Friendly neighbour *part 2* (Tom Holland)
Requested by tomholland20012: Tom asks Y/N out on a date and their relationship develops into more than just friends.
"Tom! It's me! Please!" I yelled as I rapidly hammered my fist against my neighbour and crush's door. After a moment, it opened, making me smile sheepishly at him.
"Don't worry, I know the drill, love." Tom chuckled as he wandered out of his apartment and shut the door behind him.
"I'll love you forever for all of the spiders that you've banished from my apartment." I smiled, making him smirk and shake his head as we went back into my apartment.
"Yeah, you better." He returned. I giggled and bit my lip, the flirting having already ensued like it always did. It had been a week since I had invited Tom over for movies and a takeaway as a 'thank you' for getting spiders out of my apartment, meaning that it had been a week since I'd accidentally fallen asleep on him. When I had woken up in the morning, the boy had been gone, but on my phone there had been a text explaining that he'd had to leave for work, and that he'd had a really nice time with me. That was enough to give me hope that we could be more one day.
"Fuck me, that's a big one." Tom scoffed, his eyes widening as he walked into my bathroom and saw the spider on my tiled wall.
"Don't say that, Tommy, just get it out, please!" I whined.
"It's alright, darling, I've got it, I've got it." He reassured with a chuckle as he grabbed the glass and the coaster before raising them. I watched with my collar pulled up to my nose, my heart racing in anxiety of the spider moving or Tom slipping as he raised the glass slowly. He didn't, though. The glass collided with the wall with a soft clink, the spider trapped in between as Tom raised his other hand to put the coaster underneath.
"There we go...dirty little fucker is ready to be thrown out of the window." He smiled.
"As always, thank you so much, I think that I'd die of daily anxiety if I didn't have you to get rid of them for me." I chuckled as he carried the glass through my living room before releasing the spider out of my open window.
"Course, sweetheart, you know that I'd do anything for you." He spoke as he looked at me. I couldn't help but blush, my lips curling into a small smirk as I looked down and felt butterflies in my chest.
"And you know that I'd do anything for you too." I returned, my heart racing and my face still feeling hotter than the sun as I raised my head to look at him again. He winked and gave me a small smile, making me smirk and shake my head as he headed out of my apartment like he normally did, and I watched from my door. He opened his door before stopping, making my eyebrows furrow. He bit his lip, his eyebrows knitted in thought as he looked back at me.
"Can I take you out to dinner?" He asked. My eyes widened, my mouth falling open as my heart harshly jumped in my chest. Was Tom...the guy who I'd had a crush on since moving in...asking me out?
"W-what, like...like on a date?" I chuckled nervously. Given our constant flirting, I was almost certain that he was suggesting a date, but I also didn't want to get my hopes up and make myself look like an idiot in front of him if he was just inviting me out as friends. But god, I hoped that he wasn't.
"Yeah, like a date, if that's cool with you, of course. It's just that I've liked you for a while now, and...I don't know. Now feels like a good time to do something about it finally." He nodded as he looked at me. My lips curled into a smile, making Tom chuckle and return the smile as we looked at each other. He really was asking me out. My heart was freaking the fuck out, my mind already thinking about what to wear on a date which such an attractive guy as it tried to comprehend at the same time that I was actually going out with him.
"Good, because I've liked you for a while now, too. So, yes. I'd love to go to dinner with you, Tommy." I nodded.
"Awesome, love. I'll text you the details, yeah?" He checked.
"Sounds perfect." I smiled.
"Yeah. It does." He nodded, making my smile widen as he winked at me before moving into his apartment and shutting the door behind him. As soon as the door shut, my eyes widened again. I puffed out, my entire body feeling giddy and full of joy as the moment that I had been waiting years for...had finally happened. And it had been perfect.
"You've still got it, Y/N. You've still fucking got it." I giggled and shook my head as I shut my door, and already tried to mentally go through my wardrobe to decide what to wear.
"I'm being serious! For someone whose brother is literally a chef, I cannot cook for shit." Tom chuckled, making me laugh and shake my head as we walked back from our date, our hands joined and fingers intertwined as we walked to our apartment doors.
