Morning wood *part 2* (Tom Holland)
Requested by megholland: Y/N ends up getting pregnant and so she and Tom celebrate.
Tom and I sat at his parents' dining table, the pair of us having dinner with his whole family before we went to America next week for him to start filming the third 'Spider-Man' movie. But with how I was currently feeling, I wasn't sure that I'd be up for it. I'd been feeling nauseous and unsure for the last week, my stomach not being able to hold anything down and I had no idea why. Knowing my luck, I had either developed a stomach bug just days before we left the country...or after a year of trying to get pregnant, I finally was...just days before we left the country. Of course we'd both be over the moon if I was pregnant, but I was sure that I wasn't. Come to think of it, though, I hadn't gotten my period yet either, and I'd been having weird-ass food cravings. Maybe...just maybe-.
"Love?" I snapped out of my thoughts as Tom's hand landed on my thigh. I gulped and looked at him.
"You okay? You looked zoned out there." He chuckled. I sighed and shook my head.
"Sorry, I just feel really gross again. Nikki, I'm so sorry, the food is lovely, I just have this stomach thing going on right now." I gulped as I looked at Tom's mum apologetically.
"Don't apologise, love, I wouldn't want you to make yourself sick or anything by forcing yourself to eat." She reassured. I gulped and nodded, though the nausea was getting stronger by the second.
"I think that it's too late for that." I stated before shooting up from the table and rushing out of the kitchen.
"Darling!" I heard Tom yell after me but I ignored him as I rushed into their downstairs bathroom. I collapsed onto my knees and threw the toilet seat up before throwing up into the bowl.
"Fuck, you really are sick, aren't you?" I sighed, Tom's voice sounding and his hands gently moving my hair out of the way and bunching into a ponytail as I threw up again.
"I have no idea what's wrong, Tommy. It's been like this for a week now, and it's only getting worse." I gulped as I sat back against the wall of the bathroom.
"I'm so sorry to intrude, but I thought that you could use some water." Nikki spoke, the woman appearing at the door with a glass of water.
"Thanks, Nikki. I'm sorry that you have to see me like this." I chuckled tiredly, making Tom give me a small smile as my husband gently rubbed my shoulder and back.
"Don't be silly, love, I've seen much worse from my boys, it's okay. Just, um...just out of curiosity...how's the trying for a baby going?" She asked. My eyes widened, my mouth falling open and my heart jumping at her words. She had noticed it too, I wasn't the only one who had suspected that something was up. Tom looked between us with furrowed eyebrows.
"Mum, why the hell are you asking that, that's way overstepping-." He stopped speaking, his eyes also widening as he looked back at me.
"What, you...you think that this could be pregnancy?" He gulped. I bit my lip and looked up at him, making Nikki also look at him sheepishly as his mouth fell open.
"I'm going to leave you two alone. Come back to the table whenever you're ready, no rush." She reassured and gently touched Tom's shoulder as she left. He gulped and shut the door before looking at me.
"You really think that you could be pregnant, love? Are you sure that this isn't some kind of bug?" He shook his head as he sat down on the edge of the bath next to me. I sighed and looked up at him.
"I mean, it's been a couple of months since the last time that we tried properly, since that morning when you had that dream. Not to mention that I haven't had my period yet. It's only a few days late, but that paired with the sickness, the cravings, it all just matches up too perfectly." I nodded. His eyes continued to stare at me, a slight glassiness forming over them as he clearly tried not to cry.
"Wow, I...I can't believe it. We might actually be having a baby." He smiled and shook his head, making me chuckle and bite my lip as I took his hand.
"Don't get too excited yet, Tommy, I need it confirmed. I'll get a doctor's appointment and see what they say." I nodded.
"And I'll come with you. God, I hope that you are." He smiled, making me giggle as he took my hand and gently kissed it.
Tom and I sat in the doctor's office, our hands tightly grasped together as we sat in the chairs on the business side of the desk. I had given the doctor a blood sample a couple of days ago, and we had been called back in today for the result. To say that we were nervous was an understatement.
"Have you gotten your period yet, sweetheart?" Tom asked as he looked at me. I bit my lip and shook my head at him.
"I've never been this late before either." I stated.
"I just...I don't understand how you can't be. Surely, everything points to you being pregnant over a stomach bug or something." He gulped and shook his head.
