The first date (Tom Holland)

Requested by simpforsoup: It's Y/N and Tom's first date and he's very nervous. He takes her to a special restaurant which turns out to be closed. Tom feels awful since he was trying to impress her

I opened my door, giving Tom a smile as he stood there holding a bunch of flowers.

"Hey." he chuckled, leaning down and kissing my cheek as he walked in.

"Those aren't for me, are they?" I scoffed.

"Course they are, darling." he smiled, making me return it and bite my lip as I took the beautiful flowers from him. I had been hired as part of the production team for the third "Spiderman" movie, and didn't think anything of my crush on Tom since it was made clear that I wouldn't have much contact with him, Zendaya, or RDJ. Well, I didn't take notice of my crush until Tom took notice of me. He had started giving me warm smiles around the set, making me surprised that he'd even noticed a nobody like me who just happened to work on the set. And then I'd start seeing him every day on my route, making me think that maybe, he'd asked someone what my jobs around the set were. After a month of smiling at each other and developing small conversations, Tom had finally asked me out. I was extremely nervous to say the least, especially considering that I was an average girl with not much money, and he was such a hot-shot young actor. That didn't stop me from saying yes, though.

"You ready for our date?" Tom smiled.

"Let's go." I returned the smile and took the arm that Tom was offering me, the boy leading me out of my apartment.

"So, where are you taking me?" I asked, looking at Tom as he drove along the busy road.

"I'm taking you to Maria's." he admitted. My eyes widened and I turned my body more to face him.

"Tom, isn't that, like, the super, super, super expensive Italian place that RDJ frequents?" I gulped.

"Yeah, it is. He took me there a few years ago to formally meet Zendaya and Jacob, it's really nice there." he smiled.

"And really expensive." I gulped. Tom looked at me, his smile dipping slightly.

"It's okay, sweetheart, I'll pay for everything." he chuckled, his hand landing in my knee in reassurance.

"That's the point, Tommy. I don't want you to think that I'm expecting you to pay for everything, just because you have more money, I'm not like that." I shook my head.

"Hey." he smiled gently at me. I sighed and bit my lip.

"I know that you're not like that, Y/N, I wouldn't like you if you were. I'll be paying because I want to. I like you, and you work so hard on the set. And, I like you." he chuckled, making me return it and shake my head.

"Are you sure that you're okay with paying?" I triple-checked.

"I'm sure, love. I wouldn't offer if I wasn't okay with it." he reassured. I sighed and nodded, finally accepting his word as he drove us into the car-park of this "Maria's". My eyebrows furrowed, as did Tom's as the shutters were down.

"What the fuck?" he mumbled as he parked in a spot. I gulped, a bad feeling in my stomach as we got out of the car and walked to the doors. Tom looked at the sign that was taped to the door.

"'Due to a family holiday, the restaurant will be closed this weekend, sorry for any inconvenience caused'. Shit." he groaned as he rubbed a hand over his face.

"It's a shame, Tommy, but it's okay. We'll find somewhere else to go." I nodded.

"That's not the point, though, darling. I was trying to impress you, and it just hasn't worked out. Fuck, I feel awful." he sighed. I looked at him.

"You were trying to impress me?" I smiled slightly. He sighed and nodded as he awkwardly scratched the back of his neck.

"Yeah, I was. I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I really like you." he replied sarcastically, making me smile and shake my head. Suddenly, I had an idea.

"Come on, I know a place." I nodded as I took Tom's hand and pulled him back to the car.

"What?" he scoffed.

"Just trust me, and drive where I tell you to." I shrugged. He chuckled and shook his head as we got into the car and he started the ignition.

"Alright then." he nodded as he pulled out of the car-park.

Tom drove along the quiet country road, the containers of to-go spaghetti on my lap as he drove. After Tom's plan had been ruined, I had led him to the cheap and local Italian restaurant that I went to, since I wasn't rich or famous like him. We had gotten spaghetti to-go and were currently on our way to an open field to just enjoy our food and each other. Tom drove into the field, the car shaking slightly at the rough terrain before he parked.

"Here we are." he nodded as he made the roof of the car go into the boot so that we could see the stars.

"Oh, Tommy, they're beautiful." I sighed in bliss, the lack of light pollution making it easy to see the thousands of small dots of light.

"Not as beautiful as you." He returned. I smiled and looked at him, biting my lip as I handed him his box of food.

"Shut up and eat." I teased. He chuckled and shook his head as we started eating whilst looking up at the stars.

"I told you that it would work out, Tommy. How amazing is this?" I smiled.

"I know, I just...I was really nervous before the date, and so I just wanted it to go perfectly, you know?" he shrugged. I looked at him.

"You were nervous?" I asked. He returned my gaze.

"Yeah, course I was. You're beautiful and amazing, and it took me a month just to get the courage to ask you out, so I was terrified when it came to actually taking you out." he admitted.

"But...I'm just me." I chuckled, my mind desperately trying to work out why the Tom Holland had been so nervous to take a nobody out on a date. He looked at me again.

"Yeah. And I really like everything about you." he chuckled. I just stared at him, prompting him to continue speaking.

"Look, darling, I don't care who you are. I don't care that you're not a famous celebrity, I don't care that you're not insanely rich. What I care about is the fact that you never fail to give everyone a smile. You're always so kind and genuine. We've been on set for six months now, and I started bumping into you a month ago, not once have I seen you be snappy or mean to anyone. You're absolutely stunning, and your beautiful personality matches that." he admitted. I looked down and smiled, trying not to let tears prick my eyes.

"I think that that's the nicest thing that anyone has ever said to me, Tommy." I nodded as I looked back up at him. He chuckled and nodded as he rested his hand on my thigh.

"I meant every word." he spoke. I smiled and bit my lip before leaning up and gently pressing our lips together. Tom returned it, holding my face as I sunk into the embrace. Tom broke the kiss and looked at me.

"What would you say to a second date?" he smiled. I returned it and bit my lip.

"I'd love that, Tommy." I admitted. His smile widened and he leant down to peck my lips again. I returned the kiss before resting my head and hand on his chest, his arm curling around my waist and pulling my body into his as we cuddled, talked and ate for the rest of the night.
