Teddy bear (Tom Holland)

Requested by fiftyshadesofdowney: Tom goes to IKEA with his and Y/N's child to get them a wardrobe, as requested by Y/N. They come home with a huge panda bear for the child and Y/N sees it and blames Tom.

I sat in the living room, my eyes on my phone as I scrolled through social media. I looked up and gave Tom and our daughter, Olivia, a small smile as they came into the room.

"You ready to go to IKEA with daddy, Liv?" I asked our five-year-old.

"Yeah! It's going to be so fun, I'm going to bounce on all of the beds and daddy is going to buy me loads of toys!" She squealed excitedly.

"No, he's not, because you're going there to buy a wardrobe, and nothing else. What are you going there to buy, Tom?" I questioned my husband as he sat down next to me on the sofa to start tying his laces.

"I know, I know, a wardrobe and nothing else." He chuckled.

"Exactly." I nodded. "Nothing else apart from toys." He mumbled quietly, making Olivia giggle as he subtly flicked his eyes up to her.

"No!" I exclaimed, making Tom smirk and shake his head as he looked at me. I loved Tom to the ends of the earth and back, my life with my husband of seven years and our five-year-old daughter just perfect. I never had much to complain about. Well, apart from the fact that Olivia always, and I meant always, got her way with her father. She was the ultimate daddy's girl, Tom giving in to her requests every time at just a flash of her chocolate eyes that were identical to his. This meant that whenever they went shopping by themselves, I always had to give Tom strict orders to not diverge from the list, but that never helped. I now expected him to come back with what I'd asked him to buy, plus a new dress, toy, bag of sweets or something else too for Olivia. But this time, I was determined that he'd not do that.

"I'm joking, love, I'm joking. I know that we're only going to IKEA for her new wardrobe, absolutely nothing else." He chuckled and shook his head as he stood up.

"But, daddy." Olivia spoke in a quiet voice, making my eyes widen as she already started to flash her infamous puppy dog eyes.

"Olivia Nichola Holland, you put those eyes away right now, and stop manipulating your dad into buying you new stuff! You're the most spoiled little girl on the planet, you already have plenty of toys!" I exclaimed.

"Mummy is right, Liv, you have enough toys. Come on, love, let's go." He nodded as he picked her up.

"Be good for daddy, Liv. I'll see you two in a couple of hours, with ONLY a wardrobe!" I called after them as he carried her into the hallway.

"Yes, my love!" He yelled back, making me chuckle and shake my head as they left the house. But deep down, I already knew that Tom yet again wouldn't be sticking to his guns. I'd just have to deal with that when they got home.

Tom's P.O.V

"Don't let go of my hand, Liv, this is a big and busy place, I don't want you to get lost." Tom mumbled, his daughter's tiny hand cupped in his as they walked through the shop.

"Ah, here we are." He smiled down at her as they got into the kids' furniture and toys section of IKEA.

"Daddy, look at all of these cute toys!" She squealed as she let go of his hand and ran to one of the big white baskets of plush unicorn and dragon toys.

"Nice try, sweetheart, but we're here for a wardrobe, remember?" He chuckled, making her pout as he gently put his hands underneath her armpits and lifted her up before pivoting her in the direction of the wardrobes and putting her back down again.

"I don't even want a new wardrobe, daddy." She huffed.

"Course you do, darling, look how cool these are. You can get a princess castle one, you can get a dragon one, you can get a racing one. Look, they've even got an animal one. You love animals, Liv." he nodded, her hand back in his as they looked at the colourful assortment of display wardrobes.

"I know that I do, which is why I want an animal toy, not a wardrobe." She whined. "Liv, come on. We're here for a wardrobe and that's what you're going to get." He nodded as he looked down at her.

"Okay, daddy." She gave in eventually with a sigh.

"Good girl. Now, which one do you like the most?" He asked. She scrunched up her face in thought as she looked along the row of wardrobes.

"Hmm...can I have the animal one, please, daddy?" She asked as she looked up at him.

"Course you can, darling. Well done for asking so nicely." He nodded as he briefly let go of her hand to write down on the piece of paper what model the wardrobe was so that they could get it in the warehouse.

"Oh my god-DADDY, LOOK!" He turned around, his eyes widening and his mouth hanging open at the massive panda teddy bear that Olivia had picked up. It was almost bigger than the girl herself.

"Absolutely no way, Liv, put it down, no chance." he scoffed and shook his head.

"Please, daddy, it's not even that expensive! It's only...fifty pounds! That's not expensive, is it?" She asked.

"Well, no, but mummy will kill me if I let you go home with that. Remember what she said, no toys." He sighed.

"Well, that might not have included big toys." She shrugged.

"Oh, it definitely included big toys." Tom scoffed and chuckled, his head shaking as he couldn't help but slightly respect his daughter's hustle.

"Pretty please, daddy. I won't ask for a toy the next time that we go shopping, I promise." She nodded.

"We both know that that's not true." He teased.

"Please, daddy." She nodded again before doing the one thing that always made Tom's heart melt. Her lips formed into a pout, her eyes widening into the fatal puppy dog eyes as she looked up at her dad. He sighed and bit his lip, something about his daughter looking up at him like that with his own eyes always just making him give in. Y/N's going to kill me, he thought as he felt himself giving in.

"Fine, alright, Liv. Yes, you can handle the giant panda teddy bear." He chuckled and shook his head.

"YAY! Thank you so much, daddy, thank you!" She squealed.

"It's okay, love, glad that you're happy. Come on, let's go and get your wardrobe." He nodded, Olivia returning it and putting her hand back into Tom's as they continued on through the shop.

Y/N's P.O.V

I stood in the kitchen, washing and drying dishes as I waited for Tom and Olivia to get back. As if on cue, I heard the front door open.

"MUMMY! Look what daddy got me!" I heard Olivia's excited voice. I sighed and closed my eyes in exacerbation.

"I knew it." I chuckled to myself before turning and heading out of the kitchen. My eyes widened, my mouth falling open as I saw the huge teddy bear that my daughter was carrying, the toy almost bigger than her herself.

"What the-." I looked at Tom, my husband giving me a sheepish smile in return.

"Again?!" I exclaimed.

"I know, I know, I'm sorry, but you know that I can't help it. She gave me the puppy dog eyes and I just melted, that's why I always need you there to be bad cop." He smiled sheepishly. I chuckled and shook my head, a slightly exacerbated sigh leaving my lips as I looked at the massive toy.

"You do know how to work your daddy, don't you, Liv?" I laughed and shook my head, my mind not being able to help finding the humour in the situation as I leant down and hugged her.

"He could have said no." She shrugged, making Tom scoff and me laugh again as I looked up at him.

"I did, young lady, several times, you wore me down!" He protested with a laugh.

"That doesn't matter, you've bought it now. What's it called, darling?" I asked.

"Panda." She nodded. I chuckled and shook my head, as did Tom as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Panda...the panda. Love it. Go and show Panda your room." I sighed and stood back up, making her laugh as she rushed down the hallway and out of sight. I bit my lip as Tom walked towards me.

"You're never taking her shopping alone again." I shook my head.

"I know." He groaned, making me chuckle and peck his lips before heading back into the kitchen.
