The spy *part 1* (Peter Parker)
Requested by pvttersdinosaur: Y/N is a spy for HYDRA and she finds out information about the Avengers and hurts Peter.
I stood in Pierce's office, in front of his desk with my hands held neatly behind my back as I waited for my guardian and boss to brief me on my next assignment. As if on cue, I heard the door open. But I knew better than to turn around.
"You wanted to see me?" I asked as he walked past me and sat down at the other side of the desk. He looked up at me.
"I've been training you since you were a child, Y/N. You became my best agent by far, long before now. And so, I think that you're ready." he nodded. My eyes widened at his words. I had been trained for the last fifteen years, all of it leading to one mission: me infiltrating the Avengers and killing Peter Parker, therefore destroying the team from the inside.
"Thank you, sir. I won't fail you." I shook my head.
"I'm sure that you won't. Though, I still have my doubts about your ability to block your feelings, especially for Parker. He's a young, attractive guy, and you're a young, attractive woman. Are you sure that you'll be able to complete this mission without gaining any feelings for the boy?" he asked.
"You raised me to kill him, sir, not to fall in love with him. I won't let you down." I promised. He nodded and gave me a small smile before standing from his desk.
"You know that this is a long-haul mission, so I'll see you in a year's time. Good luck, Y/N." he nodded. I returned it, raising my hand to my head to salute him before leaving the office. As soon as I left the office, my lips curled into a giddy smile. This was literally what I had been raised to do, and at the age of twenty, I was finally getting to do it. I gave myself a small fist-bump, being careful not to let any of the guards see as I headed back to my room to pack for the challenge ahead.
I walked towards the Avengers' Tower, trying not to scowl as I approached the building that was home to the team of people that I hated most in the world. My mission was clear: Destroy Peter Parker, and the Avengers, from the inside out. And I was going to fulfill it. I walked to the glass doors that led into the Tower, my eyes widening as I walked into the massive building.
"Wow." I scoffed quietly as I looked up at the floors. I had to admit, this place was already amazing. It definitely beat the underground bunker that I'd been raised in.
"Can I help you?"I looked back down and tried not to scowl as Tony Stark walked towards me.
"Yeah, you can. My name is Y/N Y/L/N. I'm here to join the Avengers." I stated. He laughed, making me internally roll my eyes as the arrogant asshole of a man that I'd been raised to hate was already showing through.
"That's not how this works, kid. You don't just show up here, say "make me an Avenger" and expect it to happen." he chuckled and shook his head. I raised my eyebrow before turning my palm up to the ceiling. The purple energy ignited in the palm of my hand, making Tony raise his eyebrow.
"You do when you're like me." I nodded. He returned it.
"Follow me, kid." he demanded before starting to walk down a hallway. I gulped, quickly grabbing the handle of my suitcase before following him. He led me down a hallway that ended with two large metal doors. The doors slid into the walls as he walked towards them, making my eyes widen as they opened to reveal a massive training room.
"Oh my god." I scoffed as I looked around the room that was equipped with every kind of training equipment, from treadmills and bikes, to punching bags and crash mats. And stood on one of the crash mats, was Peter Parker.
"You're playing with the big boys now, Y/N." Tony smirked, making Peter look up. His eyes widened slightly as he saw me.
"Who's this, Mr Stark?" he asked, a gentle smile on his lips as he looked me up and down. A gentle smile that I wanted to punch right off of his stupidly attractive face.
"This is Y/N. She literally just walked through our doors, but she's like us." he nodded. Peter's eyebrows furrowed.
"What do you mean, like us?" the boy scoffed.
"You'll see, because you're about to fight her." he admitted. Both of our eyes widened as I looked at Tony.
"I've literally just gotten here." I scoffed.
"And this is your test. If you fail it, you'll be leaving. If you pass, I'll make you an Avenger immediately. Simple." he shrugged. I gulped and bit my lip, Peter looking equally as unsure as Tony took my bags from me before gently pushed me forward. I stumbled onto the mat, the nerves starting to fill my stomach as I walked further so that I was facing Peter. Sure, I had been training for this all of my life, but part of me honestly thought that I'd never reach this point. And yet, here I was.
"Whenever you're ready, you two." Tony nodded. Peter nodded, his gaze glued to me as he raised his fists. I gulped and also raised mine, happy to let the boy believe that this would be a fist fight in which he had an equal chance of winning. Suddenly, Peter punched his fist out, making my eyes widen. I leant to the side and pointed my flattened palm at his fist. My energy pushed his fist further past me, making him groan as the force made him fall to his knees. I breathed out, only just realising that I'd been holding my breath as he looked up at me.
"You're like Wanda?" he asked. I nodded, making him smile as he stood up.
"That's so cool." he chuckled, making me return his smile as he got back into a fighting position. He lunged at me, catching me off-guard again. But I still had the upper hand. I flattened my palm towards him, making my energy shoot towards him.
"Ah!" he yelled out as it shot into him, making him fly back a good few feet. He landed with a thud, groans leaving his lips as he lay there.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you." I lied.
"It's all good." he shrugged, though his voice was strained as he held his side with his hand.
"Well, kid, you passed the test. Welcome to the Avengers." Tony nodded as he walked towards me. I smiled at him as he placed his hand on each shoulder, pretending to knight me before leaving the room. I looked back at Peter.
"Sorry, I probably shouldn't have hit so hard at you right away." I chuckled as I walked to him and extended my hand to him. He gave me a thankful smile and took my hand, allowing me to pull him to his feet.
"It's okay. The enemy won't go easy on us, so we shouldn't go easy on each other. Welcome to the Avengers. I'm Peter." he smiled as he outreached his hand.
"Y/N." I returned as I shook his hand.
I stood in the room that I'd been given by Tony, unpacking my stuff. I removed a top from the bag, making my eyes waver as removing the garment revealed the gun that I had packed. Not that I needed a gun with my powers, but I figured that multiple ways of killing Peter would be better. I took the gun out and held it in my hand. Suddenly, there was a knock on my door, making my head shoot up to look at it. I gulped, holding the gun properly before hiding it behind my back as I walked to the door. I opened it half way so that only half of my body was showing. My heart jumped.
"Hey." Peter smiled as he stood there, hands shoved into his sweater pant pockets. I gulped as I tried not to focus on how good his biceps looked the way that he was tensing them. Come on, Y/N, remember your training, I thought.
"Hey." I returned the smile as innocently as I could.
"I just kind of came to say hi. Obviously I don't know how you got your powers or what brought you here, but I know how hard it can be having something like that forced onto you. So, I guess that I just wanted to say that I'm here as a friend. I could have used a friend when I first came here, and so I'm giving you that." he smiled. Shit, that's very sweet, I thought as my smile got wider.
"That's so nice, Pete, thank you. I know that we've only just met but I'd love to be your friend." I nodded, my finger on the trigger of the gun behind my back, just in case.
"Awesome. Well, I'm only two doors down if you ever need me. I need to get back to training, but I just thought that I'd reach out." he chuckled and scratched the back of his head.
"Thanks, Peter. I appreciate it." I smiled and bit my lip. He returned the smile and nodded before leaving the doorway. I sighed, my smile dipping as I shut the door. I gulped and looked down at the gun. I was already starting to question why I was here, and it had been less than a day. After all, Peter was already being lovely to me and making an effort to be my friend, would I really be able to kill him after a year of friendship? I sighed and tossed the gun down onto my bed. This was going to be harder than I thought.
