The bad Spiderman *part 5* (Peter Parker)
I sat on the jetti, looking down at my joined hands as we flew to the HYDRA base that Peter's clone had told us that Peter was being held at. I clenched my jaw as I looked up at the clone, who was sat on the bench across from me on the jetti. I gulped as I studied him, his hands held together with a pair of Tony's electronic handcuffs and an electric muzzle over his mouth and nose to stop him from being able to talk as he stared at me. I studied him for a moment longer before standing up and walking over to him. He followed my movements with his gaze, continuing to look at me as I sat down next to him.
"I need to ask you something, so I'm going to remove the muzzle. But so help me god, if you try anything or say anything that I don't like, I will not hesitate to open the barrier and throw you off of this jetti." I threatened, shaking my head. He nodded, making me sigh as I pressed the button on the side of the muzzle. The walls folded into themselves, making the clone breathe out as it opened.
"Thanks, angel." He mumbled.
"Don't call me that, I'm not your angel. I'm the angel of the boy whose life you tried to take over." I muttered bitterly. He sighed and nodded as he looked ahead.
"How were you made?" I asked. He looked at me.
"Well, when a mommy and a daddy love each other very much-."
"No, we both know that you didn't come to be alive naturally. You're some sort of clone or something." I scoffed.
"You're right, that's exactly what I am." He stated. I looked at him and raised my eyebrow, hinting for him to continue.
"Over the years, HYDRA has collected DNA from all of you, with the end goal of using it in the machine that they've just finished building." He nodded. My eyes widened slightly.
"Are you saying that HYDRA has a cloning machine?" I scoffed.
"That's exactly what I'm saying." He nodded as he looked at me. I sighed.
"Why are you telling me this? I mean, I'm the enemy." I spoke. He chuckled and nodded slightly.
"Yeah, but I like you. Just because I'm a clone whose only mission in life is to take over as Peter and destroy the Avengers from within doesn't mean that I wouldn't want things to be different if this wasn't the situation. It's not my fault that HYDRA created me for the sole purpose of killing you. And it's not my fault that they programmed me to be exactly like Peter, which includes his feelings for you." He mumbled. I sighed and bit my lip, feeling that I had Peter back for the first time since the clone had taken his place.
"Y/N, we're wheels down in five minutes." Natasha spoke from the pilot's seat. I sighed and reluctantly tore my gaze away from the clone to look at her instead.
"Thanks, Nat." I spoke before looking back at the clone.
"I appreciate the fact that you didn't choose this life. But that's not going to stop me from getting my Peter back." I shook my head. The clone sighed and followed me with his eyes as I stood up and headed back to my original seat, not looking up at him again until the jetti landed.
"Where are we going?" I asked as I pulled the clone through the base by his bicep.
"This way." He nodded his head to the left, indicating that we needed to go around the corner.
"Y/N, are you good here? We should probably go hunt down the DNA samples that HYDRA have of us and destroy them." Tony spoke.
"Go, I'm good." I reassured. Tony nodded, Steve and Natasha following him as they ran in the opposite direction.
"Which cell?" I demanded, pushing the clone down the corridor again.
"Jeez, go easy on the pushing. That one." He scoffed as he pointed his still handcuffed hands to a door on the right. I gulped as I stood in front of it before raising my hands. Red energy shot into the metal, immediately blowing the door off of its hinges. I ran in, and my eyes widened as Peter lay unconscious on the floor, the bruises and blood on his face and suit telling me that he was in a bad way.
"Pete, Jesus." I choked as I collapsed on my knees next to him and pulled his head onto my lap. His eyes slowly peeled open before widening as he saw me.
"Y/N? Is that really you?" he gulped.
"It's me, baby, I'm here, it's me." I nodded, giving him a forced smile as I cupped his face with my hand. He choked as he raised his hand to cup mine, tears pricking his stunning eyes. Suddenly, they widened again as he looked past me.
"Y/N, watch out-." Before he could finish, the electric link between the handcuffs was put over my head and against my neck, making my eyes widen and making me choke as the clone pulled me up.
"Leave her alone!" Peter yelled, immediately reaching out for me as the clone started to strangle me.
"Sorry, Pete. If I can't have her, no one can." The clone smirked into my ear, making me feel sick as his lips grazed my earlobe. I scowled, making Peter's eyes widen as I grabbed the clone's biceps. I let red energy wrap around my hands, giving me more strength as I bent down and threw the clone over me, making him groan.
"Peter, we have to go now, can you stand?" I gulped as I put his arm over my shoulder and my arm around his waist.
"Yeah, but it hurts." He winced, making me gulp again as I pulled him to his feet. We started to hobble out of the cell, Peter's full weight on me immensely slowing us down but I had to get him out. We both yelled out in pain and Peter left my arms as the clone barged in between us, knocking us to the floor.
"You don't know when to quit, do you?" the clone smirked as he leant down and grabbed my throat, making my eyes widen as he had somehow snapped the electronic link that held the handcuffs together.
"Get the fuck off of her." Peter spat, the clone hauling me up as Peter managed to roll onto his side.
"And what are you going to do about it, Pete? Last time I checked, you couldn't even sit up without being in so much pain that you wanted to die." He teased. It was Peter's turn to scowl as he forced himself to sit up. My eyes widened as he slowly stood up on shaky feet, the whimpers and cries that were leaving his lips making it clear that he was still in so much pain.
"Ooh, the boy has finally grown a pair." The clone continued to mock. Peter's scowl widened, a yell leaving his lips as he kicked his foot into the clone's back with all of the strength that he could muster. I quickly ducked out of the way, the kick sending the clone's face into the wall as he groaned and fell to the floor.
"You nearly took everything from me, including the love of my life." Peter spat as he straddled the clone and started to send punches to his face. My eyes widened slightly as I just stood back and watched, knowing that Peter had to do this on his own. The clone caught Peter's fist before it hit his face again, making the boy's eyes widen as the clone raised his foot and kicked it into Peter's chest. Peter flew back and collided with the wall, a cry leaving his lips as he fell to the floor. I gulped, my mouth dry as I started to lose track of which Peter was the real one, and which was the clone. After all, Peter having punched the clone so much meant that they now both had bloodied faces, and for some reason, the clone had left the Avengers' Tower in his Spiderman suit. Whoever's idea that had been needed to be sacked.
"Oh, don't you worry, I'll properly take her once I've caved your head in, as well as the rest of your body." The clone threatened as the two of them continued to throw punches and kicks at each other. Suddenly, one of them cried out as the other kicked him into the wall, making him fall down.
"Y/N, now's your chance, kill him." He nodded, pointing to the other Peter who was now leaning against the wall.
"Y/N, angel, don't listen to him, I'm the real Peter." The one against the wall insisted, coughing and doubling over as he held his arm over his waist. My eyes widened.
"Shit." I gulped, my heart starting to race as I couldn't tell which Peter was which. And one wrong move could end the life of the real one. No pressure, I thought as I stared at the two of them.
"Baby, you know that it's me, please." The Peter leaning against the wall choked. I gulped, slowly raising my hand but moving it every few seconds so that I switched between aiming at both of the Peters.
"Don't do this, please, you know me." The one standing up straight gulped. My eyes wavered, a tear leaving my eye as I stared at them both, my mind starting to be made up on which one was the real Peter. My hand slowly moved to aim at the one leaning against the wall, making his eyes widen.
"Baby, it's me, please!" he cried, tears leaving his eyes. I gulped, another tear leaving my eye as my hand started to be enveloped in my energy.
"I'm sorry." I choked before firing.