"You're right, Tommy, but I just don't want you to get your hopes up, we've had times like this before where I turned out not to be pregnant. I just don't want you to get too excited, only for us to be told that I'm not pregnant." I reasoned. He sighed and nodded as the door opened, making us both look at it as the doctor walked in.
"Sorry to keep you two waiting, I'm sure that both of you are very eager to hear the results of this test." She smiled as she walked in and leant against the desk in front of us.
"He's more excited than I am." I teased, making Tom chuckle and shake his head as the doctor smiled at us.
"Well, he's right to be. Both of you are right to be. Congratulations, Mrs Holland, your blood tests showed that yes, you are pregnant." She nodded. My eyes widened, a choke leaving my lips and tears immediately pricking my eyes as I felt my heart leap in happiness in my chest. I looked at Tom, tears already leaving my husband's eyes as he looked at me.
"Oh my god." He smiled, making me laugh and shake my head as tears started to run down my face too. I looked back at the doctor.
"Can you tell how far along I am? We're flying to America in three days, am I okay to fly?" I gulped.
"Yes, you're okay to fly, you're fine to fly until the third trimester, but you're only seven weeks along. I'm assuming because of your husband's job that you'll likely have the baby out there since you won't be able to fly back, but you're fine to fly this week." She nodded.
"Is there anything else that you can tell us? Can we know the sex or anything?" Tom shook his head.
"It's too early to tell the sex, but we'll take you through for an ultrasound in a few minutes, just to check that everything is okay. But I can reassure you that from the levels of hormones in your blood, everything looks just fine." She smiled.
"Thank you. Thank you so much." I choked and shook my head.
"I'll leave you two to process this news. Just come to reception when you're all done and we'll get an ultrasound done." She nodded as she stood back up.
"Thank you." Tom returned the nod as she left the room. I choked and shook my head, my entire body filling with pure happiness as I looked at Tom. Tears were streaming down both of our faces, smiles plastered onto our lips as we just stared at each other.
"We're having a baby. We actually did it, oh my god!" He laughed and shook his head, making me return it as he leant forward and hugged me tightly. I returned it, both of us sobbing into each other's shoulders as we held onto each other for dear life.
"I love you so much, Tommy. I love you so fucking much." I shook my head.
"I love you too, darling. And I already love our baby so much too." He nodded, making me smile as he pulled back and kissed me.
Tom and I stood on the dance-floor, my arms over his shoulders and his hands cupping my waist as we danced to the music. In order to celebrate finding out that I was in fact pregnant, Tom and I had gone to our favourite club to do what we loved to do most together apart from sex: dance. Of course I wasn't drinking, but I didn't care when I was in Tom's arms and dancing the night away before we told everyone else. Just a few hours of bliss before it went from being our little secret, to being the world's knowledge. I laughed as Tom took my hand and spun me around, making him smirk and bite his lip as he watched me spin before pulling me back into his arms.
"I can't believe that we finally did it, sweetheart. We're finally having a baby, after so many months of trying." He smiled and shook his head, one of his hands taking mine into it as he continued to sway us.
"Does that mean the sex will stop?" I fake-pouted.
"Hell fucking no, just the unprotected sex." He scoffed, making me laugh and shake my head as I rested it on his shoulder.
"Seriously, though, darling, I feel like the luckiest man alive tonight. I have the world's most beautiful woman as my amazing wife, who's giving up her job for two years to come with me to America. And if that wasn't perfect enough, now she's carrying my child who is no doubt going to be as perfect as their mum. I just...life couldn't get any better." He mumbled into my ear, making me bite my lip as he kissed my head. I looked up at him, tears pricking my eyes as I looked into his beautiful chocolate eyes. Even in the club's shitty light, they were still the most perfect eyes that I'd ever had the pleasure of seeing.
"I feel the same about you, Tommy. Life with you is just perfect, and I can't wait to move out to America with you. I can't wait to continue waking up every morning tucked under your arm, I can't wait to continue enjoying stupid, mundane things just because I'm doing them with you, I can't wait to have a baby with you. I can't wait." I smiled and shook my head as tears left my eyes. He returned my smile and leant down to kiss me. I kissed back, his hands on my waist pulling me closer as I cupped his face. He broke the kiss and looked at me, making my heart flutter as his hand moved to cup my stomach.
"I love you, darling. I love you and our baby so much." He shook his head.
"I love you and our baby so much too, Tommy." I smiled, making him return it as I rested my head back against his shoulder and we continued to dance the night away.
