The bad Spiderman *part 4* (Peter Parker)
"Get a medical bay cleared, now!" Tony yelled as Steve carried me into the Avengers' Tower, my hand still pressed against the knife wound that was in my waist.
"Fuck me, it hurts." I winced, clenching my teeth as Steve carried me into one of the medical bays and put me down gently onto the hospital bed.
"It will do, looks like it only just missed your intestines." Nat mumbled as she started to clean the wound, making me hiss at the pain.
"You're going to be fine, kid, I promise." Tony nodded as he stood by my side and took my hand. I gulped and returned the nod, a scowl developing onto my lips as Peter stood at the end of the bed, crocodile tears streaming down his face.
"Is she going to be okay, Mr Stark?" he choked.
"She's going to be fine, kid, just give her space." Tony nodded, making Peter return it as he rubbed his eye like a toddler. I rolled my eyes at the act. He had been smart enough to do what he did when we were alone, meaning that everyone believed that the incident had been an accident.
I ran through the woods, using my powers to knock out all of the guards and bad guys as the others took out guards on their patches.
"I think that I'm all done here, guys. Does anyone need help?" I asked into my comms.
"Nah, we're all good here. Good work, kid, head back to the ship." Tony replied. I nodded to myself as I turned around. My eyes widened as I immediately walked into Peter, meaning that I also walked straight into the small knife that he was holding out. I choked as pain swept through my waist and I slowly looked up at him.
"Shit, babe, I'm so sorry, I thought that you heard me saying that I was right behind you." He gulped, but I could tell that he was trying to stop his lips from curling into a smirk. I cried out as he pulled the knife out before holding a finger up to his comms.
"Shit, guys, Y/N's been stabbed." He choked falsely.
"How bad?" Steve asked.
"I-I don't know, there's a lot of blood." He nodded, smirking as he maintained eye contact with me the entire time. I choked as I stared at him, the energy leaving my body so that I had no choice but to let his arm around my waist continue to hold me up.
"Okay, get her on the ship and we'll be there as soon as possible. Keep pressure on the wound. You'll be okay, kid." Natasha reassured before the comms went dead. Peter nodded and smirked at me.
"You hear that, angel? You'll be fine. Walk it off." He teased before leaning down and gently pecking my lips. I didn't return it as he hooked an arm under my legs and swept me off of my feet, picking me up bridal style so that he could carry me back to the ship.
"What do you mean, she accidentally walked into the knife? What were you even doing with a knife?" Tony scoffed.
"That's a very good question, Mr Stark." I nodded, staring at Peter.
"I-I took it from a guard and used it to fight. I did say "hey, babe" when I was behind her, I thought that she'd heard." He lied.
"Bullshit." I spat.
"Okay, alright, that's enough. Point is that it was an accident and that we're going to learn from this. Understood?" Tony asked, looking between Peter and I.
"Understood, Mr Stark, I can promise you that it won't happen again." Peter nodded.
"Good. We've got enough enemies that want to kill us without having accidents where we end up stabbing each other." Tony mumbled before leaving the room. I clenched my jaw, trying desperately not to lunge at Peter as he winked at me, his lips curling into a smirk as he left with Tony.
I sat in mine and Peter's bedroom, trying to formulate a plan to expose the fake Peter and to hopefully get the real one back. Since my talk with Tony, there had been more incidents with Peter that had fully concreted my suspicion that he was an intruder, including him trying to kill me several times during training, and having almost succeeded in the mission. I figured that that was sufficient evidence. I stood up as the door opened and Peter walked in, making me give him a fake smile.
"You okay?" I asked as he walked to me and kissed my head.
"I'm fine, especially with the view that I've got right now." He smirked, making me jump slightly as he slapped my ass. I clenched my jaw, trying my hardest not to slap the fucker in the face as he walked to the bedside table.
"Hey, um, when are you having dinner with May? You were supposed to go today, I had to call her and cancel for you." I nodded as I started to put my plan into motion. I looked into the mirror, trying not to smirk at the fact that my plan was working as I saw his eyes widen in the reflection.
"Oh, yeah, um...I didn't feel up to it, I would rather spend time with you." He chuckled. First red flag, I thought as I looked down and nodded. I knew that Peter loved me with all of his heart, but he would also choose May over me if he was ever forced to make that decision, which also meant that he would never cancel a dinner with May for me. Of course, not that I minded, she was the woman who raised him after all.
"That's sweet. But sounds like you missed out on a good meal, she was going to make you what we had for our one-year anniversary." I spoke, giving him more bait. Only Peter and I knew what we had done for our one-year anniversary, and so not even a HYDRA clone would be able to lie his way past that, the fact becoming obvious as I watched Peter gulp.
