too much as I started to feel weaker.

"Lie her down, Tom, you're losing her." I heard Harrison say as my eyes started to fight to stay open. Tom's hand cradled my neck, my head lulling back as he gently lay me down on the beach towel. He finally released his fangs from my neck, a breath leaving my lips as I got increasingly weaker.

"You're okay, love, you're okay. Let go, it's alright." He nodded, his hand cupping my neck and tears running down his face as I looked at him. I gave him a small smile before my eyes wandered past him and saw the millions of flecks of light that came with the approach of night. It was beautiful. The final breath left my lips, Tom's hand soothingly rubbing against my cheek and keeping me calm as my heart started to slow down and my eyes gently fluttered shut.