"Honestly, that really shocks me. You come across as a very well-cultured guy, not a guy who can't make more than beans on toast." I teased.
"Hey, those things are mutually exclusive, I'm very well-cultured, especially in the food that I eat, just not in making said food. That's why I took you out instead of offering to cook for our first date." He smiled, making me laugh again as we got to my apartment door.
"Speaking of which, thank you so much for paying for it all. You really didn't have to." I shook my head as I turned to face him and placed my hands on his chest as he curled his arms around my waist.
"I know that I didn't have to, but I wanted to. It's not every day that I get to take out a girl that I really like. I needed to make it special." He admitted. I smiled and bit my lip, the boy's insanely kind words making my heart leap and my cheeks heat up as our eyes flicked over each other's faces.
"Well, thank you. I had an amazing night with you." I nodded.
"I had an amazing night with you too, sweetheart. We definitely need to do it again sometime." He smiled.
"Oh, definitely." I scoffed and shook my head, making him smile and curl his arms slightly more around my waist to pull me closer. My smile dipped a bit at the action, my heart skipping a beat as my eyes flicked down to his lips. His gaze did the same, his smile also lessening as we both contemplated making the first move. Though, Tom beat me to it. He leant down and smashed our lips together, making me return it immediately. I smiled into the kiss, making Tom smirk as I raised my hands to his face and his hands gripped my waist.
"You want to come in?" I mumbled against his lips, a laugh sounding from me as he immediately nodded. I broke the kiss and turned to face my door, my hands scrambling to open my purse and get my keys out as he curled his arms around my waist from behind and started to leave open-mouthed and nippy kisses on my neck. I gulped harshly at the feeling, the space in between my legs getting wetter and my mouth refusing to let the moans out as I quickly got my key out and shoved it into the lock. I unlocked my door and turned to face Tom, him smirking and me laughing as I grabbed his collar and pulled him into my apartment before shutting the door behind us.
Tom and I lay in my bed, our naked bodies wrapped in my sheets as we just lay looking at each other in the dark. Our eyes flicked over each other's faces, small smiles on both of our lips as Tom's fingers traced gentle and unknown shapes on my waist over the sheets. We were in heaven right now, and we both knew it.
"That was amazing, sweetheart." He smirked and shook his head, making me giggle and nod as I bit my lip.
"It really was. Perfect way to end a perfect date." I admitted. He smiled and bit his lip too, my heart fluttering at how perfect he looked as he gently curled his arm over my waist and pulled me closer to him.
"Tonight was just something else, darling, and I want so much more of it with you. I know that this was only our first official date, but we've both liked each other for a while now. So, I'm wondering if you'll be my girlfriend." He spoke quietly. I tried not to smile too widely, fireworks exploding in my mind and my heart almost leaping out of my chest in happiness at his words. Not only had Tom asked me out, not only had we just had mind-blowing sex, but now, he was asking for us to be official, too. For me to be his girlfriend. This literally couldn't have been any more perfect.
"I'd love to be your girlfriend, Tommy. I'd love to be." I smiled and nodded. He breathed a sigh of relief and held his hand to his chest, making me giggle and bite my lip at how cute he was as I cuddled more into his body.
"I'm so glad that you said that, love, because I don't think that I'd be able to go back to being just friends with you after that. I like you too much to be just your friend now." He admitted.
"Good. Because I like you too much to be just your friend, too." I returned. He smiled and bit his lip at me, making me return it as he leant forward and gently kissed me. I kissed back instantly, my hand raising to gently hold his face as his arm over my waist pulled me closer. I broke the kiss after a moment and cuddled into him, my forehead resting against his chest as my body started to get pulled towards sleep.
"Goodnight, Tommy. Tonight has been amazing." I whispered as my eyelids started to droop.
"Goodnight, sweetheart. And yeah. It was." He returned softly. I smiled tiredly to myself as he kissed my head, my heart and mind the happiest that they'd been in a while as my eyes fluttered shut, and I fell asleep in the protective arms of my new boyfriend.