"That's a shame. I love that meal." He chuckled and nodded as he tried to lie his way around it. I turned around to face him, making him look properly at me.
"You don't know what the meal was, do you?" I asked, finally breaking the role. Peter gulped before his lips curled into a smirk and he ran at me. Not today, I thought as I raised my hands. Red energy immediately shot at Peter, making him groan as he flew through the wall and landed harshly in the corridor. I jumped through the hole and immediately straddled him, pinning him down as I placed my hand on his throat.
"Thank you for proving that you're not the real Peter. The only time that he ever says he loves May's cooking is to her face to not upset her. Congrats, your big mouth officially exposed you." I nodded. The clone smirked at me.
"Where's the real Peter?" I asked, my tone harsh. The clone's smirk widened, making me clench my jaw as I lifted his head before banging it against the floor, making him groan.
"Where the fuck is the real Peter, asshole?" I spat.
"It's me, babe. You don't like my true colours? Break up with me then." He teased. I yelled out as I raised my closed fist so that it was by my head, laces of red energy surrounding it.
"I know the real Peter, I know my Peter. I know that he wouldn't even dream of doing half the shit that you've done to me the last few days. I'm so sure that you're not my Peter that if you don't give me an answer in the next five seconds, I'm going to stain Mr Stark's floor with your blood. So, time to fucking talk." I snapped.
"Fine. He's in a HYDRA base, very badly beaten up. To be honest, it'll be a fucking miracle if you get to him before he dies. He took quite a battering when I threw him off of the roof." He smirked, biting his lip as he did. I gulped, tears pricking my eyes at his words.
"If he dies because you wanted to play the hero for a day, then I will never stop hurting you. You'll wish that you were dead by the time that I'm done with you." I promised, clenching my jaw as my words only made the clone's smirk widen.
"Woah, what the fuck is going on here?" I looked up to see Tony, Steve and Nat standing a few metres away from us, all with wide eyes.
"I proved that he's not the real Peter." I stated, making their eyes widen further.
"What?" Nat scoffed. Suddenly, the clone punched me in the stomach, instantly winding me as I fell off of him.
"Shit, grab him!" Tony exclaimed as the clone ran at the three of them. As soon as he reached them, Steve whacked his arm into his chest, making the clone groan as he was knocked to the floor. Natasha rushed to me as Tony and Steve grabbed the clone's arms and hauled him up before restraining him.
"You okay, honey?" she asked as she took my arms and helped me to stand up.
"I will be once this asshole tells us how to get the real Peter back." I nodded, looking at the clone as I walked towards him.
"Time to talk, bud." Tony demanded. The clone just smirked as he looked at me.
"He'll die before you find him-." I cut him off as I punched him in the face. He groaned as he fell to the floor, Tony and Steve dropping him. I yelled out as I sent another punch to his face, making him cough blood as he stayed lying on the ground.
"Y/N, that's enough." Tony nodded as he stood in between the clone and I. My eyes widened at him.
"Peter may be dead because of him." I spat.
"And if you carry on and kill him, you're no better." He shook his head. I sighed.
"We're going to find Peter, and we're going to find him alive. But, we need that piece of shit's help to do that, okay?" he asked, putting his hands on my shoulders. I sighed and reluctantly nodded.
"Good. That's progress." He nodded before looking at the clone.
"This is what's going to happen. You're going to help us find the real Peter, alive, for a cushy cell in S.H.I.E.L.DS's holding facility, and the potential for a shorter-than-life prison sentence. You don't help us find Peter alive, S.H.I.E.L.D will never let you see the light of day again. You understand?" he asked.
"Oh, I understand, Mr Stark." The clone smirked as he rolled over onto his back. Tony clenched his jaw before looking at Steve and Natasha.
"Get him to a cell." He ordered. The two of them nodded before hauling him up and forcing his hands behind his back as they walked him down the corridor. I sighed, tears pricking my eyes as I followed his back with my gaze.
"Hey." I looked at Tony and forced myself to give him a small smile.
"We're going to find Peter, and we're going to find him alive. You'll get him back, okay?" he reassured, gently cupping my cheek. I nodded and gave him a small smile. He sighed and returned the nod, quickly giving my head a reassuring kiss before heading after Steve and Nat. I gulped and looked down, a tear leaving my eye at the thought that I may have just lost both Peters. Sure, the clone was a massive asshole who I would never want to be with over my Peter, but he still looked like him, smelt like him, smiled like him. I just wanted my Peter back, and the clone being taken away made me realise that all the more. I bit my lip, another tear rolling down my face as I headed back into my room and slumped down onto the bed, determined to lose myself in the sheets that still smelled like Peter as I let my eyes flutter shut.
